Helldivers 2 Automaton Combat Music (Game Accurate)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 26 май 2024
- This is not the usual content I post. I just felt the need to share my version of the Automaton and Terminid soundtrack. I believe it to be the most accurate recreation that stays true to the game.
Soundtrack is composed by the amazing Wilbert Roget, II.
Warning: you are in range of enemy artillery
Warning: you are in range of enemy artillery
(stratagem jammer in the background)
@@dztrict1000 Throw in a Gunship Tower and a flare going up summing a Factory Strider.
AA emplacements close by also
“Automaton facility destroyed”
In 60 years my grandkids will wonder why their grandpa is terrified of that little red infrared light on the corner of the TV. Well, this is why.
"You've come to DIE, Helldiver SCUM!" - Future Toaster
"it's speaking.. in 1's and 0's.. dear god.."
Everybody chill til the trees are speaking beep boop
Can't wait for the music to switch up suddenly in a bot mission and hear "warning: unidentified hostiles in your area"
It would be even better if the automatons started freaking out too, but I’m pretty sure they’re working with the illuminate.
Just imagine hearing “warning, unidentified vessel approaching lower orbit, Super Destroyer engaging” and you see some gunshots between one of our vessels that broke off to engage and suddenly some portals start opening near you and automatons, attempting to kill both parties. Automatons start freaking out because until then, they were the menace of the galaxy, they held the power to push Super Earth enough, but now something else has returned…
@@Ublivion01 Sounds creepy, but quite awesome
@@Ublivion01 No the illuminate are like xenophobic fallen empires in Stellaris, they are way above everyone else to care unless you fuck with them, something only super earth did.
@@Bot-Sympithizer-A.U.T.O I think that’s why it would be cool if the automatons got nervous around them. These long extinct aliens of immense power show back up and put everyone on notice again.
I love how the automaton music has a distinctly soviet anthem kind of vibe to it.
If you search up easternunit's version you'll find out it even has a chorus(that we never hear in game, likely because respective sound ques never happen).
And yes, it really grasps the feeling of alien menace along with communist death machines
@@ferdithetank7535 Easternunit?
@@OniContraverum the uploader of other remix. Just look up "automaton combat theme" on RUclips and you'll understand
@@OniContraverum easternunit200 made a version that includes the chorus bit. Look up "easternunit200 Helldivers 2" and you should find it.
Fitting considering their propoganda tower messages imply they’ve eliminated inequality by eliminating the individual
When you drop in hot right next to a stratagem jammer and a gunship fabricator….
That was a painful experience
Nothing like that kit up phase on a drop on 7+ difficulty where your fighting just to get your backpack kit back and expend half your lives just trying to survive.
And an Eye of Sauron too, rip
As a helldive difficulty player you wouldn’t understand the amount of frustration I get when there’s like 3 factory striders, 10 gunships, basically 1 million of every automaton and a stratagem jammer at the same time it just sucks
@@Hi45999 Oh boy, do I have news for you.
*_They're adding Difficulty 10. :)_*
The Terminids sound chaotic, and primal, I think it's the choice of percussion. They also have very flowy and chaotic string instrumentation that still seems very grand and impactful, making it seem like every tiny bug could be the one you forget to shoot and kills you. As well, the low brass create an intimidating sound, like the idea of the endless horde.
Overall, their theme sounds like a jumpy, chaotic battle with a tide of bombastic insects that dont stop coming and are constantly in your face.
The automotons are more structured and bombastic, seeming like an anthem of hate. The percussion sounds impactful and consistent, the brass sounds large and intimidating, and the tecni bits that come in here and there compliment the more orchestral bits well, imitating the automoton's contrasting industrial machinery and sci-fi lasers theme, plus it adds auditory intrigue. As well, the fades sound like hydraulic pistons sliding, and the drums sound like metal clashing occasionally. As well, the ambient bits sound very echoey and ethereal. I also notice some of the times the strings sound like a car's engine revving up, or like a swarm of bees.
Overall, their theme sounds like facing a swarm of lasers shot by an intimidating, hateful army of indistrial mechanical soviets.
I thought the bots wouldn't be too bad. When I heard this soundtrack for the first time after fighting against the Terminds for hours, I got humbled real quick.
I think all the combat themes in Helldivers 2 don't sound very good

I'm pretty much a bot only player at this point. I love getting into firefight with a bunch of Psycho's who randomly alternate between being "unable to hit the broad side of a barn", and "20 consecutive headshots".
Every time I introduce a friend to the game, we hot-drop on a bot base on hard or worse. It's glorious every damn time.
Helldivers 2 is now one of my top games of all time. Maybe even #1. The soundtrack is the secret sauce haha
@@Captainjul agreed, the bots are confirmed space soviets from another timeline for their soundtrack alone.
I always usually hotdrop on a Automaton base with the goal of getting rid of a fabricator upon landing, free xp
Play helldiver 1 that one has a proper ost.... this one is pathetic by comperison.@@Captainjul
AMR users are unhinged and that's why I love it
That synthesizer at 5:19 will always remain a haunting element of the automaton theme.
Being on malevolen creek for the first time, where the crisp cold blue hue was lit up by crimson red laser fire, being overwhelmed by hundreds of automatons while we fought for survival using inadequate weaponry.
With the few moments you had to breath and take in the environment, the sheer scale of the fighting you see beyond the playable space really dialed in that tone
That’s what it reminds me of.
The bot soundtrack is the main reason why I mainly play bot missions now.
Unironically agree. I play bot missions more purely because the music is so damn epic.
The little flourish at 4:25 tickles my little Clone Wars brain every time
Saaame!
This part of the combat music feels like it’s saying
“What the fuck have you DONE??!” As thousands of Bots start marching in. It makes me feel emotional man.
This is IMO the best rendition of the theme on RUclips. It has a consistent growth and pacing of the different audio cues. I especially love how it builds up to the crescendo bit by bit. Like the soviet industrialization.
Save the kids of Vernen Wells. Eradicate the Automatons!
4:20 easily my favorite part. It makes me feel fucking emotion Man. It’s the equivalent of the song saying “WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST DO????!???????” As you see countless dropships showing up on you.
Dude that shit tears me the fuck up. Am I having thought crimes???!?
Fighting bugs: pest control.
Fighting bots: SOVIET POWER SUPREME!
The moment I hear “Kirov reporting” on a bot world, I’m uninstalling the game
This is definitely the best mix on RUclips, huge props. While the loop logic is kind of broken in game so it's almost impossible to get the combat music to stop playing even during quiet moments, the bot theme is SO good I will actually listen to it in my free time!
A part of me will always remain on Draupnir, listening to this while the bots play angry birds with my ragdoll body.
The Confederacy of Independent Systems if they weren’t fucking around:
0:04 - 0:43 That wood-wind instrument perfectly establishes the ambience of dropping in on enemy territory during a night raid where the planet is windy with lightening flashes illuminating the black skies. Seeing that on an OLED monitor with HDR turned on, those lightening bolts really stand out against the dark contrast of the night sky.
The illuminate one is even creepier
I never do bot missions without the Anti-materiel rifle. That damn AMR can just about deal with anything the robots throw at you, save for Factory striders.
If you manage to hit the belly you can deal with those too!
This soundtrack makes me want to liberate my microwave
Ah yes..
Everyone's gangsta until *the trees start speaking in binary*
it sounds like machinery, dread, and pure hatred, and yet somehow makes an absolutely fire fight song
it doesn’t sound like you’re fighting hordes of enemies just trying to get their hands on you and kill you… it sounds like you’re fighting a fully-fledged army hellbent on the demise of humanity.
easily one of my favorite tracks in this game
I can almost hear the dropship engines whirring when the music rises.
Dropships, east one hundred-heavy, at my-LIBERTY SAVE ME (Firing orbital barrage, clear the area!) [terminated - killed by puffer mushrooms]
@@DrrZed This feels like a trauma dump response lol
Me frantically reloading the Autocannon as a hulk gets closer
It hits way hard when you see the flamethrower sputtering up don't it?
@@RedShocktrooperRST oh yeah definitely
Ost of bugs: Sounds disgusting
Ost of robots: GODDAMN ITS SPACE EMPIRE RUN
Genuinely surprised we havent seen a mashup of the automaton combat theme and the Cabal Stomp from Destiny
Dude this tho. It would match so perfectly.
Great job with the transition! Loved this version!🫡
I really like the Automaton music on desert planets.
This video does not feel 9 minutes long
Am I having auditory hallucinations, or is the marching chant ever so softly in the background of this?
I like how the automaton theme sounds like a Star Wars OST
It doesnt at all lol
It’s honestly super unique in the space universe of space based stuff. I don’t think I’ve heard anything like the automatons theme yet
Reminds me of undemocratic evil Empire
Plus, the Automatons had their own AT-RT (Scout Striders) & AT-AT (Factory Strider).
This gives me flashbacks to the Creek
Just a silly thought, but imagine bots and bugs clashing each other in real time as the war reach the North of map with two factions areas finally meeting, could be epic to see from afar bugs fighting bots, hunters vs chainsaw, chargers vs hulks, flyers bugs vs gunships and striders vs bile titan... having to close bug holes and deal with bot outpost on same map, forcing the team to have something for both... and if the Illuminates are comoing from the South we can have bots vs Illuminates at the West and Illuminates vs Bugs at the East and us, Helldivers, in between, for a massive free for all... how epic it would be...
We better keep moving...
Why?
I saw red lights... We are not alone
8:37 imagine you hear this in the middle of the night
Enemy tactical objective within threat range
whos ready for level 10 difficulty?
the automaton soundtrack is by far the better out of the two factions we have as of now
best track in the game tbh
Now from Levels 1-5 yes, very accurate but from levels 6-9… no… fr it’s just this 3:48-5:56 over and over again

POV: You Are in Range of Enemy Artillery
In cyberstan socioeconomic situation it was well suited for the natives a Communism-Socialist ideal due to the fact it’s a working place planet full of mines and resources for Super Earth. That’s why the Soviet like vibes. How good a society can be with those ideal in a environment where the only thing is work in mines and industrial places. That’s why the cyborgs rebellion in the first galactic war happened, it targeted capitalism ideal of super earth, that conventionally it was contra-productive within the cyborg society. After the downfall of the cyborgs, they left hidden pre programmed factories of robots in several planets of the galaxy that would continue their fight and liberate them from Super earth attack to their native way of living. My lil theory, which come on, makes a bit sense
Not to mention cyberstan was a gulag type planet where ppl who do not agree with super earths policies were sent there. Generations of them were raised in the planet with such social economic situations. (Taiwan type conflict). Creating several generations resentful to the federation, until they lost the war in the first game

Liberty weeps..
Is the soundtrack affected by what enemies are nearby, and can we get a transcript of what each section is for?
Yes.
Approximation, based on my in-game experience:
0:00 - 'Peace' - Automaton World Ambiance - no enemies nearby
0:58 - 'Alert' - Enemies nearby
1:30 - 'Skirmish' (A number of light units backed with a few mediums, low action)
5:13 - 'Firefight' (Healthy mix of numerous light and medium units, medium action)
4:21 - 'Heavy Firefight' (Droves of light and mediums, heavies, dropship reinforcements, intense action)
5:57 - Losing aggro/retreating from combat
6:46 - 'Hellfire' ("Helldiver, I can not see you under that pile of Hulks just dropped on you!", insane action)
8:10 - Transition back to 'Firefight'
8:34 - 'Light skirmish'/hostiles nearby (few light units, low action)
8:54 - Transition back to 'Alert'
Missing:
- Instrumental version of Automaton Mega-choir ("Helldiver, I can't see you under that pile of Factory Striders, Hulks and Tanks over you!", 'How are we still alive down here?!' action)
- Automaton Mega-Choir ("What in the Liberty's name is THAT?!")
@@DrrZed could you point me to where those missing tracks could be found? Id love to hear them! If you know
@@DrrZedfor the mega choir ? I could see things like : "Unit - 01" or "Cyberstan Uprise" . . . Or "They fly. Big."
Is there any way you could make an hour long version?
I take it you extracted the files from the game? How to do it?
Probably he has PC version and ripped the files out. Or, if there is volume sliders he set all of them except music to 0. (I don't own the game yet so I'm not sure about that, some games don't allow direct volume control)
@@BlueFusion2910 Everything in this video is done very well and I don’t think he recorded the music. I would like to know what format and what program he used to extract it
I didn't extract the files myself. I just knew a guy who knew a guy haha. I was just fortunate enough to get my hands on all the files! I appreciate your support. Thanks for listening!
лучше оригинала. там не хватает этого эпичного вступления

This is not actually game accurate. You're missing some tracks for sure.
I’ve been looking for one that has the best drop at 4:13
I hope mine delivered! @@AmandaHuginkiss-lm4ug
What is “game accurate” about this? How is this “your” version?
@PraetorExtremo The game builds the music as you play-it's dynamic. It's game accurate, meaning that all of the samples were placed in the correct order on the correct BPM. Which means that there are no harsh transitions or incorrect key changes throughout the song.
It's mine because, well... I put it together this way.
@@Captainjul I actually really appreciate you putting this together, the "Official" one that was released on youtube is really messy, awkward and all over the place. Here it sounds like it should be, nicely done
