    I train at Atlanta 10p gym. I'm definitely not some competitor more so just a hobbyist who loves to have a challenge from the competitors. Sean Applegate is the instructor and is one of the most detail-oriented instructors I've ever had. He truly is a master of the craft and its reflected by his competitors. Some notable mentions are Ryan Aitken who just recently defended his title in Combat Jiu Jitsu Worlds and Kevin Beurhing an extremely talented competitor who is a rising star in the competition scene. All the guys are extremely nice and wonderful to train with. I'm very happy I have the opportunity to train with these guys and learn under Sean. I know I would be very happy to achieve a bit of the skill these guys have.

      @@mentallyill718 Eddie did not create some entirely new art or sport. He didn't even really invent any new techniques. He just created a system which focuses on less traditional techniques. However, he came from a system which did focus on traditional techniques, including the basics. I can honestly say my skills tripled or quadrupled in that short time just from the drilling alone. Hate him all you want. Eddie Bravo is a genius. He’s also one of the nicest and funniest people you’ll ever meet. He went out of his way to roll with me a few times when I first showed up. He completely smashed me but was very cool about it. Tony's low fight IQ is what has been getting him tapped and beat. So what he got trapped by Charles and Nate, they are both better at BJJ than Tony lol. Charles is the supposed best BJJ guy in the UFC but he has been tapped more than Tony so your logic makes no sense. Also, I'm pretty dang sure, that Eddie hasn't been in Tony's corner since he's been getting tapped lol. You're just mad that your favorite fighter is on a skid. You can't blame Tony's weird paranoid training methods on Eddie. Eddie himself said how it was weird to try to tell him what to do sometimes especially over his other coaches.

    • @designingtheenemy5869
      @designingtheenemy5869 8 месяцев назад

      I just double checked myself and Eddie hasn't been in Tony's corner since Tony got beat by Justin in a fight in which Tony was not even submitted. So all these fights Tony is getting schooled in BJJ, Eddie was not his coach or in his corner. So what you meant to say is that your favorite fighter, is getting tapped from the lack of 10th planet BJJ. Lol.

    • @Ectomesoendo

    I feel Eddie bravos BJJ has been a big part of modern bjj in MMA. Eddie used to work in the UFC van/truck and watch the fights live to send feedback to the commentary team. I'm sure that affected his approach to BJJ. He also has great philosophy when it comes to showing BJJ that is not good for MMA because it will get you knocked out. Eddie was the first big time guy that I seen promoting slapping style ground and pound in BJJ style competitions. I get Eddie is a meme to some people but he's a legitimate BJJ master and he's taken the craft seriously for a long time now. His body is broke from it almost to the point it's hard to roll. I personally find the John danaher squad and all them to be overrated imo and weird.

    Look, of course it's not a scam! But it is a pretty unique way of looking at and training jujitsu. Either way, the proof is in the pudding. And I think the proof shows that they have produced some great jujitsu athletes. But at the same time, it's not like they do better than other jujitsu athletes. It's not even like they do better in MMA. It's just a different way to train that works good for some people and not for others.

    Of course it’s legit. No way Eddie is going to let a bum who doesn’t know their shit franchise his baby. Now of course students vary and there’s no way to control for that. Just gym culture and a bunch of other factors. Having so many different types of gyms is great. Choice and range in gym intensity and culture is a great thing.

    Trained at 10th Planet for a couple of years, I would honestly say it was dogshit coaching, no real help. Politicised everything during covid which drove many of us away. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
    Moved to a another school, tremendous coaching at a world class gym. Coach can easily break down techs, encouraging of people competing since he has the tools and experience.
    So I can't vouch for every 10th planet school, only from what I experienced. Met Eddie though, dude is funny as fuck and can't take away what he has done for no-gi.
