I didn’t know anything about Kazakhstan until I discovered Dimash on RUclips by accident. Since then I have learned a lot about his beautiful country and his people. I listen to Dimash every day and appreciate and respect his talent and his personality. 🇺🇸
He's a Kazakh singer on a Chinese show, singing a French song. He was the first singer of the first episode of that season. Also the first non-Chinese person to be on the show. Kazakhstan main languages are Kazakh and Russian. Dimash was 22 at the time of this recording, which was late 2016 early 2017. Although Dimash's range is impressive, it's the emotional delivery that connects me.

This is still one of my favorites of Dimash...the words are so meaningful, from a 1970's rock opera "Starmania". He brought this song out of obscurity for the world to enjoy Dimash's outstanding voice and delivery! Most of his songs have versions with english subtitles.

Having lived for more than half a century, I didn’t even think that I would be a fan of any artist. But Dimash made me be a real fan of his talent. Today, the whole family was waiting for this video all day and were not disappointed, well done!!!
There are videos of Dimash's performances on this program, Singer 2017. The audience was instructed beforehand to give Dimash a great welcome. He was the first foreigner and the youngest singer in the show's history. The others were 10-39 years his senior, Dimash was 22. He was also the only non-professional. None of the other singers knew anything about Dimash, not even what he looked like or his talent. They took him under their wings because he was alone in a foreign country, with no family or friends. he was called " Imported Little Brother." Dimash loves his family and country with a passion. He only spoke Kazak and Russian, and his first 4 songs were in French, Russian, English, and Mandarin. As the show progressed, some of the other singers said that it was stressful to have to sing after Dimash. He finished in 2nd place on the show, even though everyone knew he had won it hands down. The top brass said he was too young. He was invited as a dark horse and not expected to make it past the 2nd. round. So, they had to save face and 1st. place went to Sandy Lin, a 51-year-old beloved and favored singer in China. The sponsors offered Dimash a contract to remain in China for two years, and they even built a state-of-the-art studio for him to record. His first album hit platinum in 37 seconds, and triple in less than one hour. I hope you continue to take this beautiful and epic journey to music nirvana with Dimash. На этом конкурсе давались задания, на подготовку было мало времени, Димаш пел на китайском, английском (который на тот момент был не очень хорош, сейчас лучше). Это было достаточно давно. I was surprised that you guys hadn't reacted to him. I've watched a number of your reactions and for some reason I thought you'd done some of Dimash. The man is amazing. Sold out the Barclay Center in New York in three days with attendees from 60 different countries. Plays at least 8 instruments. Has sung in over 15 languages. Is fluent in Russian. Speaks decent English and some Mandarin. That performance brought down the chinese internet and the next day he had to have body guards which surprised him. He's a Kazakh singer on a Chinese show, singing a French song. He was the first singer of the first episode of that season. Also the first non-Chinese person to be on the show. Kazakhstan main languages are Kazakh and Russian. Dimash was 22 at the time of this recording, which was late 2016 early 2017. Although Dimash's range is impressive, it's the emotional delivery that connects me.

This is still one of my favorites of Dimash...the words are so meaningful, from a 1970's rock opera "Starmania". He brought this song out of obscurity for the world to enjoy Dimash's outstanding voice and delivery! Most of his songs have versions with english subtitles.

There are videos of Dimash's performances on this program, Singer 2017. The audience was instructed beforehand to give Dimash a great welcome. He was the first foreigner and the youngest singer in the show's history. The others were 10-39 years his senior, Dimash was 22. He was also the only non-professional. None of the other singers knew anything about Dimash, not even what he looked like or his talent. They took him under their wings because he was alone in a foreign country, with no family or friends. he was called " Imported Little Brother." Dimash loves his family and country with a passion. He only spoke Kazak and Russian, and his first 4 songs were in French, Russian, English, and Mandarin. As the show progressed, some of the other singers said that it was stressful to have to sing after Dimash. He finished in 2nd place on the show, even though everyone knew he had won it hands down. The top brass said he was too young. He was invited as a dark horse and not expected to make it past the 2nd. round. So, they had to save face and 1st. place went to Sandy Lin, a 51-year-old beloved and favored singer in China. The sponsors offered Dimash a contract to remain in China for two years, and they even built a state-of-the-art studio for him to record. His first album hit platinum in 37 seconds, and triple in less than one hour. I hope you continue to take this beautiful and epic journey to music nirvana with Dimash. There is no other singer that comes near him...and he is unbelievably humble.

I was surprised that you guys hadn't reacted to him. I've watched a number of your reactions and for some reason I thought you'd done some of Dimash. The man is amazing. Sold out the Barclay Center in New York in three days with attendees from 60 different countries. Plays at least 8 instruments. Has sung in over 15 languages. Is fluent in Russian. Speaks decent English and some Mandarin. That performance brought down the chinese internet and the next day he had to have body guards which surprised him.
