Hello, we are back today reacting to Dimash Kudaibergen - SOS d'un terrien en détresse. I never heard of Dimash so this will be my first introductory to him. This is from a show called Singer which was aired in 2017.

My introduction to Dimash was the same as yours with a shorter clip of this same performance @ 6 months after the performance in 2017. I instantly became a lifelong fan of Dimash. I listen to him almost daily and very much enjoy reactions here on uTube. Dimash OPENED this annual contest with this performance. He ultimately placed second because the rules at that time did not allow for a non-Chinese to win CHINESE SINGER OF THE YEAR. Dimash was not only the youngest ever contestant but also the first non-Chinese to participate. The uproar caused by his second place forced the show to change the rules the following year. After this performance the show had to provide bodyguards for Dimash due to the sensation it caused. After the 16 week elimination running of the show, an "album" collection of Dimash performances was released that went viral and sold over a million copies in under an hour and went triple platinum the first day or so. The show in china is the most viewed talent contest in the world with over a billion viewers and was a springboard for Dimash on a larger worldwide stage. He controls his own career and has his own production company and does whatever music he likes & chooses. He catalog is extensive and I hope you continue to react & promote his music. Suggestions next 2018 performance of Sinful Passion-utterly incredible and will give u hints of his lower range. Near the end he sustains a series of runs with one breath that lasts 24+ seconds. Also, recommend Stranger, Love is Like A Dream, Opera 2, Ava Maria, Adagio, The Story of One Sky...well anything by Dimash. Props to Romier Lopez who is a great ambassador for promoting the music of Dimash. He has introduced so many reactors to the music of Dimash. Thanks much. Mark

Very nice reaction. Pausing as much as you did is not only distracting, but it seems that you’re pausing in exactly the same places most other new reactors which really cuts off the flow of the song.

Dimash is a showman.
Dimash was on The World’s Best in 2019, it was a talent competition here in the U.S.A. It’s no longer on television.
There was huge controversy but I won’t go into that now.
That was my first time seeing him.
You’ll see his progression as you watch more, in order. That’s very important to his story.

Here Dimash is 21/22. He is 30 at the moment, so u will appreciate that at this point his voice has not yet matured. Dumash is higly trained , holding a Master Degree in composition and various other degrees in a variety of genres. Plays numerous instruments, sings in more than 16/17 languages speaks about 6 may be more now. When he goes to different countries to perform his concerts he is often asked to sing in the language of the country the concert is being held in. Just amazing. On top of all his incredible talent, he is THE most modest young man, genuinely knowing that he is no better than others, and that he is just very blessed with his gift. When he sings with others he modifies his voice to fit in and not over whelm others. Truly humble! He also does a lot of charity work and actually has created a charity that he oversees. Very humble kind young man. I'll n many others I should think, will come back if u continue to review his work. Cheers

He is now 30 and has over 25 years of classical training.
This is really just a drop in the bucket of his abilities.
He has completed his Doctoral studies in music also having a master's in music composition. He is massive in other parts of the world but not so much in the West.

@@kaakcaI get your point, I really do. Roimer can speak for himself, but I guess is just a way of showing Dimash's work in a chronological order. Besides, S.O.S. is a classical by itself and this performance in particular showed Dimash to the world. Don't get me wrong, this is not even my favourite performance of S.O.S. (although I love the fact that a Kazakh young man is singing in French to a Chinese audience), I would rather recommend the Slavic Bazaar's or the Digital Show's versions of it. I know it's different but when I show Dimash to others I always include S.O.S. maybe because I fell in love with him with that song and I hope that the others feel the same. I also show them a array of different songs, older and recent, in different genres and languages for them to see how great Dimash is as a singer, composer, performer and as person. In a first time with RUclipsrs you only have one shot, you never know if they'll react again, so probably I would also recommend S.O.S. That being said, I totally get the argument that Dimash has a lot more recent (and amazing) songs/performances to be seen. The most important here is that we love Dimash and we all want him to be loved by as many as he can be. The world needs his talent and personality. Love for all of you! Димашу в этом году исполнилось 30лет(24мая).Музыкой он занимается уже 25 лет .С пяти лет. Колледж,магистратуры,университет. В этом году защищает Докторскую. Изучал оперное пение,современную музыку,культуры разных народов. Занимается плаванием(для контроля дыхания),занимался тхэквандо,даже шел на красный пояс,но из-за нехватки времени пришлось выбирать между музыкой и спортом. Димаш выбрал Музыку.Сам.Родители всегда предоставляли ему право выбора. Учился петь стоя,лежа,в беге,танце,в прыжке,потому теперь, давая концерты трехчасовые -феноменальный контроль! Поет на 15 языках,мультиинструменталист(8 музыкальных инструментов).Безграничный диапазон(даже свистковые ноты),регистры.Никогда не пил спиртное,не курил,не ест острое,сладкое,холодное,горячее, то есть -диета для голосовых связок. И это далеко не все о нем. Димаш Кудайберген(это его фамилия,не псевдоним) в переводе-данный Богом. Димаш-миротворец,гуманитарий,много занимается благотворительностью,посол доброй воли ООН(недавно встречался с генсеком ООН Антониу Гутеррешем),почетный член международной организации по миграции ООН. Папа Римский Франциск вручил ему грамоту за его вклад в объединение людей(вам стоит посмотреть фильм "The Story Of One Sky" .Димаш и композитор,и исполнитель,и актер!!!). У него фан-клубы "Dears" более,чем в 150странах мира(все зарегистрированы .В Казахстане(его родина) координационный центр) и включают 2млрд человек.

P.S. S.O.S. -первый тур конкурса.Через полчаса,как прозвучала в прямом эфире это исполнение ,было 600млн просмотров. На следующий день Димаш ходил с охраной. Китай боялся за него! Это же мировая уникальность!! И они понимали,что таких надо беречь.

Really enjoyed your reaction! Remember that Dimash was very young then. He has seriously developed his technique, range, and artistry since then. A few of my favorite examples are "Sinful Passion," "Olympico, " Stranger," "Ikanaide," and "The Story of One Sky," but you can't really go wrong. Some of the songs will appeal more or less, of course, but every performance shows his talent and his commitment to the music. If you go just a little way down this rabbit hole, you will also find that Dimash is a genuinely nice guy, honestly dedicated to promoting his own Kazakh culture, cross-cultural engagement, and (for real) world peace. Oh yeah, he is passionate about fostering the growth and development of children, too. If he has significant flaws, he hides them amazingly well. If you watch others' reactions, you will be struck by how often the terms 'aLien' and 'angel' come up, and how well they fit!

People already said a lot about him. 😊 So just a warning: don't react to any Dimash's performance in The World Best in US competition. The songs are cut and edited. And in his culture they don't compete with children. He asked the organizers before signing but they tricked him. When he found that he would go to the finals competing with 2 children, he gave up the competition. When he explained that they treated him very badly. So, his fans don't watch any react to these performances.

Fue además quién inició las presentaciones con la canción SOS, y en 24 horas paso de ser un artista relativamente desconocido, a requerir guardaespaldas. Ése es un concurso para cantantes profesionales que dura unos tres meses, Dimash cantó 12 canciones y quedó en 2do lugar. Ése fué el despegue de su carrera internacional .

I'm also in America, to be more specific living in Las Vegas for 23 years and I have NEVER heard vocal skills, abilities and techniques like Dimash Qudaibergen has..besides what all you mentioned about Dimash, I find it impressive that Dimash is by nature a Kazakh singer but yet he's in China singing a song in French..to say that Dimash is the greatest singer on the planet is absolutely the TRUTH!!!! 💯 it's hard for me to recommend specific songs cause all of them are amazing but the one song that still blows my mind at the end despite the fact that I've listened to it MULTIPLE TIMES is called "Across Endless Dimensions" thank you from a Dimash "DEAR" (that's what he affectionately calls his fans) for your reaction to Dimash 😊

Please also watch one of his best version of this song from 2021 digital show...he did it during the pandemic. He goes much lower in that version...apparently he "worked" to extend his lower register during the lockdown. My introduction to him was SOS from Slavic Bazaar 2018...it took my breath away and made me a lifelong "dear" ❣❣❣
Watching newer versions may help you see his growth as an artist. He started vocal and music training at the age of 5‼ Dimash keeps training, growing, expanding and learning new techniques, skills, songs in different languages, etc even after 25 years 🥰💖💥

enter the world of dimash. born from singer parents he started singing at 5 years old then graduated from the university of singing and music. he sings in 15 different languages and plays 7 different instruments. today he is 30 years old and this year he returned to the Chinese talent show as a super guest where he performed in LOSE CONTROL. You will fall in love with him, he sings opera, pop, rock etc. if you want to understand his person and his message listen and watch THE STORY OF ONE SKY. the video version lasts over 14 minutes but it's worth it, believe me. he is also a very humble boy. I have been following him for 8 years and I listen to him at least once a day. happy listening
The best thing about this is that it's not even a stretch for him. Nowhere near the top or bottom of his range. It's important to keep in mind that, while it is a widely held belief that Dimash is the best vocalist in the world technically, what makes him the best singer in the world overall goes much deeper than his unique range. What makes Dimash the best is that he has been studying professionally since age five. What makes him the best is that he turned down a position at the Astana Opera so that he could be free to explore all genres of music. Or the fact that some of his greatest personal goals as an artist are to share his beautiful culture with the world and breaking down barriers between people with his works. You should see his fan base; I can't think of another artist with as many fans in not only so many different countries but completely different ages, genders, and walks of life! It doesn't matter what language they speak or their religious beliefs, Dimash brings them together under a banner of music.
He can do it all: the singing, the instruments, the composing, the writing, storyline, filmmaking, acting, dancing... He's a diplomat and a scholar. He's a voice for peace and uses his platform to inspire peace in others. He gives back selflessly. He is genuinely good.

You are in for a wild ride if you decide to listen to his work. To say he is a gift to our lifetime is an understatement. He sings a song "Stranger" he hits really low notes in that song. Surprisingly low. No one had heard him sing before. That was why everyone had the looks on their face. He studied music since the age of 5. Sings 13 languages plays 7-8 instruments, male model in china, taekwondo, under no contract to anyone. A very humble person. Loves his dears, fans. He is incredible. Look him up on google for more songs.
