Welcome to the world of Dimash! Dimash is the greatest vocalist known to mankind! He is proudly from Kazakhstan! He has an 8 octive range, has been known to sing in 13 different languages. He speaks 5 languages and plays 5 different instruments. He was a child prodigy that proclaimed to his parents (which are also singers) he was going to be a singer at the age of 4. He has been training since the age of 5. He has his Associates, Masters, Bachelors, and now his Doctorin in contemporary and Opera music. He is a MASTER in his craft. He has a very loyal following of his fans around the world! He calls his fans his "Dears". I feel so honored to live in the same time as Dimash. All of his performances are astounding!! Please go to his RUclips channel Dimash Qudaibergen and watch everything he has done! He also has Pop music videos in English on his Channel. It's his world...we just live in it!❤

Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a twenty-nine year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble and kind man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion" 2018, "Stranger" 2021,"Olimpico" 2019 link on Igor Krutoy's (composer that came out of retirement to work with Dimash) RUclips channel, "Adagio" from The Singer 2017, "Ikanaide" 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival, and "Ave Maria" 2021 at New Wave. After digesting those performances, I can't stress enough my recommendation for one of his most recent songs and music video (mini movie) the artistic masterpiece "The Story of One Sky" that he wrote the screenplay for and spent 3 years composing the music for, which displays a lot of his range (not all) and soooo many vocal techniques and dynamics, including sub harmonics, whistle register, bass, tenor, baritone, classical, jazz, pop, rock and unreal metal screams....and unbelievable dramatic acting. Each performance will leave you stunned. Thank you for reacting to our Dimash from a loyal "Dear" (fandom name given to us by Dimash, because we are dear to him like his family). He has fan clubs in 132 countries. BTW....this was 7 years ago, since then, his deeper register has become much lower, he can sing bass.

"This shouldn't be possible" Well it isn't. Only Dimash can do it, he goes from bass baritone to soprano whistle 7 octaves. In fact "Live" in concert he has hit a D8 whistle note which is not only higher than any Mariah Carey note but it's so high it isn't on the piano. Dimash sings in 15 different languages in just about every musical style from opera to rap. Both technically and artistically he is in a class of his own. People fly in from all over the world to see his concerts, and every time he arrives at an airport anywhere in the world "Dears" (fans) present him with flowers.

Hello friend, thank you for sharing this reaction and analysis of the best singer today. I have been a follower of Dimash since 2017, he is from Kazakhstan, each of his songs is a gem because in addition to his vocal quality that exceeds traditional standards, those songs have lyrics with excellent messages, it would be good for you to see them. • @Urgelt
      @Urgelt 7 месяцев назад +5

@@DQ_Mine 2018, I think. Dimash had been appearing in my RUclips feed for a year or more. I wasn't particularly interested - some Asian guy with a mic. How many of those are clamoring for attention? Who knows.
On an evening when I was feeling slightly curious, I clicked.
Oh, okay, he sings like a girl. I nearly clicked away...
And could not. He kept doing things I had never before heard, with otherworldly control, precision and beauty.
He's a countertenor. But not just any countertenor. I did some research, even using my way-back machine to sample castrato countertenors. This is what I discovered: the most famous and celebrated countertenors in history rarely ventured above the 5th octave. And they were trash compared to Dimash. Trash. He's the best countertenor the world has ever heard.
But that isn't all. He's an elite tenor and - unbelievably - a very competent baritone. *Very* competent. He has the same level of control and precision in those registers.
For the record, yes, he can include whistle notes in his performances.
I am a fan of this guy. We've never experienced anything like him.
Dive in. The waters are warm and friendly!
Try 'Love Is Like a Dream' and see if it doesn't paste a big smile on your face.

Question: What is the highest note for a flute. Dimash was trained in opera. Even received an offer from a major company. He turned it down. He refuses to sign with any company. He doesn't want anyone dictating what he does. For future reference:Any reaction that you choose from The Singer with Dimash, always use the Full Version. English subtitles are included and also gives a variety of information on Dimash. Looking forward to more Dimash.

      @NittPicc  7 месяцев назад +3

When teaching flute to young students, we teach them up to C7. Professionals usually learn up to D7. We can however play up to F7 for fun but only in a short burst. Usually after D7 we would use piccolo to reach even higher pitches since piccolo sounds and octave higher than flute.

    • @lindah3803
      @lindah3803 7 месяцев назад +1

@@NittPicc Thank you. I know others have mentioned Dimash hitting a D8 in Unforgettable Day Gakku. Which I knew was off the piano range. So you would have to use the piccolo for the D8. Cool. See you soon.

👉 This was a historic moment and is Dimash’s calling card. That is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears (That is what Dimash calls us fans.)
The best comment from a Dear under the first video: „If you are having a bad day, remember, someone had to sing after him.“ 🤣 That one moment when a vlogger first hear Dimash and is instantly mesmerized by it... priceless and beautiful to watch. I love it!
This song is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight in 2017 (The Singer).
The song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' (1978) and is known in the English-speaking world as Tycoon (1995). Music: Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon (French original text). The English adaptation is by Tim Rice.
That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home.
This competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day bodyguards were at his door and now he is a superstar but without airs... just our Dimash.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to RUclips ... and so we became Dimash's Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. Won).

Abraços do Brasil!

Thank you! It is so fun to see a newbie react to Dimash!:D This is from 2017, a Chinese show called 'I Am Singer'. It is a show that features seasoned Chinese singers in a competition. They invited Dimash (who is from Kazakhstan) to be on the show as a 'wild card' contestant. This was the 1st performance of the season! This made Dimash world wide famous, and he got his fan base called 'Dears'. He will be 30 yrs. old in May 2024. He has 7+ octaves and sings in 14+ languages, and multiple genres. He was asked to join the Astana opera but declined. He calls his singing style 'neoclassical'. This is just the tiny tip of the iceberg that is Dimash. He is highly trained and has been studying and performing music since he was 3 years old. He sings constantly and practices no less than 3 hrs every day. He is continuing his studies and always works with a vocal coach. Please check out more Dimash and know that every song will bring goosebumps and tears. You will be amazed and surprised over and over with each performance. Dimash IS music. Dimash is the best singer/vocalist in the world.

@@MatthewrentsBeing Dimash's follower for 7 years, I am actually grateful for these type of comments. Most often, reactors don't really get to know most about Dimash if not because of these type of comments. I know it seem a little bit too much but probably because Dimash is not a mainstream artist and he don't really have much publicity, almost everything about him were put out by fans/fan clubs, especially in the begining of 2017. Most of these things about him were gathered from every interviews of him, his family members and those who knows him and little details that the Dears gathered over the years. Over the years, I have noticed that many reactors have very little information about Dimash unless they join any of his fanclubs. For instance, with the amount of times Dimash mentions his siblings or the people who works behind him and his effort to always put their names forward, most people still have no idea. I mean, I get why some Dears gets very excited to advertise about Dimash to reactors. I am used to this because I've read all these comments from 2017. They feel the need to do it because they feel that Dimash needs to be given as much exposure as possible. You know, I sometimes dont why Dimash dont get much exposure. I know in the last few years after 2017, he didn't have a publicist and his fame was completely relied on his fans trying to introduce him to reactors. I dont know if he now has a publicist or agents to do this stuff but what I am getting is that, the Dears and his fanclubs still do much of the works. Like for instance, if I am not in his fanclub, I realised that I wouldn't know about his upcoming concerts if the fans dont post this information on social media. I think this is why Dimash always talks about his fans and the works they did for him by spreading as much information as possible. That is why his team didn't expect to have the kind of fame and exposure that he has now from the begining and his parents who manages him, acknowledged this. I suspect you already know these things so I wont go on and on lol. Sorry for the long comment.

And, he's got better. You're in for a wonderful journey with Dimash. A young man from Kazakhstan, singing in French to a Chinese audience, and he had them in tears. And, yes he has whistle tone. Try "Sinful Passion", Love is like a Dream", "Olympico".
If you like Dimash you may also like Chinese singer Hua Chenyu (among the huge list of instruments he plays, is.. Flute. He sings Rock, Rap, Reggae, Pop, SynthPop, Electronic, Broadway, Traditional Chinese... He's a Composer, Music Arranger and Mentor on many shows. Not in my Top 60 Hua Chenyu Performances is the usual introduction to Hua Chenyu.. "Nunchucks".

Your journey has just begun and welcome to the Dimash community. If you are a fan of his music you will be known as a "dear". I'm sure most of the community are recommending the usual route to follow from SOS to sinful passion, etc. But I'd urge you to follow his "singer" journey first, listening to Opera 2, then adagio etc. This way you can see his progression better when you hear his newer version of each song. Being that SOS is constantly evolving, but the 2021 digital version is my favourite. Once you get to "Olympico, Stranger, The Story Of One Sky, and Ave Maria", then you'll truly see the amazing abilities and performances of Dimash.
Enjoy the journey, and now you have a huge fan following of dears eagerly awaiting new reactions!

Completely apart from his insane, other-worldly musical talent, he is incredibly humble and quite the humanitarian to boot. He is flexible across many genres - including Rap and this blended style that is sometimes called Popera. The SoS piece itself apparently has a lot of meaning for him personally (Why do I live? Why do I die? Why do I laugh? Why do I cry?) apparently as a nod to several friends / "idols" who either committed suicide or died at an early age. Loved your reaction, and hope you experience much more Dimash!

This song is from Starmania a Canadian-French cyberpunk rock opera written in 1976 with music by Michel Berger and book and lyrics by Luc Plamondon. It debuted in 1978 with a studio recording of the songs, before premiering on stage in 1979. Several of its songs have passed into mainstream Francophone pop culture, and helped original cast members Daniel Balavoine and Diane Dufresne to rise in popularity in France; it is now considered one of the most famous rock operas in French history.

What about D8 is that whistle tone enough?! Dimash sang that note live at Gakku TV with his own composition of Unforgettable Day in 2017.
Dimash THE greatest vocalist of ALL time! This performance was 7 years ago, he’s so much better today, believe it or not! Dimash can now sing in every register (he’s now has a range over 7 octaves) from Base to Whistle tone. Beautiful voice in every register! His own compositions are fantastic. He’s also a multi-instrumentalist! He’s currently coming to the end of his Doctorate in Musicology. Having a degree in Classical vocals and another in Jazz and Contemporary. He also has a Masters in Composition where he received 100% score. You will be shocked at every performance! You won’t believe what he sings like today, absolutely incredible!

You have not even begun to scratch the surface of Dimash's ability. A good professional vocalist has a range of about 3 octaves. According to some analysts, Dimash's range is over 7 octaves (A1-D8), spanning across all four registers. As many probably know, the four registers, from lowest to highest, are vocal fry (pulse), modal voice, falsetto, and flageolet (whistle tone), and Dimash seems to effortlessly navigate between them, often within a single breath and without a break in between. Dimash has even hit a D8 for ~5 seconds with vibrato, the highest note ever performed during any live performance.
Dimash is said to have "absolute pitch," often called “perfect pitch,” the ability to identify or re-create a given musical note without the benefit of a reference tone; i.e. the ability to hit any note with perfect pitch without any reference or lead in. He sings in multiple musical genres. His primary genre is classical crossover, but he also sings classical music (bel canto), pop, and world music. He uses musical elements, vocal styles, and techniques of many other genres, including jazz, rock (e.g., screams), RnB, musical theater, even rap, and Tribal and Turkic melismas, which are technically very distinctive and very difficult to master.
Dimash plays five instruments; the piano, dombra, guitar, xylophone, and drums. He usually performs for more than two hours during his live concerts and treats his audience to an eclectic mix of styles. I hope that you will explore more of Dimash. If you truly love music, you owe it to yourself.

This song was also my first time hearing Dimash sing and perform. And his extreme form of vocal gymnastics is why first-time reactions to him never get old. In terms of singing I don’t think he has any proximity to mediocrity. It’s not in his wheelhouse.

No- not Mariah, nor Ariana - Just Dimash! 🤣 Dimash is -quite simply - The Greatest Vocalist on the planet. Yes, he was classically trained, but also in EVERY Genre (Pop, Jazz, Musical Theatres, Rap, and many forms of Traditional vocalisations and more!) He is the worldwide encyclopedia of vocal styles, and likes to creatively blend and skip across ALL. He has 7+ Octaves. Is a multi-instrumentalist and composer, and sings in over 16 languages. He is changing the way we think about the human voice.
You are right about his vocal chords. A genetic gift undoubtedly, both parents are well regarded singers in Kazakhstan ( I'm sure he learned perfect pitch in the womb!) but also the way his voice was carefully trained through puberty undoubtedly plays a part. His earlier teachers examined his throat and found his chords were abnormally long. Dimash can and does sing in whistle tone - he also does 'Dolphin'! 😂🙃And as his voice matures (he was 23 here - is now 29) he is further developing his Bass/ Baritone range as well, whilst of course retaining his Soprano. But he's not just a 'technician', he's a proud Kazakh cultural ambassador, and also a powerful and emotive story-teller, and social commentator.
    Enjoy your 'Dimashification'! 😊

Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music.
I liked and subscribed hoping for more Dimash reactions😊
Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers.
His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.
Please also react to The Singer competition as soon as you can.
Opera2 was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017 in China. The song is in Russian. A language he also speaks fluently. The original was from the famous Russian singer named Vitas.
The song is very famous and popular in China. And it's no opera song. That’s just the name of the song.
If you want to know a little more about Dimash, then I suggest you to watch the video where his father was in the audience. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. It was a big surprise for him as he saw his father.
I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 20 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional.
BTW the audience is also the jury. The people in the back are also competitors.
    Opera2: ruclips.net/video/BPXTsTr4BwE/видео.html
Please continue to react to The Singer competition and if possible the stories behind. You can find them on the Gloria Wu channel. As far as I know, on this channel there are no copyright issues and there are also English subtitles. And I always recommend switching them on. In some it is important to understand what the song is about. There are a lot of beautiful, sad and awesome songs to discover. I can also highly recommend the videos from the Gloria Wu channel because they show a little more of the scenes behind the scenes and there are also subtitles from the competitors, some of which are really funny.
    Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️
