My thing about this is Keratin treatments are attractive to me because I want to grow my hair out long avoiding too much breakage but this doesn't do any of the more permanent reparative work that a normal keratin treatment does. In the FAQ on the site it says "please keep in mind that it will not repair bonds damaged by bleaching treatments" and that it "only affects the weak and reversible bonds"
I have kinky type 4 hair and its very unlikely that I'll achieve as much of a high slip, high movement shiny look as you got using an at home product like this, especially if its not literally restructuring my hair like a Brazilian Blowout would. Without those two things this is not very exciting to me. Your hair looks amazing though, thanks for this!

I’ve done the other keratin treatment you demonstrated in your other video from Amazon and my hair NEVER reverted back to curly. Even when I washed and let my hair air dry, there wasn’t a curl in sight. I had to completely grow all my hair out. Now I’ve been itching to go back to keratin because when my hair is curly I always just leave it in a bun because it’s just to much to deal with 😫
Hi there. My hair always eventually reverts back to curly. However, it’s not been exactly the same as it was before keratin. I think ANSWR made my hair even straighter than the previous brand. I hate dealing with my curls too. They are pretty but a lot of work. Thanks for watching! 🥰

I tried the answr keratin treatment and I am in love with my results so far. I have tried so much to make my hair more manageable so I can straighten it with ease. . My hair is soft, straight and like silk. Hopefully it last for at least two months.

I finally used it a couple of days ago. It's so amazing! Thank you. This is now a part of my hair routine. I dont have to heat train. No formaldehyde. It's perfect. I used your coupon code, too. I just used it on my leave out. Once I take my sew in out, I will be doing the rest of my hair. That way, my hair is more manageable while i let it breathe for a month

Ok I just did the Peter Coppola formaldehyde free version. Wish I knew about this brand. Will try this next time. This one I didn’t have to dry before putting on my hair.
I would guess the reason for starting with dry hair is to make sure that the hair is completely saturated when you apply the product. If the hair is already wet, it would probably be hard to tell where the product is on the hair. Thanks for watching! ✨🌸

Thanks for a great video it really helped me in choosing this product...unfortunately sodium hydroxide is listed (after water) as the 6th ingredient, pretty high up on the list. There are 27 ingredients in total! I had just washed my hair about to do this but I am going to be brave and return it, forsaking all the gorgeous results! There has been a LOT of concern about lye (SODIUM HYDROXIDE) products and health related issues in black women in the news and various studies recently. Even if I use it once I am sure it will be OK but what is the point when I want a more longer term and an ACTUAL 'Answer' to the smoothness I am after. 😔 Wish you success in your healthy hair care journey!
Awe. I’m sorry to hear that you’re returning it but I understand. I may ask the owner for more information about how much sodium hydroxide is actually in the product. I will say that I have only had to do the process twice including this video. I’m at the point where I probably will only complete the process once per year. I’m willing to take the risk because my contact will be so limited unlike the every 6 weeks that I applied a relaxer. I filmed another video prior to this one using the brand Keratin Research from Amazon. While that one was included formaldehyde, Keratin Research offers others that are formaldehyde free. Perhaps that version doesn’t contain sodium hydroxide. Good luck dear! 🍀☺️

Sodium hydroxide - You are correct that sodium hydroxide can be damaging to hair when used in high concentrations and at high pH levels. However, in our formula, the concentration of this ingredient is very low (0.1% or less), carefully balanced with other components to achieve an optimal pH level. Our formula has undergone extensive testing prior to launch, confirming it does not damage hair. Additionally, it complies with both EU and US cosmetic regulations, among the strictest in the world. Rest assured, our product is safe to use. However, the sealing process involves using a hot straightening iron, which can be harsh on hair. Therefore, we recommend using a heat protectant before the sealing step.

@@berrya09 turned out pretty well. I left mines on for 50mins before rinsing but yeah my hair it doesn’t feel as damaged as I thought it would.
Definitely want to make sure your straightener temp is hot enough so it stays straight longer but all good so far.
It’s my first Keratin treatment and I’m satisfied with the results, better than the ones ive seen that has more chemicals and smell.

This keratin you used isn't a straightening keratin, right? It's a smoothing. Your previous keratin treatment straightened your hair. I just purchased this to try but don't want to lose my curls...yet. Just wanted to make sure.
It’s going to loosen your curls but they will revert back after several months. I filmed a GRWM video a month or so ago with my natural curls and you can see how much looser my curls are from the way they looked over a year ago before my first keratin treatment. I’m in the middle of my treatment and now I’m worried I didn’t know. I wasn’t supposed to condition my hair. Video nor instructions was clear on that point. Since I not to good with hair, I guess I may have wasted my money. Have to try again if this doesn’t work.
I’m not sure what will happen if you applied conditioner but just follow the remaining instructions. Hopefully it will still turn out okay. Fingers crossed. 🤞

I’m so glad you are demonstrating the formaldehyde-free formula process since I have extreme asthma and allergies, and cannot use the one containing formaldehyde. I’m planning to try this Keratin treatment process on my hair as well as my three daughters’ hair, who are mixed as well as I. Our hair has similar texture as yours and hopefully our hair will come out as beautiful as yours. You should think about starting a Keratin treatment hair installation business since you seem very confident and knowledgeable regarding this very detailed and delicate process.

No. But it is important to blow dry after you apply the keratin (before straightening). 🥰❤️

I prefer the treatment from ANSWR because it's formaldehyde free and very simple to apply. It took less time also. I've purchased it myself recently so that I'll have a supply when I'm ready to reapply. The first one by Keratin Research is still good though. Thanks for watching! 🥰

I noticed it too. It’s further down on the ingredient list so I’m okay with it. My curls do resume gradually. My hair isn’t the same texture as before but I’ve been using keratin for a couple of years now. If I stop, I feel confident that my hair will be as it was before. Thanks for watching! 🥰

It may take a while for the curls to return to normal. My hair has a loose wave now. I wouldn’t recommend this is you’re looking for a temporary solution. Instead, take her to a Dominican salon for a blow out and you’ll be all set! 🫶
Could you use a curling iron instead of a flat iron to give your hair some shape?

I'm trying this as soon as I get my package. Different brand as I live in NZ and it's easier with tax and delivery to buy one located here. My main worry is a lack of volume on my roots. Have you any tips for hair not to lay so flat?
I don’t really have any tips but it won’t look as flat the entire time. It’s more at the beginning. My hair is fine and looks flat because of that. Even when I wore a blow out before the keratin treatment, it was flat. Thanks for watching! ✨🥰

So I’ve heard that you shouldn’t wrap your hair for the first 24 hours. Is that true? How should we manage our hair for sleeping for the first 24?
I wasn’t told not to wrap it when using this product, but I was told that about my previous keratin treatment. So I don’t wrap my hair. I lay with my hair straight behind me. I was not hesitant but I had a conversation with the owner since filming this video and she said that it’s okay to use a heat protectant if you want. The directions don’t say that. So I’ll use a heat protectant in the future. The keratin treatment makes a huge difference by reducing my curls and making my hair more manageable. It’s worth it to me. Thanks for watching! 💕🌸

I just discovered your channel while searching keratin treatments. Two questions…sodium hydroxide is listed as an ingredient, should I be concerned and do you still use the treatment?

Our formula has undergone extensive testing prior to launch, confirming it does not damage hair. Additionally, it complies with both EU and US cosmetic regulations, among the strictest in the world. Rest assured, our product is safe to use. However, the sealing process involves using a hot straightening iron, which can be harsh on hair. I use my normal shampoos and conditioners as well as hair masks, etc. As long as the products are sulfate free, you should be good to go. ✨👍

Did it affect the results of the keratin treatment when you applied oil straight after? I've read that I shouldn't use oil or any products for 3 days after treatment x

I can’t say that this will make your hair stronger if it’s damaged. Maybe try something like Olaplex to help damaged hair. Do you know if this is safe for kids ages 7 & up? I know of a young girl who has very thick course hair. Anything I have suggested is turned down by her mother. The girl cries when her is comb because it hurts so bad. Do you think this product is safe for her to use? 😊
