I have a friend who has your texture of hair (almost looks like you!) and both her parents are white - they found out that their is a great-grandparent who was passing as white for years and the family didn't even know. Thank you for the video, I'm looking for ways to straighten my hair without a relaxer. Your curls beautiful and healthy! I love it!
if you do ancestry you will find out someone in your parents' family is/was black or at least mixed with black and its showing through your hair.
Thank you for your review. I just bought this treatment so I wasn’t sure how to use it. Very helpful!
I'm happy I could help 😊
Thank you for sharing your experience. Also pretty tired of trying to tame my hair so looking for a safe tratament, hopefully it works on mine 😊
wow!! im shocked it stayed so straight after washing it! Great video!
Modal is a form of polyester. They don't want you to use any clips or hair ties because it will cause a bend in the hair.
The oils from our scalp are necessary. Give it a brush with a little oil, that should help with shine.
Have you ever considered doing an ancestry dna test to find out what your exact makeup is? Love your hair ❤
Why would you ask that? 😂
I have yes, maybe one day 😅
I think she should. Us black people know some melanin when we see it. There's definitely some mixture in there. Your parents got some explaining to do lol
There’s a term and it’s called “throwback”. There’s a movie called “Skin” that came out in 2008 that explains. Or look up Sandra Laing. The movie is based on her life.
I rarely see videos with hair exactly like mine. I'm so curious to know if your curls reverted back over time. Thanks for posting. To help with the dandruff, I suggest moisturizing/oiling your scalp.
Same, we are unicorns lol. I'll be doing an update soon, but they have slowly been coming back. I would say a little before the two month mark my hair started drying wavy. As of now at three months my natural hair isn't completely back, but it does dry with some curls. And thank you for the tip 🙂. I have been using apple cider vinegar shampoo and it has helped a lot, but not completely, so I'll give oiling a try.
@@yourpiscesfriend Hey thanks for this video. I am not seeing too many videos for this product, Mayracki, so this was great to watch. Would you say this product is good with controlling frizz? I look forward to your update. 😉
Yes, it helps a lot with frizz 🙂
I’m so glad you posted this. I just got this and I’m curious if your curls came back. With your hair, washing with shampoo 5 days a week is a bit much, I rinse everyday and reapply conditioner. but I only wash once or twice a week. I think wearing protective wear more often can help with the germy feeling.
Yes I've been sleeping with a bonnet on every night and it has helped to not think about the germs 🙂. And I didn't realize how excessive my hair washing was until I started doing it only once week. I can't believe I kept at it for so long
Just a heads up if you just put it on your hair and not flat iron it’ll give you manageable curls.
Yeah I chose to do the instructions for the longer treatment that results in pin straight hair. But in the future I may try the results for manageable curls 🙂
This is how I want to use, without flat ironing to just elongate my curls
@honeyandmilk do we still blow dry or just put it on and air dry?
@Honeyand milk...So no flat ironing or blow drying...just put the product on for a while and then ruse? Thanks.
Meant rinse.
I want to try it thank you very much my flower
That product comes with its own shampoo. Two bottles of pre-treatment cleansers ans two bottles of after treatment shampoos
Wow we literally have the same texture and I just bought this kit. I only want my hair to loosen a little bit…I’m thinking to try this without the flat iron part. If I do the flat iron though, I’d maybe do after 60 mins. I’m attached to my curls while at the same time I need a break! I’m kind of scared to do the treatment though. Has your natural hair been coming back in healthy?
Yes they slowly come back. I haven't noticed any damage or unusual patterns
How'd your hair turn out? I bought the kit, but I don't want to lose my curls
thanks for making this video 🙏🏽 not a lot of reviews on this brand. Did it sting your eyes at all/irritate your throat while you were doing it? And how is your hair now?!
No. i dod it today. Not my first time. i have not had that experience whatsoever. i pray this blesses you.
I also tried this and didn't sting my eyes or irritate my throat! I tried Kerazon from amazon since it had a lot of good reviews but it burned my eyes and throat so bad I couldn't finish the hair treatment.
Hello fellow Pisces
I had beautiful curls and after using this its like I relaxed my hair. My hair was natural and hadnt been relaxed in over 10 years. I'm devistated. Yea those curls i have in the picture...gone.
I'm so so sorry for your experience and I hope one day your curls come back 😞. I've personally always wanted straight hair and I find myself wishing that this stuff was permanent. For awhile I did embrace my curls, but for me straight hair is so much easier to style and maintain and I'm in love with it. Hopefully with time your curls find your way back to you ✨️ 🤗
@taythegypsy Did you use the flat iron on your hair just sit under a hooded dryer?
This is why mine is still in the box. Some stylist recommend mixing it with conditioner and letting it set like a deep conditioner. I have done that before and I did like it. It just elongated my curls and reduces the frizz in my dry areas.
If you leave it on for less time is it like a texturizer?
Yes there are instructions on the package for if you just want more manageable curls and not pin straight hair
I just did the treatment and my hair feels sticky and stiff. Is this how it feels at first? :/
Yes, that’s completely normal for keratin treatments :)
Also, the hair needs to be ironed during this 48 hours before shampoo
You should buy an Argon oil or something like that to put on your hair at night. Then wrap your hair up.
You should try one without femaldehyde. Next time try ANSWR! It would be more gentle than what your using.
This is vegan and doesn’t have formaldehyde
Firstly, you and your hair is absolutely beautiful. That's why I clicked on this video because I am interested in using a keratin treatment for my child who looks quite similar to you. Secondly, I mean this with the utmost respect. I know that you stated both of your parents are White, but you really need to obtain a DNA test as soon as possible. It's not just your hair that gives the impression that you may be part African American, sweetheart, but you have the phenotype, feature wise, as well, and your complexion also points to this strong possibility. All three of those factors combined point to you definitely not being 100% White. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that. I know as children we trust our parents, or may be in denial, and it's even possible that you do have a grandparent, or great grandparent that was Black, but it's also possible that something else may be going on, but either way, I strongly suggest you get a DNA test.
Wrap your hair around your head and put a scarf on.
My thoughts exactly. She needs to learn how to wrap her hair.
Another option though is to use a pair of stockings with the feet cut out. Her hair is long enough to pull half through each leg, then just tie the legs around her head to get the wrap effect more easily for a wrapping newbie.
Does it have a chemical smell when you blow dry it and flat iron?
