This is about the sixth demo I’ve watched of this pedal tonight just because I just ordered one after being without it for a few years.. and your demo is definitely the best. I get lost in its sounds every time and can’t wait to have one again 🙏🏼
Great video, but could you do some additional videos on composition? Absolutely love the last segment in the video. Would really like to see more videos/tutorials on your actual playing style.

Love the channel. I've had so many delays, strymons, ehx, walrus, chase bliss, all great. For a great multi head atmospheric thing the catalinbread is amazing. Just have to come to terms with the built in gain stage. I prefer the straight ahead sounds from it against my volante but I do like the sound on sound but I'm not a midi guy so...
This demo convinced me to add the echorec back on my buy list to join the Boss DD20 for dual delay onslaught love your playing too. Definitely a GAS channel 😂
Have bought way too many pedals recently but when I heard the openings bars of your first riff I dug in deep and slapped an order in for an Echorec which I pick up tomorrow. Many thanks in anticipation! Am old enough to have seen Gilmour use the Binson with Floyd so really looking forward to seeing what I can get out of it. Cheers!
I've owned both and I greatly prefer the EchoRec. But I guess it all comes down to if you need a delay pedal that can produce a lot of different delay tones, or a pedal that delivers a specific delay sound flawlessly :)
I've been checking out delay pedals for a year. Catalinbread is head and shoulders above the others. I love, love, love my Belle Epoch and the Echorec is going on my board too.
I’ve been wanting to pick this up for a while now, but ever since Catalinbread came out with the Belle Epoch Deluxe I have this suspicion that they’ll make a deluxe version of the Echorec at some point.
bro your reviews are always dynamic! this or the strymon el cap? I know they are a bit different but was wondering on your take? I play acoustic mainly and prefer a pedal that is not so noisy. looking for an echo delay for occasional dark deep swells of echosthanks
No, it doesn't have an effects loop. I always run every pedal I demo on this channel, straight into the front of the amp. So yes, the Catalinbread EchoRec simply sounds this good in front of the amp 😊

It's true though. The echorec is really an ambient delay type in my humble opinion, and you showcased that beautifully.

Pardon the ignorance. But does your DRRI has an effects loop ? Does it sound that good in front of the Amp ?
No, it doesn't have an effects loop. I always run every pedal I demo on this channel, straight into the front of the amp. So yes, the Catalinbread EchoRec simply sounds this good in front of the amp 😊

Echorec is Catalinbread's take on the Binson Echorec multi-head drum delay, and the Belle Epoch is their take on the Maestro Echoplex EP-3 tape delay.
