I love how useful the sounds are throughout the entire decay range-the Cloudburst could easily replace multiple reverbs. And that synth string ensemble is more beautiful than that of any other 1/4"-based guitar synth I've heard. Absolute home run with this one.
I still love my BigSky and Cloud algorithm was the main feature why I've bought it few years ago. But the smaller format, ease of use, less current draw and ensemble feature.... damn that's impressive. Exactly what I need on my smaller pedalboard that I plan to build. Great times.
The ensemble effect sounds amazing. I always chased after a sound like this by running an EHX mel-9 string/orchestra setting before my reverb, but this sounds so much more majestic and clear.
The Ensemble mode is what I always hoped strymon would start going into. So fingers crossed for the big box orchestral machine with flutes, orchestra ensembles, brass, organ styles, etc. I would fall on my knees and uninstall all vst bc thats all I ever need haha.
I just saw the Cloudburst featuring Danish Pete on the Andertons Music Co Channel in a Jeff Beck inspired demo. It is an absolutely epic, beautiful, sounding device. Danish Pete used it with several other pedals, and it is one the very best demos and results I've ever heard. You should consider sending him royalty checks, it is such an awesome demo. Congrats on making such a excellent pedal.
I'll probably gonna buy it this year. Soo many impressive sounds and I don't have any Reverb pedal yet so why not invest in this infinite creative pit!
Marketing masterclass! The people said we want a cloud pedal and pedals in a more appropriate price range. But this cloud pedal is better and more unique than the bigsky cloud. Look it is stereo and fits on your pedal board. But I bought the bigsky and the bigsky plugin. Not one pedal is the same and you want them all. Marketing genius and extremely well thought out. What comes next? Always a surprise! Mini ElCapIce
My jaw dropped when I saw my subscriptions list. Some wonderful tones and riffs on this video, especially the contributions from the chap who appears first. You're all good though!
Welcome to Reverb Pedal Anonymous. Looks like it's white chips for the lot of you. This is likely the first of some small box designs from Strymon. A small box revolution? An oil can delay would be an outstanding addition to such a line-up!
Mine's on the way and I'm excited to explore the sonic capabilities! I usually don't use effects with my acoustic, but this pedal's inspired me to see what I can do.
You've done it again, I will be reviewing this and I'm excited to keep it when I'm done. The big sky moved off my board due to its size but I have always missed the tone. This seems like an update that should be done every 4 years or so. Its been too long!
When the Cloud Bursts, Thunder in your Ear, You Shout but No One Seems To Hear… Love Love Love this pedal! I’ll take one, please. And throw in the Volante while you’re at it. 🎶🎶🌈🌅🎶🎶🌻🦋
I love you guys Just bought this yesterday. Been thinking about a cloud only pedal for so long and then you guys go and put the ensemble thing in just completely level the playing field. This is knocking off of one of my other very high end reverb‘s (rhymes with universal awdio Holden heverberator for a little while.). Or may use both who knows
Hey… this is something I have always wanted, to be able to do pads with guitar! What I would love is to hear it with acoustic guitar. There are lots of great vids out there, but none with acoustic. Thanks!
"In the Forest." Mic drop. But not the guitar, because it's a lot more valuable! ;-) Just stunning uses of a pedal I now must have, especially at the lower price point.
Hey there Mike - we didn't have time before launch this time, but we'll do some eventually - it sounds pretty lovely on anything we've put through it though, including keyboards.
Hey there - the intro is from the last example (it's just Cloudburst set to 100% wet) - you can see the settings on the pedal and watch Nick play the example at 10:37 in the video. Hope that helps.
A beautiful presentation of an utterly amazing pedal! Honestly, did we really need the ""SUBTLE" placement of EXCLUSIVELY Strymon products (screen left as if you hadn`t noticed?) Please just let the equipment and playing do the talking.
i bought the Cloudburst and I tried to set the pedal as in this video but the direct sound of my guitar is more lower than the one in the video (of both guitar players). Why so?
Ah, would love to replicate some of these new Cloudburst ensemble voicings on my BigSky /Timeline set, or get a firmware upgrade? Meanwhile, Cloudburst may be a new hit on the wallet! 😊
Beautiful Brutality!!!...I just ordered mine !!!!....I can't wait to push the volume and scare the neighbors - into thinking the invasion won't be televised(?) , but will have a killer soundtrack !!!!!!!...
When the pedal is supposed to become the instrument and not just assisting the player with his instrument in his play, it is going over that what a pedal should be for me. I have too many pedals and also a lot of the ones from Strymon. Frustrating is the short honey moon when they arrive and now are collecting dust on the shelf. There are exemptions to this rule - like always. But it is a rabbit hole that leads to only a little for the significant amount of money involved.
sounds really thicc! just comparing these reverb tones to my Big Sky, and although the big sky is amazing, it sounds a bit thinner to this one! better processing power I guess?
Learn more about Cloudburst and order yours direct from Strymon ► bit.ly/3Hmzhbt
So this pedal offers more than 3db cut in %100 wet mode...wish my Big Sky could :/
still waiting to pull the trigger on a midnight edition 🖤
I concur😊

You're welcome
My wallet hates you strymon, but i love you
Lol 😆
I agree with you!! Have you ever tried Strymon guitar effects on Bass guitar? Best wishes from Norway.
I hope your accompanion doesn't hate Strymon as well 😂
Same!
Ain’t that the truth but I love the sound in the feeling you get when you play
Pedal of the Decade..... Well done Pete and his team!
I've never ever seen a pedal demo that at some points almost made a tear well up? Beautiful inspiring sounds.
Glad it could inspire you :)

You're right about less current the Big Sky black holes all your other pedals it's so powerful
The ensemble effect sounds amazing. I always chased after a sound like this by running an EHX mel-9 string/orchestra setting before my reverb, but this sounds so much more majestic and clear.
Perfeito para ideias de atmosfera sem precisar do teclado.
I love the synth quality in «forte» mode! That's beautiful and edgy :)
The Ensemble mode is what I always hoped strymon would start going into.
So fingers crossed for the big box orchestral machine with flutes, orchestra ensembles, brass, organ styles, etc. I would fall on my knees and uninstall all vst bc thats all I ever need haha.
So nice when the actual playing/writing is as impressive as the actual (phenominal) pedal. Few gear demos do it as well as this one.

Nick's playing is really fantastic on this. Sounds great.
Thanks!
Awesome pedal! Especially the last example totally blew my mind. That was like a whole symphony orchestra in a cathedral. 😲💖
I'll probably gonna buy it this year. Soo many impressive sounds and I don't have any Reverb pedal yet so why not invest in this infinite creative pit!
I just purchased this! It is a work of art!
Guys. I don’t want to need another reverb. But I think I need this reverb.
Ordered mine today and you shipped it within the hour! You're amazing!
Enjoy your new Cloudburst :)
@@strymon I am truly enjoying it!
Do you still like and use this pedal?
@@zenn3339 I love the pedal so much I have one on my pedalboard for electric guitars, and another is on my acoustic guitar pedalboard.
The last clip is pure Eno. Love it.

Wow, the In The Forest sound 🙌🏻
This sounds really great! So It’s like the cloud algorithm from the big sky but updated and in a small format? It sounds absolutely gorgeous.

STEREO oil can, please and thankyouverymuch!
@@randyinmpls5413 Dude, I got that Adineko pedal. I love it. But I'd bet a Strymon oil can would have the midi features I need.
@3:30 😍😍😍 such a familiar melody it really evokes something in me
Mine's on the way and I'm excited to explore the sonic capabilities! I usually don't use effects with my acoustic, but this pedal's inspired me to see what I can do.
This pedal sounds great but it also excites me to see what else you fine folks are going to release!!!!
A beautiful pedal, with somewhat haunting sounds. So impressive. I'd like one for sure.
Amazing pedal ! It helps really much for singing especially when you play alone with your guitar.
Thank you for the video very helpful 🙏
That light on the ceiling looks awesome. Looks like northern lights. What is that? goes well with the sounds

I just bought this without even knowing what it sounds like. Definitely more excited after watching this 😆
I just watched this and ordered one instantly, can't wait to make beautiful music with it.❤
Enjoy your new Cloudburst!
Incredible piece of kit, I have literally no idea how it works but hot damn it sounds amazing!

Well, I'm just gonna let this play as the background music of my day... 😍
Strymon can you do a video showing how to set up midi with this pedal?
Man I LOVE that sweater!! (Music is great too)
Nick can't believe that someone actually mentioned the sweater. That's awesome! Thanks a bunch!
What a lovely pedal!! I must have it.
Lovely, seemingly heartfelt, playing :)
This has gotta be selling out pre-orders everywhere. I know I'm getting one ASAP
Still available through direct store at strymon.net :)

O pedal Favorito do The Edge! kkk ( 5:28 )
When they come out with pedals, they make my Mobius-Timeline-BigSky combo nervous.
Destroyer from mobius next! 🙏
Wow. Bravo, yall. That's stunning.
Great demo! Thank you!!!
Dang there're a lot of songs in that thing!
I loved the tone, I wish I could watch more, but I fell into sleep halfway through the video.

We didn't have time do record any acoustic demos this time around, but definitely something we'd love to do! :)
We’d love to do one for you
With acoustic guitar
Resonator guitar
Oud
Bass
Bass veena
Very useful vid. great pedal, quite inspiring. Thanks Strymon guys!

@@strymon You got my money.
What guitar are you using at 3:05?
Sean said "that is a custom Telecaster that Lynn Wheelright built for me back in '95." Hope that helps!
@10:38 The Birthday Massacre OMG sounds so much like them!!!!
Great ambient riffs.
3:03 reminds me of Metallica - Sanitarium
What is that 2 humbucker guitar he's playing? I love the sounds!
I need this! ❤
"The World Eats Jimmy"? "American Foosball"? I see what you did there, and for that I salute you.
:)
This is great and all, but when is the plugin version coming out??
I’d love to know where he got it! Would pay good money for one!
Mine is on the way.
Gorgeous sounding and great playing too. How does this compare to a plugin like Valhalla (apart from the obvious: pedal vs software)?
What exactly are the settings used in the first 30 seconds of the video? Is it using a guitar or a synth?

Nevermind, figuered it out.
He's the younger, prettier and hipper one.
what is that guitar Nick is playing?
It's a Dunable DE Cyclops :)

ALL GOOD THINGS
I am down to this or Revelation V2. Cloudburst may sound a little better, but the presets on the revelation are a big advantage. For me anyways.
Not bigsky?
If you're using MIDI, Cloudburst has up to 300 preset locations available :)
@@strymon That's cool, unfortunately I don't have MIDI set up on my board. Don't think it'll fit... any chance at an updated bigsky?
My Ventris is laughing in echoed halls of dual enginness.
Be great for "Jeff Becks Where Were You"
With all the money I'm going to save now that I can fire my keyboard player, I can almost afford one of these!
