Love it man. Never actually thought of using wheat as a cover/green manure like this. I'm gonna try peas and oats mix this year. Might have to give it a shot though with the winter wheat some time. Not a lot more fun than plowing than ground with an old classic tractor (preferably IH or Oliver ;) Them plows are sure shining nicely too!
Not sure what you mean by “ bust the 1st furrow’. When you disc the field and adjust it correctly you knock down the high furrow. I will show that in the next video.
It’s amazing that people can be so rude to how someone is plowing you can surely tell that some people weren’t raised on a farm and they were raised in the cities
What a piece of poor ploughing. I was gobsmaked when he backed the second run up over the first. He left a couple of feet unploughed. When you make the second run you should split open the first and THEN back it up. This video is just NOT what to do. A bad example to any youngster learning to plough.
I have a 1963 Farmall 140 Daddy bought used in 1976. We both turned 60 this year!
Great video! Very informative.. step by step. Especially how you use both lift and draft controls.
Thanks, for the info. Just what I needed
Happy farming.
Great job! looks good : )

Wheat works great and won't run away with you like rye. I use it every year on my garden.
Thank you John
When you don’t bust the same ferrul you made first it leaves a ridge in the middle of the field you gotta deal with to get back level
Furrow

I just watched a video of bursting the first furrow. I will try that this year 2023 and comment on it when I do the discing video.
Is load co trol the same as draft control? My mf 35 has a draft control
Hello, great video. Did you make a video of you doing disc work ? I would really like to see the next stage of work.
Yes, soon
It’s amazing that people can be so rude to how someone is plowing you can surely tell that some people weren’t raised on a farm and they were raised in the cities
I thought that was an IH not a John Deere. It sounds as though the engine needs a good tuneup.
The tractor has sounded like that for years. Finally found the problem now it runs nice and smooth.
i would have split the ridge when i started
Best video about plowing on here
What model is your plow? I have a similar one like it, but it has slatted moldboards.
split boads are mainly used on heavy land
The plow came with the IH tractor when we bought it new in 1963. It is an Internal Harvester plow, I couldn't find a model #.
Cool
Did you do the disc video?
Not yet , will do this spring.
Real nice job
That motor is missing bad!
I had a plugged inline fuel filter. Now it is running like new.
nice job!!!!!!!

Being such a critical prick is a bad example for any youngster learning to plow
