LG has confirmed by a New product trailer that the LG 32GS9UE 4K 240hz FHD 480hz Dual Mode Gaming Monitor will include MLA+ OLED Technology. Micro Lens Array + is improved by 37.5% over standard MLA according to LG.

Damn I did not expect to witness nostalgia with this video. That battlefield 3 mission screams a lot of memories. I remember that there was an trophy to do whole that mission without missing your missiles, without getting hit, without firing blanc. That was nerve wracking. Especially because of it was 2 parts and you needed to see every cut scene again and again till you did it right. Epic memory. An remaster of bf3 and 4 would be awesome.
To judge a monitor before seeing it just based on the coating is beyond stupid. All that matters is the performance and quality. I look forward to seeing this bad boy up and personal. Another great video Vik!

I think the only time I would consider using that pixel sound is if I could use it in combination with my stereo speakers and have it configured as a center channel output for a 3.1 setup effect.
That would be great if possible.
Maybe matte coating better in long term because less glare better for the eyes.
Imagine using monitor speakers. Just get good headphones/seperate speakers and dac/amp. Also I’m a bit fed up with the LG matte coating but it does do it’s job with reflections. I just wish that it didn’t have the grainy look with colors.

the only thing i'm interested in is comparing qd-oled and woled colors at high brightness and see if they still seems a bit washed out on the woled panel, matte or glossy doesn't bother me that much but if the coating is as grainy/oily as the previous one it can be bothersome for a lot of people and i can see why
I will test next week for sure. But so far I dont see any wash in sdr modes on w oled. I only just started seeing them side by side. The msi needed an update.

Im sure eventually just like amazon. But it seems these will be in short supply as even LG has short stock. New shipments will arrive in july once the preorders are sold out.

No. Only the 32GS95UE according to LG. But the 27, 39" and 45" do improve up to 30% brightness vs last yrs models. They still use standard MLA just Panel improved a small bit. MLA+ uses new algorithms and some other features. That 37.5% is really bright in real use.
I have the 27GS and the matte screen is not noticeable in game.
True... when gaming.. no hazy or matte etc issues arw noticable. GS looks great.

It's great monitor right? I edit and game in the daytime usually so try these. 100 brightness, 70 contrast, black stabilizer 55. Gamma mide 2. Gamer1 or srgb mode (I love srgb mode). Other modes provide added I just prefer these. Local dimming on highest. (But low works well too). Since it has low amount of zones the transitions may appear more then usual. On ps5 menu try hdmi low or high for added contrast if it looks washed.

Could you tell me what I am doing wrong? When I game mode set as Gamer 1 or 2, I have black stabilizer contrast sharpness etc are disabled. How can i adjust those? I am playing on PS5 btw

I can stand matte screens at all, god knows I tried bit cant do it, I tried few QD-Oled monitors but the raised blacks drove me crazy, specially standing next to my 48" C1, I think my only upgrade path will be getting the 42/48" C4 with that new sweet 144hz WOLED panel.
Why the Matte vs Glossy discussion only appears on OLED panels an not on LED?
True... before with regular non oled monitors nor even mini led. Picture is a picture. Regardless. Glossy should have been encouraged since the start. I have never heard of this discussion before and leads me to believe it's a small amount of ppl making noise. Even when a comment comes in of "matte trash" it's one two word comments. Probably bots. Tvs are different. Monitor ppl need matte and the majority believe so. I'm neutral to this topic tho but it's no way bad as others are making it out to believe. It's certain ppl as I too have even been contacted ( by certain ppl) to push the glossy narrative.. I said No.

I don't think so. I will be able to show that soon. Don't be fooled. For example look at my aw3225qf vs Neo g8. Simple as that. The LGs are evn less matte then that Neo G8.
Idk you know this but lg new 2024 oled monitors doesn’t have pixel cleaning with the exception of the 27gs95qe and the 48 inch variant. Have a look for yourself in the menu of both and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Yea.. I have tons of videos on that to pic. Thats the only way LG said to have made the GR version. Micro lenses to push more brightness. Tho this 32" is the only to have MLA+, new pixel arrangement and pixel sound.

Best? The Alienware has less issues currently. Msi needs a critical update that fixes alot of things.
Sadly LG ditched the optical passtrough :( . A HDMI 2.1 audio extractor like ezco can do wonders with PS5 connectivity
Idk if youll notice this but look for yourself, LG’s new Oled monitors don’t have pixel cleaning in the menu where as the 27gs95qe and the 48 inch version do. Idk why LG did this because now I wonder how is it going to compensate pixel life span over the long haul of the monitor….?
Maybe a new update will fix? Also usually these features are on the controller. On screen menu. Weird but Ill double check.

Some customers already received their units and actually used it (not just staring at it in the box), apparently the matte coating is so bad that some are returning them.

I will wait for late this year before I get anything. There are some really high end mini LEDs coming out before 2025 that I want to see first. Plus these will be on sale at Best Buy this coming Black Friday. I LOVE my LG 32GQ950. The picture is really really good. (calibrated) I will be honest, the 32GQ950 is So good, I am not sure I want to worry about burn in. I leave my monitor on static stuff a LOT. get distracted by my cat, 20 min later I look back at my monitor etc. I don't have to worry about that. No burn in stress on IPS
Yea the 32GQ950 is really good. I love it also.. I will have these 2 side by side as my daily drivers.

I am probably going to get a glossy monitor next, but the cult following about the coating is ridiculous. Matte looks bad when the screen is off, but it looks great when it is on. Glossy OLEDs are going to struggle in normal light situations. The downside of matte coatings are primarily when the monitor is off and maybe if you did a side by side in a very dark room where the screen was blasting full white and you saw them side by side.
That said, still probably getting a glossy, always wanted one... they look pretty in perfect conditions.
Im sure all these will have both options in the near future. And true in that in perfect conditions Glossy wins everytime. I hope you find that perfect monitor when the time comes.. :)

I may try the 39" or 45" not sure. I need more feedback from people if I should. I feel my 34" needs more screen space..
I wish there was a 240htz+ ultrawide QD OLED coming out this gen, that is probably what I would want most. Or something ultrawide with higher pixel density in an OLED form.

I agree. I had hoped that a 1440p option even at 360hz would have been more usable. But 480hz Im sure is for competative players. 3 modes instead of 2 would have been even cooler.
@@ViktorsReality Yeah, it's just 1080p on 32" which is a very low pixel density. You don't want to go past 25" for 1080p.
Finally we are getting 32 oled monitors and every company has to ruin them with matte finish come on

The problem with glossy is they struggle in most real world set ups that are not a perfectly dark room. Some people want to use a monitor during the day without eliminating all light.

Never heard of anyone that cares about speakers on a pc monitor, everyone I've known use good headsets or professional speakers. I just want the best visual quality, but I wonder how many fall into the category of needing all the extra stuff. I'm likely passing on this one for the AW3225QF or the gigabyte version.
Funny thing is alot of ppl dont like that the Alienware does not have speakers nor 3.5mm audio or hp port. I prefer great spreakers over 2w speakers. But this will drop in price as LG always gives good prices on holidays
I actually have a window behind me when I'm working so as much as amazing a glossy display would be for me, going for a matte display would be the way to go.

2024 but very less Brand equipt DP 2.1 for their gaming 4K monitor although rtx 50 series will coming in the end of 2024. TThey want to remake DP 2.1 version in 2025 and consumer will pay a new one if they want to have DP 2.1

Just look at a close up shot of the pixels on a matte screen then look at a glossy panel. The matte coating just smears the colors
At 2-3ft+ no one can tell. Sure there is a difference but if we have to resort to putting our faces on screen? 😆 Matte does not mess with the picture even dough has said they need to tune the spectrum black differently for glossy. (Doughs words) no one complained with matte on Mini led but only with oled? Doesn't make sense. Im for all options... one day we will have both options on all types
Dude I' m sorry but matte doesn't compare to glossy,and i mean true glossy like TVs not the semi glossy finish that is included on the new QD OLED monitors. It's just way better. I have seen them side by side and theres just no comparison. For me it's a deal breaker and it is a shame that Asus and LG will use the matte coating on their monitors for that has made me only consider a not reputable company like dough if they sell their 4k on US retailers like they confirmed to me on reddit. I would love to buy the Asus instead but if the coating just interferes on making the monitor look good which is the sole purpose of OLED,then what's the point of wasting so much money on them. They should have both options for the end user to decide

@@piranhax6466 At a dark room glossy is just superior, no graininess from matte coating. That's why studios I worked with uses glossy monitors for lighting/compositing in a dark room. It's a common practice for many years but only recently more consumers are exposed to it.
