I think the lawyer is attempting to prove that drug users have another reality perception .
The lawyer is trying to make him look like a bad person. Even the best people have inner demons and deal with them in ways they wouldn't have otherwise considered, during their moments of weakness. It's all part of being human and growing from our mistakes.
Umm Johnny called himself a monster when he does drugs ambers team is implying that it is likely that he hit her too. Ambers legal team is trying to prove reasonable doubt
Amber has always been taking pills as in ecstasies and etc. they’re not that different in taking them. The only difference is Johnny been doing drugs to forget and tolerate life obstacles he’s been thrown at but Amber does it to have fun!
So what I've learned from this trial so far is: Johnny does drugs, drinks alcohol and had an awful childhood, while Amber is extremely abusive - both mentally and physically.
Also living with someone and having that person take pics whenever you've had a fall/dark times - which we all have sometimes - is a huge red flag. The only reason they'd ever need these photos is to shame you, guilt you into doing what they want or expose you for some sort of gain. Ew

You nailed it! Her taking pictures of things related to Johnny's drug use and trying to use them against him doesn't make Johnny look bad it makes her look bad in my opinion. It exposes how manipulative she is and how she was looking for anything she could to make him to look bad. I sincerely hope at the end of all this that Johnny clears his name and exposes her for what she is.
Being an addict my self, I couldn’t stand the way her lawyer was trying to portray him as a bad person just for being an addict. It’s hard enough being an addict without people’s perceptions of us all being bad people.

I really feel Johnny's pain and this Trial has helped me a lot to understand many things I'm going through, I've also been through drugs at an early age, alcoholic father, and much more... As of today, I'm raising my 4 year old daughter by myself, her mom is way too similar to Amber, same behavior, same mindset, same everything... My family and I, pressed charges 5 times in 4 years, and still waiting for a Trial. Johnny, my highest respect to you, I hope that after you win this trial you can find yourself again and heal all the pain that she did to you.

I just want to hug Johnny Depp. He is a bloody talented actor and creative artist with his art and music. Despite a very tough childhood he has made a huge success of his life. He is enough. I wish he could find peace so he doesn't need to do drugs anymore. He has so much to give. I respect and admire him so very very much. I wish him every happiness and that he can rise above this. I have been in a similar situation and I have never been the same since.

While this probably seemed invasive and daunting to Depp in the beginning, talking, reliving, revealing his deepest darkest most painful moments. I feel like it was probably very therapeutic and a huge weight lifted off him. Every addict wants to be this open about their troubles but at the same time no addict wants to pour out their emotions on to anyone specifically. He's forced to tell his story, where he would usually feel like a burden sharing these details on his own he gets to share his story wide, everyone now understands his struggle, he avoids the guilt of unloading his hardships on a given individual. He doesn't want to deal with it let alone make it someone else's concern. While this whole thing has been a headache for him it has also made his loved ones and us nobody's that much more understanding of his actions.

Nah she was planning an intervention with the drug rehab clinic. Getting pictures of someone's bad behaviour is often a way to get them to make big changes in their life and get them to seek help. That's what you should do for the people you love.... I did it for my Alcoholic brother who wouldn't be alive today if I hadn't.

I'm liking Johnny Depp more and more as I continue to watch this trial...his unabashed honesty and straightforward ownership of his lifestyle and actions speak volumes about his character. Rich or famous...he is human and comfortable in his skin. They work to chip away at his integrity and his truthfulness...but he explains everything in the most simple terms...without worming or weaseling to conceal anything. I find this far more trustworthy and honest.

She was trying to entrap him, by recording and keeping texts and notes, is not something you do with someone your supposed to love and care about. She knew when she met him about his addictions, she pushed him pressing all the right buttons, to get the worst out of him and then record it. Childhood trauma and living with a violent narcissist like Amber will make anyone look to drugs for numbing. If anything, her attorney is validating Johnny's misery with her. Using drugs doesn't automatically make you an abuser, but it definitely proves the user is seeking to numb the psychological pain they're in. This is just more defamation... adding insult to injury. Smearing the character of a person in the public square does not mean that person is physically abusive toward other people. I can relate to Depp, I've punched some stuff in anger over the years, but never once has that stuff been another human being. I can relate, and can respect, a person that takes their anger out on an inanimate object for the sake of their own sanity. Gyms are full of people right this very moment taking their anger out on a treadmill, a heavy bag, a stack of weights, whatever. When people say weed isn't addictive they mean it's not possible for one's body to become physically dependent on it (such as with alcohol or opiates). I'm saying this as someone who is a recovering alcoholic and an occasional weed user. I know many with a weed addiction. Many with food addiction. That doesn't make weed or food bad though.
