Jolene is a true talent in front of a camera, but perhaps more so behind it. As she walks into the barn, she delicately places the mic on Jim, and then later relocates it while maintaining her silence as she records the goings on-no complaints of the cold, no suggestions concerning the content-only nods of agreement and low whispers are offered when solicited by Chad. Well done Jolene and thank you! Ps. It must be a treat to film Jim as he is a treasure for sure. ✌🏻❤️🔧
Just noticed Jimbo has the hubcaps perfectly spaced hanging on the wall. Shows us that at one level he's just as much a perfectionist in addition to being a philosopher. Jolene for a future video an idea could be for you to record Jimbo giving his mom a ride in the '57 Oldsmobile. It would be interesting to see the two together! I imagine she's as awesomely as precious a person as he is. Could be like a 'Driving Miss Daisy' vibe. It would be fun!
For me, that 57 Oldsmobile brings back a few cherished memories. In 1967, my first car was a 57 Olds 4 dr Sedan with the same blue and white color scheme. (I was 16) I called the paint "Robin Egg Shell Blue". When I bought it, I got it for half the price they were asking, at the lot, because the car lot salesman had to unload it to make room for something else. I paid $160.00. I loved how the blue and white paint contrasted the winter snow. To this day, I still believe the 57 Oldsmobile was the high lite of all the 50's cars.
Nothing better than waking up in the morning and drinking coffee on the back patio and watching Chad and Jimbo. The interaction these two have is priceless. Thanks for a wonderful morning. Every time Chad said something about how cold it was in the shop, Jim just shrugged it off with no reply. The antique junk yard versus a car show, I agree 100%. Friends like Jim are worth a million dollars a foot!
You’re buddy Clint from Utah. I really Like you’re friendship with Jim. It’s easy to see how much you genuinely care for Jim and how Jim cares for you and JOLENNE! Well done helping a friend with a need. It’s just something you don’t find to often anymore. People like you Putting others before thier own work. While I’ve done this for many I haven’t found any to ever return the full friendship. I must be doing it wrong I guess. Lol thanks I enjoyed the fender work Jim. I understand not fixing it into a show car. As you get older I understand the need to just get things the way you want it. Energy and time and pain all factor in. Good job Jim
Cool cool cool... Im not sure about the foam as a seal as it would hold water and cause rust issues..just my opinion, a nice peice of soft ruber or similar to alow the warter better drainage and runoff... But you're doing a great job Jim and with the added hand from Chad and Jolene at times is a great friendship you all have for the passion of cars. Keep up the fantastic work, thats going to be one cool car... ✌😎👍
It just doesn't get more original and real than Jimbo. He has a great philosophy and work ethic. It's a joy watching him work. And as always, it's a pleasure to follow Chad and his Queen Jolene, who are outstanding in their own right. Keep up the great work. We love it
Hey Chad and Jolene, I just have a suggestion for your exhaust. I bought a one pound spool of stainless wire for my mig to weld stainless from time to time. I just swap it out for the steel wire when I need it. I still use the mig gas which technically isn’t the most ideal but it still does an acceptable job, won’t rust and there’s no need to paint it. I usually just hit it quick with a stripper wheel to polish it up. Thought you’d like to know. Take care. 🇨🇦👍
Another good video. Chad, Jolene, showing how patient, kind they are, they are all there to help each other. What a lovely couple they make working together, the sky is the limit for the two of them, it would be wonderful if more couples had what they have going for them loving what they do. Thanks for sharing !!!.
Working on it in a extra dimension of space 🌌 and time. The conservationist and the metal Guy putting the pieces together in a old barn, while being video taped..
Chad, with minor changes to your MIG setup you can weld up those holes in the stainless. Teflon liner for the gun, DCEP, ar/o2 gas, stainless wire, then you can treat it like steel. The liners are usually less than $20, a small tank of gas is fairly inexpensive, as is the wire. Then you don't have to worry about corrosion. Argon/CO2 can cause corrosion from the carbon uptake.
Subscribed to Jim's channel. Thank you guys for recommending his content. Seems like the kind of guy that'll help you out with what ever you need for your project! Giver.
i use to feel the same way about salamandr heater or kerosene heaters but if you mix 3/4 gallon of unleade to 41/4 gallons of desiel fuel and put in salamander or kerosene heater you dont get hardly any oder and i havent had a problem found this out on youtube channel works for me keep in mind you are still putting off carbon minoxide fumes but in jims case there shouldnt be a problem my garage is much smaller and more air tight than his barn /garage
He reminds me of a friend of mine. I believe they may have went to the same school! You have the patience of a saint & personality I feel your girl is a rare breed but seems you two are just good real people! If you ever get near north Idaho you will have to stop by & check out my junk..
A friend of mine worked at a Buick dealership and had to deal with squeaks and rattles. They had a peoblem car that had a rattle going down the road. Several techs teied to diagnose it with days of tests drives. Turns out it was a 3/4" nut tied to a piece wire on the iside of the right fender. It had a note attached that read, " bet you had a hell of a time finding this" True story...😂
Wild guess an intake for the engine !!!! This should be another very good segment seeing the progress . It would be great if the Buggatti was painted and was drying while you travelled to Australia .
Great job guys 👍 But.. I don't understand why the subtitles were missing in yesterday's video, but now after 24 hours I see that they are active. Also this video is missing subtitles right now. Instead in the second part, on Jim's channel, there are subtitles. What a mess, maybe a RUclips bug, I don't know...
I would drive Jim's car over any new car today. Makes me miss my 71 Caprice every time I see the old cars you all work on. Cant wait to see the Bugatti up and on the road. Keep up the the great content Chad and Jolene 👍
Hi Chad & Jolene, Jimbo is really doing good work on his car. Imagine if he was using automotive paint and doing the whole car however, he is doing it his way which is what he should do. Fine job of videoing in the dark barn Jolene, you are the video goddess! Chad found exhaust pipe for your car, a little more progress on the Bugatti, every little bit helps.
Hey its jimbo ! 👋 Jim I see you got company . Chad and Jolene stop by to find a piece of gold in your pile of parts .? It's always nice to see Jim . Hope you two got what you need . Love it when you go visit Jim it's entertaining ! Thumbs-up Chad and Jolene and Jim
You have to admit Jimbo is a special kind of man that take a alternative route to his problem solving ....not an insult just pure love for the guy. I'd like to work side by side with the ole fella
I'm new sub in New Hampshire USA .bunch of old cool cars down here I know of and in Bethel Maine..rusty nice beautiful cheap ones..my older bfo built old hot rods..Chads got got good juju coming outta him, aka: good chill mental health, not all greedy and Narcissisim ity..ty man an woman..hey Jim 🤸✌️
I found this episode very entertaining and educational. You all make lining up fenders look easy. I know its not. Especially by yourself. Thank You for sharing your day with Jim. He's a great friend to have.
Might I suggest that some people on chat are respectful of others. Jim is a kind gentle, generous car guy, who would help anyone. Laughing at people is not what Chad's ethos is about...
Some quite disrespectful comments I've seen too. Very sad people. Jim is an excellent old dude and anyone who could be rude or disrespectful to him is a real piece of work. ✌🍩
Another great video especially when Jim is around the stories are awesome great job Chad and Jolene you all should do a video q&a with Jim and Chad how they met etc 😮
Best video yet! I truly enjoy watching you and jim working together! Reminds me of working in the garage with m y friends! Hope there's a part two to this! 🤣
Jolene can you let Jim know if he will put a PO Box address in the description on his videos he will receive lots of goodie$ in the mail. There are a bunch of us that want to help but can't find a way to do it. Many Thanks.
What you do is incredible and remarkably creative Watching you cross thread the guard “screws” cringing at the end Haha Get things done however 😵💫👍🏻🙂👍🏻🙂👍🏻
Chad it was nice of you to go help your friend out and as my mom always said no good deed goes unrewarded. God bless you and Jolene and have a blessed night
hey Jimbo just another thought if you did use expanding foam from a can it may pay to spray it into a plastic bag so it can take the shape of the void it is filling and wont stick to anything that way you can still take parts off and on with no problem
Jolene is a true talent in front of a camera, but perhaps more so behind it. Agreed. Enjoy watching Jim, and I have a soft spot for 57 88 Holidays.
Jimbo said it: "I'd rather go to an antique junkyard than a car show." Totally agree!

He is the top of the core for sure!

Jim is such a cool gentleman. Fully restored these oldsmobiles are like 45-60k. Would look great with black/yellow paint :)
Road trip today should be fun. More goodies for the Bugatti is a great find indeed.
Jolene does a good job keeping Ol Jim all mike'd up don't she?

Jim is a real kick! Thanks Chad and Jolene. Most appreciated.

Using a piece of egg crate mattress foam as a fender gasket?
Open cell foam?
It surely will absorb and hold water>= rust
Very nice job with Jim Ride
You and Jolene are such good friends for Jim. He's a real kick and you never know when he'll spill out some fun facts. Great video. 👍
I just love Jim, his eye for perfection and his eye for junk 😊.
That is a great friend, you helped me and now I help you! Good man like you Chad! 💯%
I enjoyed watching this last night, old car in an old barn helping out a friend. Keep up the good work!
So excited to see what have found
Nice design on that old oldsmobile
Always a good time with Jimbo that Olds is looking good. 🍻🤘♥️
I found this episode very entertaining and educational. You all make lining up fenders look easy. I know its not. Especially by yourself. Thank You for sharing your day with Jim. He's a great friend to have.
Nothing like laying around on the cold concrete working on stuff, and scrounging for parts in Jim's barn. 👍
Thanks for taking us along. Keep up the good work
won't that foam rubber hold moisture?
Might I suggest that some people on chat are respectful of others. Jim is a kind gentle, generous car guy, who would help anyone. Laughing at people is not what Chad's ethos is about...
Some quite disrespectful comments I've seen too. Very sad people. Jim is an excellent old dude and anyone who could be rude or disrespectful to him is a real piece of work.

@donut dan Jim reads these comments, some are very disrespectful.
Looking forward to this one 👍👍👍👍
Doing a fantastic job Jolene
Jimbo is such a smooth dude! Enjoy his point of view!
Chad has a great sense of humor.
Love these videos at Jim house
Cool video, enjoy watching you all! That steering wheel turned out sweet. Jolene is a great videographer! 🤘🖤
great to help a frend like jim bo
Back to the future Jimbo! Awesome watch Chad and Jimbo working together!
I don't know if Jim drinks or not, but a couple of drinks in him would make him a riot at a party. The way he sees the world is very refreshing.
I have pulled out the foam from every vehicle I've owned it retains water and causes rust/rot. the best thing to use there is rubber.
I love the valve covers on Jim's car, always a good time when Jimbo is on.
Another great video especially when Jim is around the stories are awesome great job Chad and Jolene you all should do a video q&a with Jim and Chad how they met etc 😮
Yeah, I would agree. Seeing Jimbo and his Mum going down the road in the merry Oldsmobile would be a real treat...
A proper ‘leaping Jaguar’ for the top of the radiator grille! 🇬🇧
Best video yet! I truly enjoy watching you and jim working together! Reminds me of working in the garage with m y friends! Hope there's a part two to this! 🤣
Part 2 is on Jim chanel,i just saw it.
Jolene can you let Jim know if he will put a PO Box address in the description on his videos he will receive lots of goodie$ in the mail. There are a bunch of us that want to help but can't find a way to do it. Many Thanks.
Good find, Chad, for exhaust
Enjoy watching the video keep them coming!!!
What you do is incredible and remarkably creative
Watching you cross thread the guard “screws” cringing at the end
Haha
Get things done however 😵💫👍🏻🙂👍🏻🙂👍🏻
Chad it was nice of you to go help your friend out and as my mom always said no good deed goes unrewarded. God bless you and Jolene and have a blessed night
Why the foam ? wont it just hold water and rust the fenders ?
Chad and Jolene you have a great friend in jimbo 👍
Good material find chad good thinking.
I enjoy your history stories. I wondered when you tell these stories, if it's the first time Jolene has heard them.
Awesome evening brother and little sister !!! Another awesome adventure with Jim !!! Strong coffee lol !!!
Charge your damn genius, I love your laid-back respectfulness of the people you deal with. Keep Rock And Rollin doing what you do best! From Ontario.
Awesome, Thanks......Good job Jim
Entertaining! Friends helping each other out! Thanks for sharing!
Foam like that will absorb moisture, it should be impregnated with diluted tar, even oil would help. This would prevent rust coming
Jim's a funny guy but he's down to earth I like his new show and what he's been doing excellent job on that red car
hey Jimbo just another thought if you did use expanding foam from a can it may pay to spray it into a plastic bag so it can take the shape of the void it is filling and wont stick to anything that way you can still take parts off and on with no problem
That car is looking great! I love it!
Excellent gapping on the fender.
Jim's oldsmobile I like is a rocket 🚀.Marco comm.
Chad is funny.
G'day Pancho!
✌🍩
Those are SEMA gaps, Jimbo!
