    Very very helpful video. I feel more comfortable now that I have this as a reference.
    One general tip based on 7 years as an Amazon seller. If you get into a dispute with a customer who is demanding a replacement or refund, feel free to ask them this question "what will it take to make you happy? What do you think would be fair?" At least then you know what is the most a problem will cost you, and most times, they will actually propose a very fair and more affordable resolution than you feared. And it will be their idea so you won't hear from them again.

      Great tip! I agree that most customers are more reasonable than you might expect if you give them a chance.

    I waited a week last week for a item to come to me in the mail from etsy. It was supposed to come that Friday but because of a snow storm it couldn’t. I understood that. But my last update was the 3rd, which was last week and it’s the 6th. I looked at tracking and nothing. Long story short, when I contacted the seller she just gave me my refund instead of actually trying to work it out. Like you said, showing the customer that you care basically, she didn’t show that. I gave her three stars

    8:50 I've had delivery drivers who signed their own name and marked the package as delivered while dumping it at another apartment in the building where I live without informing me, which means I have no clue where it is. All I can do is hope they've dropped it off with a trustworthy neighbor.
    And of course, you still have to deal with porch dumpers. Delivery drivers who dump the package in front of your door where everyone can just take it (even though their company policy prohibits them from doing so, here in the Netherlands).

    Hi Jeff, Thanks for another informative video. I've had a customer let me know that their parcel wasn't delivered, although the tracking indicates it was delivered to a parcel locker. This customer contacted me a day after ordering asking for a refund because they accidentally placed the order. She accepted that it was already being printed for her, and amicably decided she would be receiving the tshirt. I know she will not want another sent to her, so am I just going to have to pay the difference between the Printify refund and amount she paid (including the shipping)? Or have you come across any recourse through USPS? I'll be $14.40 out of pocket! Any advice is super welcome :)

      Hi! In this situation usually Printify will provide you a refund or replacement if you first confirm with USPS that they do not have the package and cannot trace it. Normally I would ask the customer to contact their local post office or distribution center to ask them to verify they don't have the package but in your case it sounds like asking the customer to do that probably wouldn't work. You can also submit a request to USPS online asking them to search for the package. Usually when I've done this in the past I just get a response saying they can't help, but that's enough to satisfy Printify. After getting that response, you can let Printify know that USPS was not able to locate the package and the customer has verified the package was not misplaced and they usually will provide a refund. Of course you most likely will need to go ahead and refund the customer before this is completed because USPS can take 2-3 days to respond if you submit a request online. Worst case, yes you will lose the cost of the fulfillment. But hopefully if you contact USPS Printify will provide a refund. Here's the form to submit a USPS request:

      Thanks for that info. I did what you suggested and she was happy that I was proactive in dealing with it. The tshirt arrived three days later and she was happy with the service, and also with the tshirt that she accidentally ordered. She left a good review and 5 stars 🙂 Without your guidance I expect it may have not gone as smoothly- thank you so much!

    I had a customers order get marked as undeliverable and it’s on its way back to printify. How do I fix this and resend it? I reached out to the customer and they provided an extra P.O. Box to include in the address that will hopefully correct the delivery issue.

    Hey Jeff, thanks for the video. What would you recommend as the best course of action if a POD item is not delivered due to insufficient address, and then returned to sender. I'm in that situation rn.

    Please, how do I sort this out? I have lots of Orders to ship using a dropshipping supplier website but some of the ordered products I placed them already while I am still stuck with some not knowing how to fulfill them because the suppliers are on Chinese holiday now. So, I tried extending the processing time on Etsy but the ordered ones refusing changing to the new extended time rather showing me that those orders are due to be shipped today in red color. What do I do please? I am scared to reach to the customers to let them know of the delays because I tried doing that recently with 2Orders last week and it resulted in them asking for refund.
    Secondly, I don't know why when I post POD the customers don't buy but rather keeps buying dropshipping ones... Don't know how to get US dropping products to post as against China. Have gone to CJ dropshipping, Spocket etc but some still think that those platforms sellers are also mostly dropshippers getting from China majority do not have the inventory at home.
    Maybe if I order from them and they already have the customers money with them, they are likely to come up with excuses too inorder to buy more time waiting on Chinese holiday to be over too. In that case, running into that same issues. What do you suggest on the two issues please?

    I have an order from esty that goes to printful. Printful has had the order for 8 days and im still waiting for it to be fulfilled. I talked to printful and they said there behind. I contacted the customer to let them know whats going on. Esty is saying to ship within 3 days. Im concerned with what to do if printful doesnt get it shipped in 3 days. I don't want my store to get punish for something out of my control.

      Hi! You definitely did the right thing contacting the customer to let them know! You can update the "ship by" date in your Etsy account as well which will push that date back so Etsy does not mark it as "late". To do that, open the order in your Etsy account and then click on the "More Actions" button (next to the "complete order" button). Then select the option "Update Ship by Date" and extend the date out a few days. You can just make your best estimate based on what Printful told you. This will also give you an option to add a message for the customer so they know why the date is being extended (in this case you already did that though). I hope that helps!

    I'm stuck on two issues with shipping profiles. One says shipping zip code invalid, the other says shipping profile name does not match shipping profile type. I'm stuck. I have hundreds of products to list and only have one uploaded. Please help. Etsy customer service was not helpful. Should mention , I'm using my phone not a computer

      Hi, if you’re using the Etsy seller app, it sounds like a lot of sellers have been having this issue recently. I found a thread on the Etsy seller forums and it sounds like you should be able to update your shipping profiles by going to your Etsy account in your phone’s web browser instead of the app, or use a laptop/computer instead. I hope one of those options works!

    Just about to watch, but I have a quick unrelated question for you... Is your 30 day Printify Premium offer only for new accounts or can it be applied to existing accounts? This is the week I finally get my act together and get my shop up & running, so probably won't have many, if any sales. If I sign up with Printify now, will I be able to use your code later on, when I've hopefully got some traffic and can benefit from the reduced rates, etc? Thanks!! Right, back to the video to see what's in store...man, I have so got to stop procrastinating (after the video).

      Hi! The coupon code works as long as you don't have an active premium account. If you have a free account the coupon code will work, so you should be good! Good luck getting your shop up and running, you can do it!

    Im curious about on Etsy if someone provides you an address and you ship it to them. It comes back undeliverable and now the person wants to change the address. There is very little margin of profit in my items to eat shipping costs and ship it out on my dime. Is there a way to have the customer repay to ship to a different address? What would you recommend?

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  2 года назад +1

      Hi! Unfortunately there's no easy way to collect an additional payment on Etsy - they don't allow editing an order once it has been placed/paid by the customer. You do, however, have a couple options. One is to create a dummy listing for "shipping charge" with a quantity of 1 and ask them to use that listing to pay for the additional fee to re-ship the item. This is a little wonky but keeps things on Etsy and I've done it once or twice - I've also used the same method a couple times when someone wanted to pay for expedited shipping after placing an order. Of course that creates another order that you have to remember to mark complete but you can use the same tracking # from the real order to satisfy Etsy's guidelines for uploading tracking information. Another option is to open a business PayPal account (if you don't already have one) and send the customer an invoice for the extra shipping fee. It will email them the invoice with a link to pay and it's very smooth/easy, however some people may be wary of being asked to pay separately from Etsy. I've never done it that way myself for an Etsy customer but I've used PayPal invoices in the past and it's pretty easy to do.

    • @MysticPheonix369
      @MysticPheonix369 2 года назад

      @@PODinsights thank you for taking the time to reply. I read somewhere that etsy frowns on PayPal links for invoicing now for this. The other option where you create a custom listing seemed like the best. I ended up full refunding the order and ate the shipping cost to keep customer happy. Don't want to lose the star seller for something stupid lol

    Hello! question, what do you do is etsy doesn't accept the carrier for your tracking number, but your tracking shows its processing? how will etsy take them off reserve if they can't see the tracking? i already messaged my buyers the tracking but all of my solds are still on reserve since i cant put the tracking right bc the carrier they don't accept

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  2 года назад

      Hi! As far as I know, if Etsy has a reserve on your order funds they won't release it sooner than 45 days if there is no tracking information on the order(s). At least that is what I'm seeing in this article: help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360058722214-What-is-a-Payment-Account-Reserve-?segment=selling
      What is the shipping carrier for your orders? You might be able to use the Other option and add a name that they recognize.
