  • Join me in the venerable Cessna fartcart-ahem-lovable Cessna 150, in my flight from coast to coast! No frills. This was not a vacation with money to be spent exploring. It is lil ol me just trying to get from point A to point B, with all the sights and adventures that came along the way!

Young Lady, you should be very proud of yourself. You did a fantastic job. I'm an ex corporate, cargo, pilot. With some test pilot time. Now retired. You fulfilled one of the dreams many pilots have.

@@amywhite375 I second what sam says. Watching a good video of a cross country flight is great, more so when they're done as well as your videos. Trent Palmer, the Kitfox pilot, posted some excellent videos of his "slow flight" cross country to Oshkosh, and it was a well done video. Cheers Amy White,
safe travels always. P.S. Check out "Yellow Pilot" from Vancouver B.C. and the videos that he posted on his channel of his around the world flight in a Robinson helicopter.

I always thought of it as being bitter-sweet/funny, when flying a C-150/152 Westward, into a headwind... and seeing Semi-Trucks going faster on the ground then I was in the air! =)

What a wonderful adventure you had. I hope videos like this will inspire young women.
Back in the early 70's (I'm now 73) I flew a Cessna 150 alone from Detroit to Kissimmee, FL and it took me 4 days to get there. The weather grounded me for a couple days in Cleveland, TN. One of the most fun times I had in aviation. I envy your cross country adventure.

Wow. I don't often feel the need to make a comment on you tube. I'm sure my last was years ago, but i feel that need now. Thank you so much for sharing that adventure. I've watched all three of your clips and they're all great. I live in Australia, the wide brown land, and I love it and I love living here, but your vision has shown me parts of the US that I never knew existed. You live in an amazingly beautiful continent and I'm sure you must be very proud to be a citizen of such a magnificent country. I'm now sixty and did flying lessons in my twenties.. never got a licence.. got married, had kids and let the dream slide.. but now.. the bucket list must be satisfied.. Thank you so much for the inspiration.

You did really good in only four days. All your landings were greasers, with the stall warning, that's the way. I love the way you care for your little aircraft. I've had a few trips like that, a Otter on floats from British Columbia to Labrador in seven days with lots of bad weather, a Tri-Pacer I bought in Alberta to back home in Québec, a Navajo from Chile to Ontario, and so on. Those trips only make us a better pilot. There is so much to learn over a long distance. Thanks for sharing, Amy, you made my day. Cheers.

Some people are just jerks, however the RUclips algorithm doesn't care if a video gets a thumbs up or a thumbs down. Both are treated equally by RUclips. They both count positively towards the video's engagement score.

One thing to keep in mind is that some people may be watching on phones or tablets where it's easy to slip and accidentally tap the thumbs-down button. Out of 30,000 views, I could totally believe that 15 people made that mistake. Maybe one or two of them are genuine jerks.

Beautiful series. I especially like the sound of the reed type stall warning (described as sounding like an "asthmatic voodoo" in a Flying Magazine review the first year they switched from the electric buzzer to the pneumatic reed) followed by the chirp of the tires touching down. Very nice!!! Great shot of your ground speed readout as well. Lets see, approximately 94kt TAS and a 34kt GS means you had a 60kt or so headwind! That is C150 flying in the west...well, west of the Mississippi River at least. Thanks again for the series. I will be binge watching more of your videos later this week.

The Alternative and Indie genre is so widespread, it's much more than the punk rock style you may think of when I mention them. There's a much softer side within the genres, reminiscent of older style music (Chord patterns, creative bass picking, and awesome percussion). It speaks to me and I like it--I'm glad you like it too! It all started with Foster The People obsession and now I'm here. Haha! I also dig some of the smartly-done electronic styles with a good beat to them.

Great flight! Welcome to the neighborhood! I’m based at Arlington, and I moved my Cessna 150 (N7084S) out here from Pittsburgh a few years ago.

Thanks for a great series of videos, Amy! I'm based out of PAE, and I'm hoping to get recurrent soon, and your videos definitely are helping spur my decision. Welcome to the PNW!

For the last couple of years I've been "touring" the USA vicariously on the ground through the travels of one Brian @adventurevanman here on yt, so it was really wonderful to see so much of the country from the air. Thank you Amy.

Amy, I enjoyed flying along with you on your long cross country. I learned to fly back in '72 in a red and white 150, 2824S so I've always had a soft spot for 150's. I've subscribed so I'll be taking some more trips with you.
