You want to see if it Measures up? Well have a sneak peek into a regular schemgular day when I leave my house. I also went to the grocery store but I barely wanted to do this video at all, so I cut it out, LOL maybe some other time. The North Americas are very similar. You got that right, Merida ain’t cheap unless you are going to deprive the heck out of yourself. Jealous of your transportation freedom by having a vehicle! That guy was nice looking and the condo was really nice! Thanks again for the shout out 🦋
You’re so welcomed friend. Your video helped me so it’s only right. And yep I’m not about to deprive myself.
And I only had my nieces truck when she was out of town. Ok m back to my usual 😂
Thanks for this sneak peek into Merida! I could get lost in that Muy Mucho store! I love the unique home goods you showed.
Yes it’s such a cute store. Merida has tons of boutiques like that.
Imported goods typically will cost more...although a lot not manufactured in the US anyways...lol so it's a Luxury tax lol for having a US brand overseas.....New to your channel- you popped up on my feed...and I subscribed....Great to see you thriving...and being so adventurous...it definitely is motivating.....Love it!
Thanks so my h for subscribing glad to have you here 😊 and yea that’s a great point you made! Most the things ain’t even made in the US it’s crazy
Thanks for the video.
You are welcome! ☺️
Thank you for the shopping day ☀️ Now I’m off to get noodles and veggies 😂
Hahahaha lol Rhonda the ones I had was so good I went back a few days later to get more 👀🤣 that zucchini and broccoli was hitting just the sauce was so delicious
@@LESHAUNWILL 😂😂😂
Nice one thank you for sharing it like hanging out with you 😊
Glad you enjoyed it. I wasn’t sure bout it lol
Great points you and Malika be giving up great information. Everything is expensive everywhere. However ,for the best bang for your buck I'm sure Mexico is a great alternative. It's all about the housing for me
Yes the housing is good in comparison. I love my house 😊
Love all the Boho decor. I didn't know HM was still open. I use to love that store.
Yes girl they still open and also the store have a lot of boho and natural options. I love it
H &M also has a home store but not here in Merida. There’s one in Bangkok.
Thanks for the great video! I like the “random” content 👍
Glad you enjoyed it ☺️
Mexico’s “Black Friday” is called “El Buen Fin”. It is always the weekend before Mexican Revolution Day observed the 3rd Monday of November. So El Buen Fin this year was Friday Nov 17- Monday Nov 20.
Love your videos. Glad ur here.
Bienvenida a Mexico.😊
Oh wow THANK YOU 😊 I learned something new today. I had no idea. So glad you chimed I’m for the comment section ☺️
Girl, I hope you get ad revenue. I will watch the hell out of these ads if they benefit you. It's utterly ridiculous how this global inflation is just that global. A friend of mine and her husband moved to Canada and she's complaining about the same thing. As always I enjoyed the video😊
Thank you yes I get Ad revenue it’s not a lot but it adds up and you really only have to watch about 20 seconds for it to count but thank you 😊 and yes the peso is so much stronger while the dollars is so much weaker. It’s crazy
Awesome Vlog Shaun!
Thanks a ton! I really didn’t wanna do it lol but like I said it’s taking off ⬆️ it be the ones you least expect 🤦🏽♀️
👍🏾🤗🌿🌱🍀⚘️I enjoyed the tour❤
Glad you enjoyed it
Girl, while watching this video I had my currency converter open to check out those Mexican pesos. You ain’t lying! Merida is expensive!
Told you guys. Y’all think I was exaggerating I’m so glad you did that ☺️
Great video as always 🔥
Appreciate it! I was so reluctant to do a spend the day with me video uuugh lol 😂
@@LESHAUNWILL No problem. I understand😂.
Thanks for the day in the life in Mexico!
Is the time didn't opening an account because you're an expat? That's just crazy!
There are many Chinese/Latin food restaurants in uptown Manhattan... in the Riverside and West End Avenue areas. I think there's a couple in Hell's Kitchen. The 'hood Chinese restaurants in NJ make them, too. 🤷🏽♀️
Agassi, huh? 😏😉
Good to see you, as always! 💛✌🏽🖖🏽
Yeah your right but I never had a vegetable rolls with cinnamon cabbage 👀 🤮 no thank you.
The rest was delicious
And the bank guy I think was new but he was the only one who spoke English there. It was a very drawn out process. Malikah said it didn’t take her as long though so I’m not sure.
❤❤❤
Gracias ☺️
Great video
Thanks so much lol I really didn’t wanna do it 😂
How is it driving in Merida ?
F O R G E T I T Honestly it’s the worst. They can’t drive, they don’t use critical thinking skills, and there are too many roundabouts so I refuse to do it. I see accidents every single time I go out
@@LESHAUNWILL oh my ! Be safe and thanks for the response. Sounds like I’d have to home school if I move to Merida if driving is a no no
@@meshabailey3280 it depends on where you live. Some of the kids go to these homeschool pods close to their neighborhoods. My friends and my niece drive but I tried it a few weeks at a time and it was nerve wracking I was white knuckling it the whole time 😂 rent something first and see how you feel. I learned how to drive in New York so I’m a very aggressive driver and I’ve never had any accidents. Knock on wood, but these mofos make me question my own skills 🤣
Great vid. Yes...I will definitely have my "ducks in a row as far as finances are concerned". Still debating on selling all my stuff and starting new or bringing my old stuff. I was just there 2 weeks ago. I also got my BBVA account, but the location I went to only had "bankers" who only spoke SPANISH so I had a friend go with me who translated the entire transaction. I think it took about an hour. I still need to learn their app. So question: the location you went to apparently has ENGLISH speaking agents? If so, guess I will go there for now on going forward.
Yes but there’s only one guy that speaks English Michael Angelo like the ninja turtle 😄 lol it’s at La Isla Mall
That 2 way street looks like only 1 & 1/2 cars can fit.
Yes that’s why I had to sell my big truck because my excursion make my niece truck look small. There is no way I would’ve been able to drive her there
I see that you were at the bank a few hours but besides that how was your experience?
Yes I think the guy was new but he was the only one who spoke English. They were all very nice. It was a friendly experience. Nothing crazy. One paid electric bill, passport and residency card. They require you to maintain like $80 usd in your account for 7 months and they charge a fee monthly which you can withdraw after 7 months as well.
Living in paradise aint cheap and never was 😂 especially in tropical places by the carribean.
Yup
Good info, can you give us a rough estimate of Peco to Dollars.
Yes it’s roughly $5.58-ish cent for every 100 pesos so if something is 200 pesos you’re spending over $11.00 for it but keep in mind the exchange rate fluctuates daily. The peso used to be worth more but it’s stronger now as the dollar has lost value so that also adds to the expenses people were once accustomed too.
They finger print you?
They do
