Easiest instructions ever, by following along, I was able to replace my old battery in my 2012 MacBook Pro with a brand new battery all within 10 minutes. Thanks for the Video, RUclips is by far the platform to go to for any do it yourself fix.
Thanks for the video. It was very helpful. I want to add that you should always charge your new battery to 100% before using it, for example overnight. After that, disconnect from the charger and let it run out entirely. After that, recharge and use normally. This makes sure the battery will recharge appropriately in the future.

Thanks for the info and vid. I would have put the Tri-wing screws back in place first before I plugged the battery in to the motherboard. You never know which circuits could be energized, and a simple slip with a metal screwdriver could theoretically short something that has a power source connected to it. Just food for thought, not trying to be a jerk!
I bought a new battery on Amazon, did everything mentioned in the video and the laptop doesn't turn on. I plugged in an adapter to see if there's any indication of electric flow from wall outlet to computer (battery) and no green light appears on cord. Dead. I'm going to try replacing it once again and see if another try powers on this thing. Or... any other ideas?
Hi can u pls add the links for the screwdrivers and how did u upgrade ypur apple to the latest operating system? Ive got the same laptop but the os is high sierra

Good point - it also lets the mac calibrate to give an accurate "battery remaining" percentage
The 2012 models are so great. Literally anything inside of them can be replaced / upgraded easily

The battery / power management system needs to be calibrated afterward. It would help to include those instructions.

Hello , how do you calibreate the power management system ? Is this the so called "SMC" reset ( by Ctrol - Alt- shift and power-on button pressing)

I have had one of my screws come out will it still be changeable?
