Really like the care that you put into this video. Not everyone take the time to go over the installation of connections like you did. That is my biggest pet peeve and you nailed it. You earned a new sub. It has been fun learning how to upgrade this MacBook. I'm showing her a lot of love. Installed 16 GB of ram, new battery, cloned hdd to 1 TB SSD. Practically rebuilt it. I have been noticing my fan coming on.

TYSM for this video! It all worked flawlessly and my MBP is running better now! A little tip for the tricky keyboard cable I found helpful: I was also having problems to get it in and found that if you taker a long (5 cm or so) piece of not too sticky isolation tape and tape it to the cable once you put the tip of it into the socket, you can very easily "pull" it into the socket, using the tape as something to hold onto. Afterward you can carefully pull the tape off by pulling it at a very sharp angle. Do so at your own risk, but for me it worked very well, because I felt I was damaging the cable using tweezers or my fingers. EDIT: just realized that someone already commented that technique

that plastic is part of the battery or something some corner plastic, but for me is very hard to say what part is. but it is safe to say that it is a plastic and any broken plastic in the re is not important.

Hi. Sometimes the heat sink pipe has a barcode sticker that can stick to the layer underneath which covers the keyboard backlight. In my case I ended up ripping the layer below slightly while attempting to lift the logic board, but it shoudn't be that big of a deal
