The best advice ever for me personally was the Dana's advice how to find home for anything. If I need to use this thing, where I would look for it? Priceless ❤
I found your video so inspiring, and have heard of a couple of the guys you mentioned, and it all makes sooooo much sense! Just hard work to start with, as you said, but just to get up and DO something, gets the ball rolling I find! I live alone with my rescue greyhound Madge, so you would think I could keep on top of things - I am retired, and 67 years young - but I have been in a state of no mo jo, but am working on it! It feels so good when the dishes are clean - my dish washer broke a few months ago now, and can not afford a new one, so have to do everything by hand now - as I do tend to let them build up in my tiny kitchen. It is just getting in the routine of clearing and cleaning, as you said, that helps to keep the house a lovely home to live in. Blessings from Jilly & Madge, from West Devon, England. xxx
Master class here !! The thing I get out of this is developing a system, or routine which works for you. Starting with reducing trash, unused items, & the # of objects/ clothing etc… which you have to manage,& clean around on a daily basis. Purge… trash, donate unused items, consign large, or valued items, store your treasured items, put everything in its place, clean top to bottom. Or create a step by step method which works for you. I think also… if the space has stopped working for you to do the first few steps of decluttering … trash,& donate, store… then pull everything out of the room… paint, & rebuild the room to your ideal , functional dream…& get the fresh start you need… one room at a time …as in one day at a time … so you don’t get overwhelmed. Good luck all my fellow clutter bugs … & know you are not alone with this problem. 💕🌸🦋🌻💕
Flylady was soooo overwhelming. But I eventually realized that it is really hard to clean around clutter, and she focuses so much on the cleaning and I should have focused more on decluttering first.
Wow, this is like "the all stars" video! So full of great tips. Making sure the dishes are clean or loaded to run the dishwasher over night is my consistent accomplishment and has become almost a must. That and getting dressed in the morning, down to shoes. Even if the shoes are just Crocs. I can rush out of the house if I need to or really be ready for anything that comes my way, plus I "feel" like I'm ready to work. I still have a long way to go though. The bain of my existence are the homeless items! 😵
I love this 😁❤️ I have followed all of these awesome ladies and have learned a lot from them. Now I just need to keep up with habits. The only one I haven't tried is clean mama. I have two other ladies to suggest if you haven't heard of them is That awkward mom I think? And the tidy tutor ❤️
I dont have littles, but I do have some of their things, my youngest is 30….LOL. I need to get through the “stuff”. I love the Dana K. And Minimal Mom Dawn, how to manage the inventory and having a place for every thing and every thing in its place. Clutter bug, I took the test.. I am not good with micro managing or at hiding every thing. I tend to start in a corner and go around the room. It doesn’t always work for me, none the less I have to move forward. I love the FlyLady. Start at something. The sink is a good place. The dish washer runs at night. Emptied in the morning. I used to do various things on a specific day, Bathrooms Monday and Friday, vacuum Tuesday and Friday. Monday thru Friday a load of laundry per day and clean the kitchen daily. That is kind of how I work it.
*PLEASE* look into what you are actually saying when you refer to children as the L word!! Hint: gross "adult' stuff (think in. Sessst, child grape, etc...) YES, REALLY!!!
Thanks so much for being here, friends! ❤ Comment below some of the tips you’ve found helpful in getting control of your house!
This was a great recap of a bunch of different ways to clean and organize! Ty!
You bet! 😊

Yes, such a great question! Her thinking process is just so relatable! 😊
YES!! We move a lot so I find myself asking that question a ton in a new place and boy, it can be hard!
