My mom took me to see this in theaters when I was in my early 20s and I loved it and was genuinely surprised at how much the story made sense and was true to the core of both respective series'. The construction site they do battle at towards the end is supposed to actually be the Crystal Lake Research Facility. This film made us genuinely believe Freddy and Jason exist in the same universe and Freddy gave a great non-comedic Freddy performance. Ken was okay as Jason but oh well.
One thing that always made me laugh about this movie is the boyfriend just bursts into the school and starts talking about freddy with like 150 kids around him its like "damn Freddy gonna have a field day now... everyone knows who the hell he is lol."
It’s not Batman “versus” Superman- but Batman ‘V’ Superman; the film is about the clashing of their conflicting ideals culminating in the climactic titular fight. The fight is actually timed amazingly; it wouldn’t have made a lot of sense for Superman to get beaten up for very long by a Batman that knew very basic information about him- notably regarding his weaknesses. BVS is quite brilliant actually. I’m really enjoying watching your series of videos reviewing the movies of the “Big 3” horror slasher franchises; I also enjoy NOES2 [as well as Halloween 3 and F13-5]. 🤗 Cheers!

I will admit this was the best vs movie ever, it's way better than puppet master vs demonic toys that's for sure, there is only one complaint in one scene in this movie that always drove me crazy and still does, you know that scene where they are fighting in the dream world and then a bunch of water 💧💦 falls down like a waterfall and they both stop infront of it dead in their tracks 👣 for a while and just stare 👀 at it as it's coming down and then Jason see's it and then backs up from it? yeah you know what scene I'm talking 👄 about right? and then Freddy is all like, oh so there is something you are afraid of after all, first of all I call bullshit on that scene cause everyone who has watched the Friday the 13th movies knows Jason well for always going after his victims all the time in the lake towards their boat ⛵ and you have seen this in many films, so why would he be afraid of water 💧💦 gushing down from the ceiling? why would he back up away from that? that's completely bullshit, he shouldn't be afraid of that, he should have been like big fucking deal, I go after people in lakes all the time, you think a little water 💧💦 gushing down from the ceiling is going to prevent me from kicking your ass Freddy? I mean you see what I'm saying here? this is like Freddy being afraid of fire 🔥 cause he was burned alive by his elm street neighbors but yet he is always hanging out in a boiler room, I don't think the writers really saw everything in the Friday the 13th movies if they made that one mistake cause that shouldn't have happened, Jason shouldn't be afraid of water if he always goes after his victims in lakes, there is also the fact that they show him coming out of the water holding a head in his hand as well as Freddy's head in his near the end which proves my point right there that he has no problem being in the water, speaking of that scene, when Freddy winks 😉 at the audience 👪 he kinda gives it away that there could have been a possibility for a sequel but who knows, I remember there was a comic Jason vs leatherface at one point, I'm surprised that movie hasn't been made yet, speaking of vs movies, I really think a chucky vs leprechaun would make a great movie cause they are both short and they both kinda share the same humor with their dialogue in movies, except leprechaun would have more of an advantage since he has magic, or maybe leprechaun vs wishmaster since they both have magic.

Funny thing is that Kane Hodder didn't play Jason until the SEVENTH movie in the series!! .. . and has played him in ONLY FOUR movies out of the entire series! He's the only actor to play him more than once though, and I guess THAT's why he's the most famous.

If you watch the documentary reflections on Camp Crystal Lake they explain some of their choices for better or worse and from different behind the scenes perspectives, it had nothing to do with Englunds so called ego but with casting directors and supposedly even the directors vision of what they wanted Jason’s size to be like this video mentions and yes huge mistake on their part, not showing Friday flashbacks makes the film uneven but honestly probably has something to do with who owns the rights to those films which I think there is still court proceedings waging in nov 2019, In terms of this film, Paramount produced the original Friday films whereas NewLine has always had full Freddy rights. I’ve heard a lot of complaints about the protagonist in Freddy Vs Jason and granted she is no Heather or Patricia but what I like about her is she is reminiscent of Britney Murphy which is eerie and tragic in its own right.
@@kenXtripleI I don't think so. Robert has to feel he is more important to Freddy than Kane is to Jason ( which he is of course) and he seems a little egotistical. Freddy v Jason not casting Hodder makes a clear statement, Englund IS Freddy, Jason is the mask.

I like the movie to an extent but it’s too over the top tho, like bride of Chucky’s gore & special effects were pretty realistic, but this movie has the worst special effects like body’s flying when they get hit?? And the way the girl swims in the beginning,,, CRINGE. Jason looked pretty bad in this and his movements were really bad. I would have used Kane hodder or Derek mears

Maybe but I'd like to think if it were up to Robert and not New Line Studios he would of wanted Kane to be Jason.
