While I enjoyed the uncle nearest, Can we get a bit longer videos going more in depth and a more standard tasting pace ? Most the video is filler outside of the actual tasting.

Totally agree. I have enjoyed the whiskey selection in my box this year, but have been missing the educational aspect of the different spirits. Since Flaviar did a complete design of their website, all the wonderful educational content that I loved is now gone. Please bring back this content back.

Uncle Nearest is best enjoyed with a few drops of water. This opens up the whiskey and overcomes the rawness of the 100 proof spirit. Quite nice.

Day three - Green, Bank Note Blended Scotch Whisky. This one comes on sbooth and coast. The tongue and a sweet ginger and then finishes in a toffee with a smokey coffee all the way through. Again, it's a little too late for me because i'm a die-hard bourbon lover. But even being a bourbon lover, this is good 8.5/10.

Uncle Nearest was great, you can taste the caramel and maple. Smooth for 50%>

This one is a surprise! Looking at the description I was doubtful. Sampled, tasted, considered and now it’s on my buy list. Very nice, and I’m still loving this!!

Dark chocolate lingers almost after you'd think it finished. I taste sherry too. The oak perhaps?

I agree with the brown sugar, caramel nose. The taste was very strong, but not offensive. Just like a good heavy whiskey should be. I did a bit of research on my own after the tasting. Very interesting history. Watch the film!

This was on my to-try list and I've moved it over to my to-by list. Great mouth feel and body that could hold its own with steak and fries.

Enjoyed Uncle Nearest, which has a nice heat on the tongue, if there’s a little bit of a burn. Picked up on the vanilla through line through all the smoke and almost tobacco flavor. Strong but smooth. Definitely could see the appeal of this. Wish more time was spent talking about Uncle Nearest as it’s a great story about the distillery. Very much missing the app that would give you an overall comparison of your choices.

Does anyone know what the difference is between the two boxes? I don’t remember having a choice between the two- I just got the black Amber Kingdom box.
Hi Jonah, the difference between the boxes is in juice line-up and the second box got only available after we sold out the first - black, Amber Kingdom box. We wanted to give more people a choice to join in on the fun 🥃
Black Day 3
N: Caramel, butterscotch, honey. Spiced apples
P: spiced candy nuts transitions to tangy grass
F: Tart caramel. Continues to get butter with time becoming very earthy and grassy
100% TN whiskey. Starts smooth and the aftertaste is way too harsh.

Not my fav, but nice finish on the bank note. Kinda tries to hit you in the face on the front end with everything, mellows quick
Day Three: Uncle Nearest- have to say, had a completely different nose and palate experience than Lui on this one! Did not pick up on any of the Caramel or Brown sugars. But, did get some of the hay, the nose was more of an overwhelming fresh cut grass, with some Granny Smith apples. Flavor continued with the grass/hay, also with hints of apples again. In addition, picked up on some clove/menthol like flavors? Maybe some mint? Couldn't really identify what the spice was, but it definitely becoming evident about midway through as a follow through on the aftertaste. Overall, this is my least favorite of the first three days, but it was still enjoyable. Not sure I would spend for an entire bottle, I think this is the only one so far whose price is a bit out of line. But, what I am really enjoying is the fact that all three of these first samples have been very different from each other! Loving the variety of profiles we've already seen.

Why two calendars? Makes things confusing.
Hi there, after we sold out the first box expression we wanted to give more people the opportunity to enjoy advent and created another one with different juice line up. While we know it does complicate things a bit, we're happy to see more people joining in on the fun. Hope you still can have a great tasting experience 🥃
Too much filler content, and prob don't need the Flaviar Black ad on every single tasting video. Lui is doing a fine job thus far! And Uncle Nearest was delish.

Not a fan of the Uncle Nearest...a bit hot and too much oak and ash. The finish is also pretty short..not enjoyable at all. Here's to hoping tomorrow's sample is better. 4/10.

Our least favorite so far. Boozy nose, and hot on the tongue, both Pre amd post a bit of water. 5/10.
