I went from a supercharged dc5R about 1yr ago to a mk6 golfR to a fd2 civic type R and i love it i daily drive it to work and the grocery store n everywhere else. Love it
How did you find the DC5 compared to the FD2
Love these Honda vids. The FD2 is definetly one of my favourite from the type r family.
A great car review, with clear facts and description of how the car feels and drives. Maybe some rear interior/boot (great for those that need the space) /engine shots could be added, but overall this level of review is far superior to that of other you tubers that have many more subs. Keep up the great work.
It was officially available in Malaysia as well, the only country outside of Japan to get it.

Try and get hold of another great machine and legend the Accord Type R.
So how many saloon civic type r's have there been?
It's a great car but it's just too expensive, it's price tag puts it to close to more powerful motors imo
Ah, but power isn’t everything.
i prefer the normal FD2 looks but i prefer the performance of the type R
i cant describe how much i want that car in the states. Why honda why have you forsaken north america
Get a Civic SI and do a type R swap !

The first type r saloon was the db8. Very few made and it drove better than the hatch. I had one.
Marco Antonio Tamayo Arribasplata You can only have the look and engine but never can have the high rigidity of a true type r chassis which is 50% stiffer than the dc5 type r
FD2 is cool, no doubt. But DC5 is rarer (just), lighter, no less powerful (argue about 5hp if you want) and better looking (to me). As it’s also less expensive, DC5 takes it for me.
FD2 is bigger, more practical and still faster... win win. Outside of Japan/Malaysia FD2 is way rarer than DC5
