goes well that for n/a. all type r’s come alive on track but the fd is in a league of its own out there
It's my favourite Civic. Probably the last true Type R. It's a shame it didn't make it to Europe legally.
It is legal, it just wasnt imported new

@@Riknos It is in my country. It's freaking hard to import them due to gas emissions.
It's not that hard in the Netherlands, Germany or RHD countries but try to do so in Spain. You'll eat shit.

Decent bloke for asking you shout if you want him to slow down. I am not a good passenger, and the worst feeling is asking someone to slow down and them ignore the request ! Love the FD2, proper sorted track car right out the box.
Always say that to passengers just in case they get a bit worried once out. I know Adam sometimes isn’t a good passenger 😂

Always loved the look of the FD2, was surprised at how well it goes for such a chunky car!!
Its still a very light car, lighter than the 3 door FN2 that we got here.
@@kerrinmarr9204 that's pretty crazy!! You wouldn't think it looking at it, I was always surprised at how well my FN2 went as well though when i first bought that.
Had an FD2 last year, phenomenal car, outstanding performance and they look so sick with just a few bits. Just didn't think they have the character of the old 90s Hondas.

Compared to old Honda's the weight of FD2 is high, but compared to any new 4 door

Lovely car, gear ratios and suspension seem just right pretty much out of the box too.
I can't decide whether I like the CL7 or the FD2 more, FD2 is 3x the price here though.
I am going with a CL7R because of the price..
Had the CL7, amazing engine and car but heavy. just got the FD2r - simply amazing!!!

Hey Adam good video man. Looked like you guys had a lot of fun. They truly are a car that gets slept on a little. Right after I bought my 97 hatch I bought an 08 si sedan. There so much fun. They only weigh 80 ish pounds more than a two door. Keep the videos coming they’ve been great. Take care of yourself and keep having fun Adam.
Love the FD2, was looking for one a while back but couldn't find a decent one, got an FK2 instead
FK2 is a decent choice though, not as 'pure' as the FD2 but quicker point-to-point and on track.

Don't get me wrong FD2'S are amazing and i love them !! A great fun little track car , But to be honest I wish Honda had kept with RECARO for there seats instead of doing there own thing , I personally think a Red or a Black optional color seat of a SR7 Recaro would of topped the whole package off (plus keeping it modern in the interior) , even if it was for the jdm market for the fd2 , ... As the stock seats are / seem a little tacky, after years of recaro's that try a little hard but are not that real R thing , ....

@@alexwilson9776 oh awesome !! They will look great , very similar to the mugen RR seats right ? .. or tho the rr seats are still back adjustable.... Yeah as you know been a car guy about the recaros line the R hondas Na1s Na2s ek9s dc2s db8s cl1s dc5s ep3s cl7s all had recaros , so to chuck the linage away really annoyed me , . Or tho putting in aftermaket Recaos in is a way to go its kinda just not the same right , as silly as that sounds , if i had the money at the time buying a new fd2r , or and if there was an option for them you would honestly just tick it even if it was 3 to 4 grand more (nzd) at the time or tho i guess thats personal taste , .. and it doest take away the fact fd2r is a amazing R chassis at all with the k20a and box/lsd, body rigidity, bodystyling , breaking, etc
This guy seems to working hard on his channel and has 60k subs where as Adam C goes to car meets and watches cars drive by and has 400k subs ,iam i missing something here? no dig at either Adams.
Variety. Some channels get stuck on 1 or 2 marques and inevitably won't go anywhere as they are only appealing to a small proportion of enthusiasts. Unfortuantely this channel is stuck on Hondas and the odd BMW.

Here in Canada we have the exclusive Acura CSX which is actually the car this type r design was modelled after.
If you have an 8th gen it’s quite simple to to the headlight/taillight conversion

Should’ve never got rid of my Honda. True drivers car. Focus ST is nice but it doesn’t have soul like a k20.
Is this thing bone stock , or is it in any way modified ? Exhaust and intake sounds a little louder than I'd expect stock components to be , what tires and size are you using also if you don't mind ? Stock suspension or no?

Why on earth didnt honda sell this in the uk .. fn2 in comparisons just not in the same league
Apparently too track focused, which makes no sense as track specials sell well in the UK
Don't under estimate the fn2 very capable on track I've done many
