The Bismarck and HMS Hood staring each other down. Knowing the north sea isnt big enough for them both
Ok, this reference tho, fits hella good
Totally.
RIP HooD
One should stand
And one should fall
The Hood didn't have time to go back to the homies
Both commanding officers of each ship staring at each other thru binoculars
“It is time..”
As italian, Morricone is one of many things that makes me feel so proud of my country!!! Grazie Maestro!!!💚🤍❤️
Ennio in my mind is the best. He recognized the human voice is a beautiful instrument.
I grew up watching so many "spaghetti westerns". Thank you to Italy for gift of amazing cinema, and thank you Morricone for the unforgettable scores!
Ennio Morricone was a global treasure, a real Giant at his craft.
No one dares to say, he's a greater compositor than Mozzart. Italia gave the greatest musician of all time
Saluti dal Messico mio fratello italiano. Ennio Morricone è davvero un tesoro nazionale italiano!
Kirsty deserves an audience and a standing ovation for that performance. 👏👏👏👏
Unfortunately another casualty of the pandemic. That hall should have been packed for this performance.
@@markfort2798which one is kristy?
@@drake.707 the second hammer on 2:24... -_-
Take a wild guess.
@@megaloth1955the singing lady died from covid?
@@drake.707 I think he's saying that it's a victim of the pandemic because the theatre should normally be packed for performances, but it's empty because of covid
The Royal Marines killing it! Such a beautiful young woman with an amazing voice doing justice to a masterpiece
I agree, I love it that she has a whispy, fragile voice. I'll be playing this version tomorrow at my son's dad's funeral 😢 it's perfect as he loved Ennio Morricone
It brought tears to my eyes, so ethereal and moving.
Was beautiful and the English horn (alto oboe)'s solo in the beginning was also epic
Amen to that! a very talented young lady..best ive heard! Perfect pitch!
Yep I’m sure Afghan men love her too cheers
I had the privilege of attending a full Ennio Morricone concert. The maestro would be proud of this version.
I'm so gelous
Me too. My regards from California
I don't think so, because he hated the military, that should be clear to anyone who has seen this film, shouldn't it?
@@arminvoneckerberg8978 he would just love the music played and sang brilliantly
@@arminvoneckerberg8978 lol No. Even imagining he wrote the script.
Thank god, I can hear.
Thank god, the music exist.
Thank god, Ennio Morricone lived in this world with us.
When I am depressed this is something to take comfort in.
And God bless America and the troops.
The lead vocalist in this version is from another planet! It was impossible for me to hold back the tears this time. She deserve much more attention from this world.
You would lick toes of some sick fungus prostitute just to get laid.
Beautiful version, the vocalist is fantastic.Morricone himself would compliment you.
A bold statement, but I like her singing a lot, too.
⁰⁰⁰⁰
really
@the_bearded_schlub haha I thought the same thing
It's total sh8t. Search for the Danish orchestra version.
It's this musical piece that wrapped up The Good, The Bad and The Ugly movie. Extremely moving and exciting.
I don’t think a vocalist has ever made me cry. That was so incredibly beautiful.
Listen to the Danish National Orchestra's version. This version is great, but the Danish one is a masterpiece.
Listen to the Ennio morricone orchestra version. You'll hear a real soprano. This poor girl tries, but the part is out of her league
@@oldcuster3873 I agree, she hasn't got the skill. She scoops to each higher note, instead of hitting it directly. Listen to the original for the best technique. IMO.
@@jim9689 She sings in a military band not a world class orchestra🙄
@@oldcuster3873 She sings in a military band not a world class orchestra🙄
Can't help but get teary when her voice gets louder. This has got to be one of my top five favorite tracks.
'tallica rules man
I dream of a time when there will be no need for an army rather than to play beautiful and wonderful music, and countries only throwing notes and melodies at each other. Peace.
Is there anything our wonderful Marines cannot do successfully? This was fantastic. What a fabulous voice.
Not eat crayons
Wrong marines
@@samsmith6791 yep, wrong mari e
Ah yes. Brilliant. Spiffing. Lovely. Absolutely Marvelous.
The Marines are killers. And they killed it. Perfecto.
The voice sounded like a literal goddess descended from the heavens, incredible job from Kristy.
High praise indeed, where in your celestial domain do you then place Susanna Rigacci?
@@sheerluckholmes5468 The celestial domain without the mics.
try tuva semmingsen version
She bloody nailed that just awesome!
This is truly The Ecstasy of Gold.
I think this is the most beautiful voice I have ever heard
I'll agree sounds like heaven
you've probably never listened to Susanna rigacci
@@giovannivisentin1026 Or almost the original Edda dell'Orso
Ennio Morricone is a legend.
Powerful, as always. I have always loved The Ecstasy of Gold since I first heard it when i was a small boy watching The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly so long ago. Ennio Morricon is a legend. This young lady does it great justice, as does the entire band.
Same. I've always loved XTC too
I too loved it when I watched the movie almost 60 years ago...amazing
Played this at my dad's funeral. He grew up watching the great westerns. One of my all time favourite musical compositions. Touched with sadness now, but still invokes joy
Ok this comment made me misty.
Her voice gave me chills it was so beautiful. ❤
One of my all-time favorite pieces so I was surprised when she added extra harmony at the peak ( not in Morricone's original) ---HAPPILY surprised--gave me a new set of chills! Thank you!
Im sayin Shit hit my ears and the beauty was stunning
I just noticed that. She went left and it was alllll right.
i was reading the whole comment to see wether anyone else noticed it, that part, that specific part took me to heaven for a sec.
Ennio Morricone outdid himself producing this music for the movie, "The Good, The bad and the Ugly" and Kirsty performed it so well too.
Anybody else get chills?
I got shivers when she started her vocals.
Again her voice and personality are matched together. She is a beautiful singer
How do you know her personality?
MYYYYYY GOODNESS!
BdLCpl Kirsty Haines is very clearly an absolute TREASURE as a vocalist!
That's a wonderful rendition of that score... every bit as good, IF NOT BETTER, than the original!
Subjectively, I cannot agree on this version being better than original, but objectively I must confirm that the vocalist is outstanding!
Lol
That girl has an amazing voice.
She is an angel, guau, what a voice, felicitaciones y que voz por dios. Great performance
"guau", is that Spanish for "wow" ? 😆 That's a good juan.
Sie leben für ihre Musik, die Musik ist ihr Leben. Man sieht es ihnen an.
I am a Belarusian person, but I really like listening to the music of this orchestra.
Everything is very good!
Do Belarusians not like music?
In Belarus, music is illegal, how do you not know this?
BdLCpl Kirsty Haines has a beautiful voice! Brava!
Heard it once and got instantly addicted to this voice.
Greetings from Germany
Das Orchester ist Klasse und die Dame hat eine Stimme, wow!
My goodness, this Marine brought me tears.
she & the rest deserved an audience, amazing performance
Magnifique interprétation
When I watched The Good, the Bad and the Ugly a hundred times in a week 1990. I started to take note of this suspense track and thought it was very spectacular. Music can turn on feelings where words cannot express. Excellent rendition by this orchestra. The vocal is quite angelic.
It took you a hundred times to realize this song is VERY spectacular? Are you a little slow in the head? No wonder why you have difficulty expressing the way music makes you feel. You watched the "Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" a 100 times within the coarse of a week? That averages to be about 14 times a day. How the hell did you do that? The running time of the movie is 3 hours! WTF? You sound like a moron, Rockingman.
Maestro Morricone, we the lucky ones that lived with you these melodies. Unreachable greatness.
PARFAITEMENT MERVEILLEUX !! Enio forever.
Anyone else get goosebumps listening to this? Beautifully done.
Bdlcpl Kirsty Haines, beautiful voice ! 👏🇬🇧🇧🇪
Right up there with the version performed by the Danish National Symphony... Both versions are simply WOW WOW WOW!!! I must amend my initial statement a smidgen, this version is on par with that of the Danish National Symphony. That voice. OMG that voice is just one Marine, the Danish version is one lead vocalist with several backup voices... BRAVO young Marine, BRAVO!!!
I do not agree - it's good and she's doing very well, but comparing her to one of the absolute best sorpranos in the world is not fair.
You can't be serious. This is a much shortened version. The Danish National Symphony has substance and backbone and goes for 6 minutes. Will see if this has 85 million views in 3 years. Good voice but that's it . . .
@@thebops4180 because The Danish National Symphony version is actually two pieces one after another: The Good the Bad and the Ugly and Ecstasy of Gold
@@Null_Vampyrr that’s true! However between the DNSO’s singers and kristy here, I’ll go with the DNSO
@@Deltaflot1701 I the other way around. I'm sure Christine is a world class soprano, but the audio in that upload you barely hear her. Kristy you can hear over everything, no small feat.
ALWAYS get a chill down my back when the vocals kick in ...I wish I'd seen this movie at the cinema but it was an 18 and I was too young !!!This is a marvellous version of a marvellous piece of music 😊
They are all amazingly talented, but that woman's vocal parts were amazing. They did such a beautiful job.
SALUTE to H M Royal Marine Bands and the female vocalists!
From Chesapeake Bay Country, Maryland, USA
Shur throw in your post code too)))
Absolutely incredible version, the vocals obviously but the whole band. This piece of music has stuck with me since I was a kid and now many thousands of miles away and years later, my son has fallen in love with it after singing the movie for the first time recently. Cant wait to show it to him tomorrow and knowing it is by HM Royal Marines, all the better.
A stunning score done full justice by this beautiful lady. Edda Dell Orso would be proud.
Мне кажется, все, кто исполняет эту прекрасную музыку - прекрасные люди. Это как фейсконтроль.
its not like that. but probably everyone of them had make up put on.
Holy cow! Absolutely amazing voice.
That oboe gets me every time. This is an incredible performance. BdLCpl Haines' voice is phenomenal.
Actually it's an English Horn though similar to an Oboe.
@@leeadams5544 Oh, thank you so much for clarifying that. I just looked up the English horn and I noticed the bell-shaped end to it. Neat.
YAY SOMEONE TALKING ABR THE EPIC ENGLISH HORN SOLO (as an oboist and soon to be English hornist in a bit, it gives me chills of epicness whenever I hear this)
Wow! My jaw has dropped to the floor. That was simply magnificent. Bravo!!! I so enjoy these incredibly entertaining and often stirring musical posts. What talent! What beauty!! What dedication to country and craft!!! Sincere respect from across the pond.
Yeah, you just have to love it. A soprano with a British military band singing a piece written by an Italian about an American cultural mythology.
the best performance ever performed of The Ecstasy of Gold....Cpl Kirsty Hainer has an angelic soprano voice
What a terrific performance. Very moving!
Empty house also adds that extra level of natural reverb.
There are two kinds of people in this world my friends,
Those who like this music,
and those who dig.......
Kirsty Haines is the only person who even comes close to matching Edda Dell'Orso‘s legendary voice.
You Fucking RIGHT Man
May the memory of Maestro Ennio Morricone be a blessing. And may the hand of the Lord protects his soul.
Amen
Brividi.... Grande Maestro, grazie per le colonne sonore meravigliose.... ❤
Everyone did a great job but damn those vocals were just outstanding
I love this music and the way it was done was MAGNIFICENT! Wow, again, from the USA.
By far and wide, this is my favourite and one of the greatest renditions of this tune to ever grace our existence
Mein Gott ist schön was ihr macht liebe Grüße aus Cuxland
Only three things bring tears to these cold, robotic eyes; losing my dog, losing my cat, and this version of the song.
Besides memories, we take nothing to the grave; this song would be a fantastic farewell to this life. Heroic and proud is the way to go.
Hope you found your pets.
She is really awesome. What a voice
Mr Morricone would be proud of this rendition of his classic piece of work. It's a joy to listen to.
Even though morricone wasn't composing in this because he would pass away a year earlier he would be proud of this
Beautiful performance with the singing! 💙
A magnificent performance and truly professional musicians. Brittain must be very proud of the Royal Marines.
Il maestro MORRICONE RINGRAZIA.
Nice rendition of a classic which will be played a thousand years from now.
Wow her voice, so much control. Very cool performance🤩
So Beautiful Angel Voice.. what a great performance.. thank you Band.. Enjoy it
Always loved this song!
Godlike beauty! This is an expression, perhaps one of the clearest expressions, of the resplendent power of the human race. Yes, sadly, our greed guides us. But when the time finally comes to actually seize the treasure, do we really even need it anymore? Haven't we all, by that time, seen beyond the material? Aren't we all, by that time, treating with the eternal?
It's one thing to hear this played by a full on symphony orchestra and choir, but to hear the work put in here by military musos who can equally match down the street or command the parade square is awesome.
I just keep playing this over and over I'm so in love.
Same
Wow! What beautiful and amazing vocals Kirsty has!!! Absolutely gave me chills! ❤ 👏 Kudos to you!
Magnifique, sublime ! Bravo !
Semplicemente inimitabile e bellissima🇮🇹
Getting chills !
The best version of this ever!! Soloist is fantastic!! Best I've heard!!
it sounds like an angel singing
Absolutely amazing! The woman has a wonderful voice!,this is my favourite version now!
Try the Danish national orcestra`s verison too...
Absolutely brilliant .. Thank you Royal Marines.
This brings tears to my eyes.
Amazing performance. The only missing thing is the applause from audience.
This is probably the best vocalist I have heard since the original recording back in the 60s.
amazing vocalizing
That was absolutely incredible. Her voice, and the band just sent shivers down my back, and have got watery eyes now, which never happens when listening to music played so well. Would love to have heard this live. Thank you.
My FAVORITE performance of this classic gold Morricone! World class ensemble in a world class venue. Go Marines!
Here's to you, ENNIO. Complimenti per la magistrale interpretazione de
L' estasi dell' oro.
Stunning performance!
The God's have spoken 🙏 this is probably the one of the top 10 videos on RUclips that I've ever seen ♥️
How do you bring tears to my eyes every time I hear you
One of the most moving things I've ever heard and easily the most beautiful version of this theme I've heard. Forgot all the divas in shawls, Kirsty Haines understands it at a far deeper level. I'm speechless.
Love it. Give me chills to cry ❤️😭
Настолько красиво что мурашки по коже✨️✨️
Goosebumps on goosebumps 🥶Brilliant version ❤❤
