I cried so hard, Chloe was really the only person who stuck around for jack through thick and thin, here’s hoping jack survives and escapes the Russians in some future episode or in our hearts and minds.
Jack and Chloe share this emotionally spiritual cosmic connection. A relationship that was destined to happen and is destined to last. These two are like the same person and value one another more than life itself. Jack and Chloe are definitely the biggest will they/won't they duo in television since Mulder and Scully. Chloe is the absolute BEST for Jack! The saying goes "You don't know what you've got till you lose it". Jack's killing spree emotionally traumatized Chloe. The only way they could reconcile is to finally confess their love for one another. Chloe shooting Jack to save him was the ultimate act of her love for him. Jack sacrificing his freedom for Chloe's life was the ultimate act of his love for her. Chloe is, along with Jack's daughter Kim, the true love of his life. I think Jack finally realized it because this is the first time when he really faced the real possibility of losing her for good. No one will ever love and care about him the way she does. Jack exchanging himself for Chloe's freedom was the ultimate act of true love. If this doesn't prove to her that he loves her then i don't know what does. Jack was like he's never been more sure about anything else in his life. Jack and Chloe's love goes beyond anything that's normal or romantic. All those years of working together they developed an intense, deep and lasting bond that goes above Jack's family. They love each other more than life itself.
Poor Jack. He risks his life for saving his country every season and it always ends bad for him. To quote Ross in Friends, why do bad things happen to good people?
gary lyons in a way, what Heller said to him in CTU Holding was correct: “You’re cursed, Jack. Everything you touch, one way or another, ends up dead.” And later, at Heller’s home: “Getting your life back won’t change who you are, Jack. And you can’t stay away from it. You know that: you’ve tried it. Sooner or later you’re going to get back in the game...and my daughter’s going to pay the price...like your wife did.” What happens after that? Bill Buchanan...dead. Tony Almeida...bad. Omar Hassan...dead. Renee Walker...dead. Chloe...imprisoned, tortured, thankfully not killed. Audrey...dead. Life’s not fair...
0.53 He handed her something, probably a tracking device...They always keep endings open for continuation even when Keifer has disclosed he is not interested in pursuing it further which is in my opinion completely right decision given nature of stunts required and Kiefer touching 50 now
If they decide to bring 24 back for Day 10, they should have Jack tell the US to go to hell. All the BS he had to put up with & all the family & friends he lost.
i like to think that jack snuck a grenade in the chopper and pulled the pin. or he commandeered the helicopter. notice how the russians didn't check him?
+Tony Deakin it's definitely not right want happen at the end of days /8 9 to Kiefer Sutherland he's a super hero for ever since the very beginning he's all aways on and off 24 and the same with movies in life
I keep thinking, “if anything happens to her…” he really also means Audrey. I don’t know why that was my first instinctual thing to think about and to hold onto that…she was ok. I couldn’t believe yet what happened…. 😓
Jack/Chloé the best duo of the show. I never really like any of Jack girlfriend. Teri and Kate was ok. Renee was good in season 7 but I really don't like her in the 8. Audrey was so bad. I really don't forget her for lying to him during the season 5 for something so stupid like "when you were dead I had a date". Really she need to get a brain. The tv show should end with Jack and Chloé go in the run together. Not necessary at couple but defenitly together.
They didn't need to kill off Chloe's husband and son. I would have instead had Chloe been fired from CTU after Day 8 because she covered for Jack. Morris and Chloe then fell on hard times financially esp with their young son, so, Chloe did some less than legal work for hacking groups to make money. That's how she met Adrian Cross. The government eventually finds out and Morris is arrested because he won't rat on his wife and their son is taken away by Child Protective Services, so, Chloe goes on the run. Either that or Chloe flees the USA before the government can catch her, leaving Morris and Prescott behind. She decides to skip town to the UK to meet up with Adrian Cross, work for him, and continue making money to anonymously support her husband and son from afar. She goes through a mental health crisis without her family, hence the different appearance and the affair with Adrian Cross. You could even put an emotional scene in of Chloe watching Morris pick up Prescott from school when Chloe hacks into a local traffic cam from the UK.
I admit, season 8 had a better, more "close the book" series finale than LAD did, but that doesn't mean it's lazy writing. Jack sacrificed his freedom for Chloe and he's willing to endure God knows what kind of torture and interrogation in Russia.
@@mcs-bl6sg I don't agree. Remember season 6? Jack says that the only reason he survived being tortured for more than a year was because he wanted to die for something important. Jack couldn't go back anymore, he would endanger his family if he did. He can't live rest of his life running too, because that's not living. In the end, he got the best end he could ask for - dying for his closest friend. That's why he smiles. While he is going to be either killed or tortured or both, he is spiritually happier than he's been in years. That's one of the most well written endings to any show I've seen. So many TV series miss the mark either by playing it too safe or ruining what came before, 24 instead stuck the landing.
there should be 1 last movie or season of 24 where tony help jack to escape from the russians and both live in piece. thats what those characters deserve it
I cried so hard, Chloe was really the only person who stuck around for jack through thick and thin, here’s hoping jack survives and escapes the Russians in some future episode or in our hearts and minds.
Sean Callery’s music is always A+, and this is one of his best pieces in the entire series.

i like your quote. But i would argue that season 2 and perhaps 3 didnt really end to bad for him.
gary lyons please can u help me how to get the next episode

@@XTORD1 and the 6th too !

Mr Callery's music has a terrible habit of giving you lumps in your throat at the finales.
1:05, that's how you threaten someone
That was the last time the world saw Jack Bauer. So far..
When the season 10 come out now, we are waiting it
Jack kills everyone in the helicopter then flies to a secluded island
0.53 He handed her something, probably a tracking device...They always keep endings open for continuation even when Keifer has disclosed he is not interested in pursuing it further which is in my opinion completely right decision given nature of stunts required and Kiefer touching 50 now
Wrong, he can still do stunts, if Indiana Jones can come back at almost 80, keifer can still be Jack Bauer.
It should've ended in season 8
Why would he give her a tracking device? How would he be able to track her? How would that benifit him?
0:53
He didn't hand her nothing, he held her hand
See, I think the scene's end should have cut away to black and the clock just... stops. Or resets.
Any chance for another season?
If they decide to bring 24 back for Day 10, they should have Jack tell the US to go to hell. All the BS he had to put up with & all the family & friends he lost.

I don’t like like jacks ending to the series,he deserves much better than this.
Maybe someday he’ll get his proper ending
@@battlestar976 maybe even a novel could have an ending for jack
Jack's proper ending was in Day 8. Fox just couldn't let "24" go.
@@1223steffen they would be way easier and they could bring back dead actors but I don’t think they would end it like thay
Wish the Russian had just given up

Worst ending ever. 24 got so lazy. Sad.
The worst ending ever would be some just world where Jack lives happily ever after like all the fans were asking for.
