Love your choice of patterns, such lovely makes for summer. It was encouraging hearing you talk about sewing swimwear too. I have always found rtw difficult to find a good fit, so this was really helpful.❤
Thank you very much! ❤️ I really struggle with rtw swimwear too, it’s been so nice to be able to sew my own and get a better fit. Hope you enjoy it too if you decide to see some

Thanks again Cath. I have been trying to decide on a shorts pattern and I think you've sold the flints to me. Going to look for some of that floral linen viscose now!
Thanks Clair, hope you enjoy sewing the Flints, I’ve seen some lovely floral linen viscose fabric this season, will make amazing Flints!
Great vlog as always, Cath! You always give lots of brilliant details about the patterns. I wondered if in the future you might mention your height measurement, I think it might be useful when you discuss lengthening garments. (I’m so short I have to shorten all mine!)
Lovely clothes as always, such precise sewing! 😍
Thanks so much for watching. Oh yes good point, I’m 5’6, I’ll mention that going forward! ❤️
Love your video’s 💗

You always post such great patterns! I wish I could make them all, I don’t know how you find the time Cath…do you sleep ?
😄 thank you! I do sleep but when I’m awake I’m not very good at sitting still 😄
Hi Cath, wanted to say that I love your channel, it's for me so relaxing and such a pleasure to listen to you, love your accent and the way you speak smiling!😊 I'm a "brave" beginner, I started to take a sewing course in Germany, where I live, but because of the lockdown the course was stopped...
I watched also your Q&A video where you said that you - at the time - was sewing for just 18 months, which is incredible for the wonderful things you make! Therefore my question: how did you learn? Did you go to a course? Or rely on youtube and reading the instructions?
You are very inspiring, I hope your channel grows a lot, wish you all the best! Cheers from Germany!
Hi there, thanks so much for watching and for your lovely words 😊
I haven’t taken any sewing courses. I started with some straight forward patterns - pyjama bottoms, a couple of Tilly and the Buttons beginner patterns and a couple of easy sew big 4 patterns - and then went from there. I think I just gradually built up experience 😊
@@madebycathcraft Very inspiring! Thanks for answering and sharing your experience with us! All the best!
Thank you ☺️, really enjoyed the vlog. Question... on your Sew Over It patterns, do you lengthen the bodice at all? Love the play suit 🥰
Thank you for watching, I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I just checked and I lengthened the Penny bodice by 1 inch 😊💕
I lengthened the penny bodice by 1 1/2 inches I think, possibly 2 inches!
@@madebycathcraft thank you so much. Xx
The fabric you used with the playsuit with big flowers and spots looks really nice, what fabric did you use? Love your videos 🤗
Thank you very much 🥰 the playsuit fabric with the big flowers and spots is a cotton jersey
hi there it would be so nice if you can do sew along's i really wish for a coat video, keep well
Thank you so much Cath for your detailed instructions. I have never made anything for myself as I’m too afraid. I love your style and love to hear you, and your advice . I don’t know where to start but would love to. Any suggestions for a first make would be appreciated. I’m a size 10 approx. Thank you so much for your time and extremely wonderful and enjoyable RUclips channel. Thank you. Jennie/Sheffield UK.
Thanks so much for watching Jennie. When I started sewing I found Tilly and the Buttons patterns really good as they have some nice patterns aimed at beginners and their instructions really hold your hand through the sewing process. I tried their Cleo pinafore, Stevie top and Bettine dress early on. Also a friend of mine learnt to sew by working her way through Tilly’s beginner sewing book Love at First Stitch. I haven’t got that book but it might be an option as I think it has lots of information for starting sewing garments.
Your bikinis look wonderful, well done! You are very encouraging & inspiring 👍
Thank you very much!
