Guys wanna know something cool? The 17 round mag for the hellcat pro fits the regular hellcat. Take the grip space off the 15 round mag and put it onto the 17 round mag so there isn’t a gap.

It’s barely snappier than other micro 9s . This gun is not a range toy . It’s for concealed carry . It’s one of the smallest in its class with the most capacity. This is very capable at self defense range (3 yards) may never need to use it so the snappy-ness doesn’t even matter.

Exactly, for me personally the snappyness doesnt seem anything more than other micros.

    I love this video.
    Very informative.
I just ordered the same model you have. I want to use the 13 round mag, also.
You said, with the 13rd magazine. The height is the same as the Hellcat Pro.
I want to add a Hogue Handall Beavertail Grip Sleeve made for the (Hellcat PRO) off of Amazon.
But, I'm not sure if it will fit the smaller hellcat with the 13 round extended mag.
    What do you think?

Glad you found it useful! Another follower pointed this out to me about the 13 round mag, and corrected me, when the 15 round mag is in the hellcat it becomes the same height as the hellcat pro, the 13 is just a touch smaller. So for the hellcat micro models I find the 13 to be perfect for me personally, the 11 flush is too small for my big hands, and the pinky extension is good enough, but the 13 round is perfect, with the 15 a bit too big for a micro, but nice to have in case! Regarding the beavertail grip sleeve, YES it will fit your hellcat pro with the 13 OR the 15 round mag, the extended bit at the bottom will stick out regardless of you having a beavertail grip on it or not, the beaver tail grip will only come down to the base plate of the mag as if it was the factory magazine itself, so the 13 and 15 is the same for the grip, the grip just wont cover all the way down but you can throw it on for that added stability and grip increase! I had one for my Taurus G3c, and used 12 round mags and 15 round mags and it worked perfectly for either, same applies for the springfield hellcat, and pro!

One thing an "unboxing" doesn't show you is the super reliability against failures. After running a few thousand rounds through mine, over the last 3 yrs or so, it's been perfect, with any and all ammo I've fed it. I have the 11, 13 & 15 round mags for it. Super versatile. Amazingly durable. The Hellcat can handle lots of +P ammo too.

Yes, this is what I have heard from many owners of the Hellcat models, absolutely love this gun as well! I still have not ran into any issues either. A solid conceal carry firearm for sure.

The hellcat pro handles all ammo I’ve put through it as well. The whole Hellcat line is solid

when you put the 13 round magazine in, it is not the same length as the hellcat pro. If you put a 15 round magazine in then it is. you can’t use a 13 round mag and a hellcat pro.

Ah cool, thanks for the info, that makes more sense cause the 15 is a bit bigger.

    No safety?

    • @TheArmedNational

My particular model I chose was without a manual safety. You do have the option to select the Springfield Hellcat with or without a manual safety though if you prefer. I personally chose without a safety, because this is my main conceal carry self defense gun, and I personally prefer having less to deal with under a high stress situation with fastest reaction time from point of danger awareness to the point I can fire my gun, for me a safety adds about half a second or so to that response time, so I do not run safety on a lot of my guns for this reason. Nothing you can't drill down and practice yourself though from the draw with an added small thumb movement to turn safety out, I just personally did not want to have to worry about it. And as long as your finger is off the trigger until you are ready to shoot, the gun is perfectly ''safe'' as with a safety on it anyway.

Just a heads up the manual safety on the HC is great if you do go that route, TheArmedNational makes great points, no issue one way or the other, comes down to personal preference and training, but if you like a safety, the HC is nice because its extremely tactile and its pushed back compared to others like the 365 with a safety, meaning youre less likely to accidentally engage or disengage it, but its still extremely ergonomic to disarm on the draw.
