Thanks for the video! BTW TIP for anyone trying this - I had to try 3x before I got it right, you put your finger on the bottom right corner as soon as the status bar comes up - if you put it on while the printer is off (right before powering it on) OR while the screen is white immediately after powering on, it doesn't detect it. You have to wait until the status bar starts to show up - at least on mine.
Isn't that crap!? They had a link for more help and it was down. So they want to push you to pay for a phone call. Which is stupid. I did end up paying, and still don't even have the email to tell me how to get the phone call.
Thank you so much for the video. I was hoping it would resolve my issue, but sadly, it did not. I just purchased the very pricey HP genuine toner cartridges and installed them. There were no issues with the install. But when I go the print or copy utilizing any of them there is no color. I cannot locate any tabs that should be pulled out to release the toner on the cartridges. It just states to shake them a few times and install them. The supply printout shows the serial numbers of the cartridges and they were just installed. Can you offer any assistance with this please? I have the Laser Jet Pro MFP M281cdw. The toners are 202X The printer is over one year old and it is no longer under warranty
hello sir. I sell aftermarket toner cartridges and every time I get a new customer, they never stopped the firmware update, so the chips we use are no good. Hello! It is a settings issue or a driver/software issue. When printing make sure the 'Color' setting is set to color and not black. If that doesn't solve the issue you'll have to uninstall and reinstall the drivers/software. Make sure you use the 'Basic Drivers'. Keep me posted!

I have a Page Wide 477..after it updated a few days ago, it won’t even let me access the pre boot menu. It says to press Home Return Home Home then it freezes. How can you reset if unable to get to this menu? Will holding screen work for this model too?
Thats the first time of heard of this issue. Sounds like the mother board is failing since it's freezing. Have you tried the good ol turn off/unplug and wait 5 min, then plug back in and turn on?

@@cartridgeworldvestavia4481 the problem is not with the computer, its the printer itself. Once powered on it will start the booting process and the display the error 49 and start rebooting by itself. Multiple times until I physically shut it off.
We had issues with the black ink cartridge not being accepted for the printer, even though it was the correct one each time. We did the factory reset on it, and now were getting this 49 service error and it tells us to turn it off then on again. We've turned it off and on again many times and it still wont work. Any ideas? Hello! Your printer may have a firmware update that is preventing the use of 3rd party cartridges. I'll send you a link to attempt a reversal. Hello! I hate to say it but if the hard reset didn't fix the 59.9 error then it means a motor has failed. Fixing it will cost as much as a new printer. Sorry.

Hello. Sounds like you may have a sliver of paper stuck in the printer. Check the back of the printer. If you don't see anything then the printer could have a sensor failing which basically means the printer is done.

This Error 55.0602 indicates DC controller NVRAM access error. Turn the printer off, and on again and Reset the printer to factory settings. This is the ONLY way to fix this error!
Try this. Turn off the printer and unplug it. Let it sit for 2 min, plug back, turn on and try the procedure again. Sometimes it will take multiple attempts.

You need to take out the network cable as well during the reset procedure.

I did the reset and my printer still doesn't respond when I try to print. Any suggestions?
If you haven't already, try the reset a couple more times. If it doesn't work then you may have to use original Brother toner.
This worked for me but I had to uplug the printer from the outlet for about 30 minutes and the plug it back in to get the reset to work.

Hello! I hate to say it but if the hard reset didn't fix the 59.9 error then it means a motor has failed. Fixing it will cost as much as a new printer. Sorry.
