When I push home, left of home then right of home and the volume button it just goes to the volume screen. It's the same printer as yours.
After you press the volume button you must press the stop button (Red circle with upside down red triangle)

It did not work for me for the longest time. I tried like over 20 times. I left the printer came back to it tried it again it worked! I did the same thing that I was doing the first time. So stupid. very frustrating trying to do this combination.

Great video and explanation of the steps! My issue is I cannot find the application (either on the printer itself or driver on my Mac PC) to clean the print head? It shouldn’t be this difficult to locate. Thanks in advance!
This printer does not have a print head. Only inkjet printers have print heads that can be cleaned. Are you having quality issues?

I have a mf264dw Ii and after a power outage the printer gets stuck at a loading bar. I assume it's not able to boot. Tried everything
The power outage could have fried the cord. Try getting a new power cord and plug it directly into the wall socket.
It will not work for me. Unplugged and tried several times.. I was messing around and must have set a pin i cannot remember and i am stuck. Any advise?
Hello! I'm sorry you're having issues with the hard reset. Make sure when tapping the touchscreen you are applying firm pressure. What model number is your printer?
Like many in the comments, mine stops at the volume and doesn't allow the stop button to do anything. New printer, and about to toss it out the window. $300 for an eyesore on my desk. Has ANYONE found a solution to this? My display touch barely works, so the screen isn't likely to help. Is there a way to physically reset the machine?
Hello! Sorry for the delayed response. Make sure you are applying firm pressure when tapping the screen and volume button. What mode number is your printer?

This procedure does not work on my MF644CDW. This is a fairly new printer. I purchased it about 6 months ago. After pressing the Home, left of Home, right of Home, Volume, and Stop.. I am left looking at the Volume screen (It is not displaying the same volume screen as your printer. It displays the Fax volume.) The touchscreen stays on the Fax volume screen. It never changes to the Service Menu screen. I have tried gently pressing, firmly pressing, pressing slightly left-right of the hidden buttons. I get the same results.

Hello! It's odd that the hard reset doesn't work on the 644cdw since they are basically the same printer. My only suggestion would be to unplug the printer, wait 5 minutes and plug it back in and try the steps again.
boss may i ask....mine canon same as u...but today when i turn on...there's no display at panel screen.Can u tell why this happend,or can u tell how to fix this .tq
Hello! Sorry for the delayed response. If the display screen isn't turning on then the printer has failed. Try and plug it directly into a wall socket and let me know if the screen turns on.
My daughter broke my LCD screen. Canon replaced the printer. But i still have a fully functional printer, just with no screen. Is it viable to replace it? Use it remotely? I'd like to give it to my parents bc it's a great printer, seems a shame to just trash it.
Hello! Replacing the LCD screen would cost more in parts and labor than the printer itself. If it still prints well you can keep it as a 'print only' printer.

@@pippispins33 Unfortunately without the touch screen you wouldn't be able to have wireless functions. You can only hardwire it with a USB cord.

My Canon MF641Cw will not print the color red.
Hello! This could be caused by a handful of things. Most likely you are out of magenta toner. Did you download the correct drivers from the Canon website? Are you making sure you click 'color' when printing?
I have plenty of Magenta toner, 40%. Yes, the correct drivers are downloaded for this particular printer. Yes, the print setting are set to color. I have performed all of the maintenance task on it. I have hard reset the printer as per your instructional video, which I thought was very clear. Thanks for no background music. I only use Canon toner. Never have used anything else. It has always been kept in a clean environment.
@@waynebell3452 The only thing I can think of is the magenta toner has failed. Do you have a backup you can try?

same. It has sucked since the beginning. cannot print remotely, always disconnecting, wont show my wifi just issues nonstop
