Is there another way for hard reset? The button isn't working
Hello! This is the only way to perform the hard reset. Sometimes it will take multiple attempts for it to work.
My fdw will not print in color. It copies in color just fine. Cartridges are full and new. But wont print. Settings problem...Right? I cant figure out what setting is doing it. What should I do
Hello! It is a settings issue or a driver/software issue. When printing make sure the 'Color' setting is set to color and not black. If that doesn't solve the issue you'll have to uninstall and reinstall the drivers/software. Make sure you use the 'Basic Drivers'. Keep me posted!
@@cartridgeworldvestavia4481 hey I actually went in and noticed there were three printers all in the control panel for the same printer so I had it forget the one it was defaulted to and that took it over to the what I thought was standard printer and that worked. Thanks.

Thanks for explaining! I thought they'd be bigger in size. You could get a bigger cartridge for my old printer with black ink. I thought maybe that was the XL kind.

Try to turn it off from your computer/print screen. Go to 'More Settings' and make sure 'Two Sided' is unclicked.

Sounds like you have a defective motherboard. If you purchased the printer recently I suggest returning it where it was purchased for another or get a refund.

How do you remove and add printer cartridges?
Hello! All you have to do is open the front cover and remove the drum/toner. Press the green tab to remove the toner and put in the new one. See the link below which show how to reset the toner if it doesn't automatically recognize the new toner. ruclips.net/video/-9LkMZvD4Kw/видео.html

¿Está utilizando tóner remanufacturado? Si es así, es posible que este modelo no pueda utilizarlos. Es posible que tengas que utilizar tóner original de Brother.

This also works for the M281fdw. You need to take out the network cable as well during the reset procedure.
My daughter broke my LCD screen. Canon replaced the printer. But i still have a fully functional printer, just with no screen. Is it viable to replace it? Use it remotely? I'd like to give it to my parents bc it's a great printer, seems a shame to just trash it.
Hello! Replacing the LCD screen would cost more in parts and labor than the printer itself. If it still prints well you can keep it as a 'print only' printer.

@@pippispins33 Unfortunately without the touch screen you wouldn't be able to have wireless functions. You can only hardwire it with a USB cord.

I get to screen with color and up button will not work
Hello! Make sure you firmly press the buttons and quickly press the back button. Sometimes you have to unplug the printer and try again.
Mine will not reset.
Mine won’t let me push the up to reset, I have 2x printers like this now that I have reset previously and now they down allow. Is there a fix?
Turn off the printer and unplug. Let it sit for 5 min. then plug it back in. Try the reset procedure again.

If your printer already has the firmware update then this process will not work to restore the ability to use non hp ink cartridges. Click the link to help you go back to the old firmware. While a competitor of mine this always works for me. Thanks for the video. This used to work from iPhone and iPad on the same WiFi, but yesterday trying to print from an older mac I started getting the message [ Brother HL-L3270CDW The printer is busy. ] The printer still works from a USB computer but nothing wireless either “WiFi direct” or tcpip through router network. I’ve rebooted everything and still get the same messages. I even have a cat5 into the router setup. It’s like something is stuck in a queue but I don’t know where to look.

Mine is not showing Accepted on any of my cartridges.... it says no toner. I was printing this morning and it stopped midway and refuses to work anymore... very unrelyable this printer I absolutely hate it...and it wasn't cheap either!!!!!

Unfortunately, after my reset of the printer to factory settings, I am still getting an error message regarding compatibility of my toner cartridges (Indicated cartridge locked for containing a non-HP chip). Is there anything that can be done to correct this. The printer has worked for years and now all of a sudden I’m having compatibility issues. I’ve used the same toner for years
Unfortunately the factory reset will not fix the toner message. Your printer has received a firmware update from HP which blocks all non HP toners.
