I LOVE EVERY SINGLE textile in this kit ! I’m getting the pink ! How you have chosen each and every item is so unique and cohesive ! I’m so excited!! Second time I’ve watched this video !! Thank you so very much for the time in creating the kits and for the time you took to create the tutorial as a great starting point. As a novice (embroidery and slow stitch / hand sewing person who loves to sew anything even paper I’m so excited to create this cover for myself ( along with the other I don’t even know how many anymore 🐿️🐿️🐿️ haha 😂 but, no matter I love working on all of my different projects ( I just get a bit obsessed with stitching it’s so wonderful that this art has been incorporated in to the hand made journal world and most importantly back in to our times - Especially with the way “today” has become as compared to the “dear dead days beyond recall” as my sweet mom in law always would say - She taught me so much about living a simple slow - not so hurried life. I try hard to be still - she loved to read and completely enjoyed every kind of hand stitching , embroidery, cross stitching, needlepoint, knitting , she even made the most beautiful rugs ( rug tufting ) So sorry I carried on ! I am so enamored by this project! Well done fabulous video and gorgeous digital collection as well xx enjoy your weekend ahead my dear friend xx I think of her
@@TheJournalCottage Aw, yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed my video! It's so true slow stitching is so special. There's something so meditative about slowing down and just enjoying the process. And I just love how we can incorporate stitching into our journals. I wonder how many people thought hand stitching would disappear with the sewing machine invention, yet here we are going back to it and I am here for it! 🥰🥰 Thank you my friend for dropping by and for your kind comments. I always love to hearing from you. You have a wonderful weekend too. 💗
Lydia… thank you for this video. I love artists who truly share …so giving of you to let us know alternatives, etc. Thank you so much. Headed over to your Etsy. ❤
It’s so awesome Lidia!!! I need to get back into sewing, it’s been too long! I made all of my daughter’s clothes from birth to about age 11 (dresses) and I sewed her entire nursery with Peter Rabbit fabrics, it was so cute!! My grandmother on my father’s side did the same for me and I loved it when she showed me how to use her Singer from the 1940’s (which I now have as a keepsake) and learned to sew on it, such special amazing memories, now just where to fit this part of my creative art in, LOL!!! Loved your video, so inpsiring sweetie! xoxo
Wow!! I didn't know you did that much sewing! I have always wanted to see for my kids, especially my daughter but just never got to it. I love that you sewed your baby bedding and your daughter's clothes! That sounds like so much fun! I can't wait to see how you incorporate sewing into your journals! Thank you so much, Meredith! 💗💗💗💗
@@RaindropLila7 LOL!! Yes, I kind of deeply immersed myself! Now I need to find a way to start incorporating it into some projects, just not sure where to start... 😅
Was just watching you stitch & you were struggling to pull the needle through the tuff spots...I. aust we ha v. A thing called anti slip.mat & I cut off a little &use it to grip &.pull the needle through , it helps sooo..much. I hope you have it there 🩷
@@jillmartin1363 Thank you! I can't believe how much I struggled with it when I was filming! I never had a problem before but I think the heat was really making the needle so slippery. I will definitely looking for the matt!
I just used any needles I had on hand but my friend Cheryl just recommended these ones and I just ordered them. I can't wait to try them out! a.co/d/dhd5SSc
