The 117 is a lot of fun. I have a 2022 Lowrider S and from low to high RPM the bike pulls. At 70 mph in 5th you twist the throttle to pass someone and you're at 85 mph very quickly. And you can cruise along at 70 mph the bike is riding very smooth with no sense of needing to shift to 6th.

My first Breakout was a 2016 CVO Pro Street, and that was a fantastic motorcycle. A couple weeks ago, I purchased the 2023 Breakout, and I must say I do like my 2023 quite a bit better. I love how nimble, and smooth, and that motor is amazingly strong. No regrets here..

Meg you do make a great Camera Woman. The new break out looks great paint works chrome and all. The rake out too. All rake outs look great. Camera Man would know what he likes and what is best for him. If you can not trade now make due with what you have now and fix her up and maintain them bikes very well now. Nice video and keep up the good work. I will keep following. Ride Safe all of you.

Mike, I just came off of my 2013 Electra Glide with the 103 and purchased my 2022 Street Bob with the 114. I no longer have the tour pack, which somewhere, sometime I will probably miss it , but the power makes up for it. At 71n years old, and this Harley is my fifth and final ride. However, I have been told to never say never ! The Electra Glide did me right in around Sturgis this past year, but !!!! OH the POWER! Enjoy!

Sure you can get a tourpak to fit. My 2021 lowrider s has detachable one fitted from the HD catalogue doesn't state it will fit but it does work with the detachable kit for saddle bags.

I always rode with the ole brain bucket but the past couple years have been all about full face… safer and excellent in the cold. Took a little bit to get used to but now I have 5...
2 Scorpion HX1’s (because they’re perfect) a Bell Bullitt (Harley edition) a Bell Race Star and a Biltwell Gringo, along with a Custom 500 and a few half helmets for that summer heat.
Love the 48… I think it’s such a nice classic looking bike and a fun bar hopper. Such a cool Harley starter bike.

Part of the reason for the bike being “more nimble” is that the rider pegs have been raised from the first generation Breakout. There is another 3 degrees of lean. I had a 2014 which is basically the same as his 2017 and that was one of my biggest complaints. No lean = no fun! Also, the lack of vibration with the Milwaukee 8 would be a huge factor on this bike!

😎. There's nothing like the Wide Glide with 12 in apes and forward heel rest imo. I have rode a couple breakouts. Even the CVO both with 19 in and 21 inch front tires. Have not rode the new 23 model but the main thing I hear is they don't like the wide front tire It should be a size smaller. Good video.

Thanks Cameraman & Meg for this video. I just bought a 2003 Fat Boy sight unseen with only 789 miles on it. It's the silver and black Anniversary Edition. I hope I can get used to the front tire, Meg, after your comment. I'm 230 lb. 5'10." I have owned a Sportster and a Low Rider back in the late 70's early 80's. Thought I better get another Harley before the good Lord comes to take me away. I'll be 75 in April. Yikes.

I'm subscribing after this comment. Next spring I'm looking to buy a 2019-2020 Harley-Davidson Softail Low Rider 107 & then doing a Screamin' Eagle Stage 3 kit on it. I do like the Low Rider S, but for me personally, I prefer the old school classic Harley look with the chrome versus the dark Low Rider S. Just my preference. My father owned a 2007 H-D CVO Screamin' Eagle Dyna 110... What a machine that was! Safe travels 🍻

Mike build your 103 man, my mechanic here in pa built a 103 to a 117, twin cam, and it made 150 tq on the dyno. Cams, ported heads, compression, hpi throttle body, 2 into 1 pipe....that stock 103 will become a beast and you could do that for 10-15g instead of spending 30g on a new bike...also uncan put a baker 6 speed trans in your bike......and trust me, a built twin cam sounds like a beast....

    Got a 2017 breakout, 103.
Even that launches, the fat rear tires make a difference. It's nice having a few bikes if that's an option.. buy a breakout and get an old sporty an ironhead they're easy to customize and much more nimble than the breakout. Find my break is great in straight lines but Its so low and.long, you don't have a lot of room to lean if taking curves aggressively. ..sporties are alot of fun.

She was so happy with A’s in high school, but was thrilled when she got C’s in college.

I got straight A’s in college and law school. I’ve never been below a C in the other department since I was 14. ✌🏻

I have no issues with trading in bikes every few years but on every harley I've owned I change the bars, pipes, air filter and tuner on each. about 2K to get it like I want. That's me though.

Maybe I'm biased, but having moved from H-D to a 2022 BMW R1250RT, there's no looking back. It would be interesting if you shifted gears and gave the "other" guys a look. Regardless, I enjoy your channel and rides.
