Woodturning - A Stunning Coloured Bud Vase | Sycamore Blank Transformation

Join me in this mesmerizing woodturning journey as I transform a simple sycamore blank into a vibrant colored bud vase. Using Easy Wood Tools from their mid-size range, equipped with standard rake cutters, I shape the blank with precision. The process continues with meticulous sanding, courtesy of Klingspor Abrasives, progressing from 120 to 600 grit for a smooth finish.
To enhance the beauty and durability of the vase, I apply Hampshire Sheen Pre-thinned Sanding Sealer, building up three coats for optimal protection. Next, I elevate the aesthetics with Hampshire Sheen Professional Black Gloss Lacquer, adding depth and richness to the piece.
But the true magic happens with the application of Shifters paint from their Stardust range, infusing the vase with captivating hues and shimmer. Finally, I seal the masterpiece with six coats of Hampshire Sheen's Pro Glass Lacquer, ensuring a glossy and long-lasting finish.
