What this could mean instead is the possibility that he discovered the Gaia Manuscripts in place of the Flame of Solaris, leading him to founding out about Dark Gaia and beginning the events of Unleashed. During that time of preparation, Sonic Rivals 1 and 2 could have taken place somewhere in between since the villain of those games was Eggman Nega and not actually Eggman and those games would still serve as an explanation of how Sonic and Silver still know each other.

Chaos emeralds aren't normal, a giant floating island is not normal, the chaos emeralds literally transforms emotions into power, so having a message told in desperation by a father to his unconcious daughter and she remembers it, does not seem so unreal to me. Have you actually played the game or did you just watch the Game Grumps talk over it?

He doesn't utter a word or even show shock in his face; he only closes his eyes and remains stoic and silent as if in resignation, as if seeing death was something all too familar to him. 6:50 Then when Amy starts crying, he turns away while everyone else just hangs their heads, as if witnessing this open display of grief was too uncomfortable for him. These little animation details are subtle but effective, and I love how they capture Shadow's personality and show he's the kind of person who would likely be awkward at funerals, neither able to join in on openly sharing grief with others nor able to offer comfort to those grieving around him.
Imagine it for a second. An alternate timeline where Sonic Team didn't split to develop Secret Rings as well as delaying this game to 2007/2008 to polish it instead of rushing it for a holiday 2006 release date. This game is praised as one of, if not the greatest and most memorable sonic game of all time and the entire franchise is different from how it is now due to Sonic's reputation being boosted by this game instead of ruined by it. We'd still have multiple playable characters in mainline Sonic games because everyone loves Sonic's friends and weren't clamoring for them to go away, and the adventure formula is still the go-to for 3D Sonic games. Now, with all of this, 16:50 imagine how iconic this final shot of Sonic looking up at the moon as Elise's feather flies off would be. Thoughts like this genuinely make me believe we're living in the worst timeline for Sonic. I'm so glad that ChaosX is showing us what could've been with P-06 and I can't wait for it to be completed.

This is by far Super Sonic’s best feat in the games. On his own, he is powerful enough to defeat Solaris in the present, while Shadow and Silver defeat Solaris in the past and future.
The only useful thing that Elise did in the whole game was reviving Sonic (not even in the way I expected) and erasing Solaris forever (even if the consequences were eliminating the events) (Also I love how Shadow looked that he wanted to cry by seeing Sonic dead)
the saddest thing was seeing sonic defeated and seeing tails sad about losing his big brother and even sadder seeing poor Amy heartbroken and crying but I was happy when sonic was brought back to life

Man, the nostalgia I get from this is just unveliabvle because I watched this like 5 years ago when I was kid and uh I just remember how action packed and cool it was.
Here's how the finale should have go in my eyes. Blaze's body appears dead by Sonic (since they're in the time space rift) so Silver can be by her side. Everyone spread out to find the emeralds, put Sonic and Blaze around the emeralds, have Elise (yes I'm having her in this, and I do think she's a good character personality wise) shout the plea to the emeralds, Amy and Silver do the kissing on Sonic and Blaze (since we know how they feel for each other). And Sonic, Shadow, Silver, AND Blaze fight Solaris. They defeat Solaris, restored time, Sonic and Elise put out the flames (and doesn't add the out of no where reset) and end the curse of the flames. Sonic and friends continue their adventures, Elise becomes a strong queen for her nation (and never kiss Sonic) Sonic watches the re-celebrated festival and looks at the moon. Sounds good?
I never played 06 and I plan to play P-06 at some point. But I come here from time to time because I just love how the characters react to the discovery of what happened to Sonic. Knuckles is, as someone else said, in complete denial over the thing. He simply cannot accept how his friend got taken away from him like that. Tails is in disbelief, pretty much the same as Knux, unable to believe what he’s seeing This is one of very few occasions where we see Rouge genuinely sad about something Silver feels guilty for how he got toyed by Mephiles and he’s the one who has to actually get credit for Sonic being alive again since IT WAS HIS IDEA. The guy canonically gave us Sonic back and all the games we had until now and he’s not getting recognition for it. Omega probably doesn’t give a fuck but still respects the others’s grief Eggman also sounds sorry about Sonic. But it’s probably due to the fact that he realizes he’s fucked as well if Solaris doesn’t get beaten Shadow is absolutely incredible. He tries his best not to get involved in the situation but you can tell he’s shattered inside. He knows how losing someone close feels like and Sonic would be the second important person he would lose in his life. And he simply cannot cope with that, even if he doesn’t make it look like that. But the best one is Amy, hands down. I’m heartbroken over her reaction. Everyone is obviously sad with Sonic’s death, but Amy sounds and looks absolutely broken inside. Shows how much she loves him and how genuine her feelings for him are. Poor girl pretty much lost her whole world, her crying just makes everyone look away and no one even dares comforting her, probably on the basis that only she can understand the pain she’s feeling

This is kind of a random observation, but I noticed in this game that there are 2 full-motion CG renders for Sonic and Elise; a trait that I think is unique to them. The ones that are used in almost every FMV can be seen here for comparison: 13:35. Sonic looks fine, but some of Elise's facial animations look unnatural. In the scene right after (at 15:18), we get to see the other renders for them. Sonic has more complex texturing and geometry, most noticeable on his quills, but overall he still looks about the same. Elise, on the other hand, looks dramatically superior to her other render; almost on par with post-2010 CG Disney characters. But we only see them in the very first and very last scenes of the game-yet another thing showing how different this game could have been if it were finished.

She's a princess? Like, it's still totally realistic for a human being not to cry at all, but someone who has every one of their needs and wants catered to at every whim has a much lower chance of crying than anyone else. And she probably had some kickass therapists to help her through her father's death, and her father's last words were telling her to never ever cry and to be strong so she was probably trying really hard to honor him, and she's the type of idiot who upon being faced with erasing large chunks of history and losing the memory of the apparent love of her life, would take Sonic's dumbass advice of "Just smile." as legitimate comfort. It's Sonic 06, man. As for her eyes being dry, the tears probably have to leave her eyeballs to count as crying.
Okay so here's what I got, Crystal man kills blue man, absorbs all crystals, everyone gets blind and gets teleported to the same place, seeing a dead blue man corpse there, woman says something random and kisses the corpse, she gets rabies, blue guy is now yellow guy and turns 2 people yellow too, but then doesn't give a shit about everyone else. Bla bla, blows fire away, bla bla, and now USELESS CREDITS.
the ending has to be the most bittersweet endings of all time. Its extremely happy but extremely sad that somebody who knows nothing about the game will look at the ending and think its only happiness.
I’m slightly ashamed to admit that this game, even beyond the glitches, was just fundamentally flawed in so many ways, from strange cutscene animation and hit-or-miss voice acting to plot holes and a number of questionable writing decisions. What I also see here, though, is a game that truly wanted and really tried to be so much more than what we ended up with… a game that, if it was just given more time and perhaps a writing tweak or two, could very well have succeeded in being Adventure 3. ChaosX knew that, and his efforts on P06 are marvelous, even if he can’t exactly fix everything. Maybe someone’ll do a full remake one day, who knows. But for now… all we can do is carry on
OK so hear me out.... I know the kiss shouldn't have happened, like at all, but it did. And even though it shouldn't have happened I have to admit the scene in it's entirety (EVEN THOUGH IT'S WEIRD AND FUCKED UP) is both visibly and audibly beautiful. When she kisses him (YES ITS STILL WRONG AND I'M NOT CONDONING THAT PART) the way the screen fills with white light and then fades back out to him slowly descending to the floor in his super state with the soft orchestral cover of His World in the background is extremely well done. Then the way she just helplessly collapses in front of him with that look of tired relief/desperation on her face was kinda emotionally tugging and honestly could've still worked with them being JUST friends instead of romantically involved in whatever weird way that was had the story been written that way. I'm just sayin as far as the timing with the animation, CGI, and music this scene was amazing it was just ultimately tainted by....ya know...

I never played 06 and I plan to play P-06 at some point. But I come here from time to time because I just love how the characters react to the discovery of what happened to Sonic.
Knuckles is, as someone else said, in complete denial over the thing. He simply cannot accept how his friend got taken away from him like that.
Tails is in disbelief, pretty much the same as Knux, unable to believe what he’s seeing
This is one of very few occasions where we see Rouge genuinely sad about something
Silver feels guilty for how he got toyed by Mephiles and he’s the one who has to actually get credit for Sonic being alive again since IT WAS HIS IDEA. The guy canonically gave us Sonic back and all the games we had until now and he’s not getting recognition for it.

Eggman also sounds sorry about Sonic. But it’s probably due to the fact that he realizes he’s fucked as well if Solaris doesn’t get beaten
Shadow is absolutely incredible. He tries his best not to get involved in the situation but you can tell he’s shattered inside. He knows how losing someone close feels like and Sonic would be the second important person he would lose in his life. And he simply cannot cope with that, even if he doesn’t make it look like that.
But the best one is Amy, hands down.
I’m heartbroken over her reaction. Everyone is obviously sad with Sonic’s death, but Amy sounds and looks absolutely broken inside. Shows how much she loves him and how genuine her feelings for him are. Poor girl pretty much lost her whole world, her crying just makes everyone look away and no one even dares comforting her, probably on the basis that only she can understand the pain she’s feeling
This shit made me cry when I was younger. But I loved it at the same time so I kept watching it.

Hey I enjoyed the game as well and didn't know it was a bad game to most until I started reading comments about it online. Like what you want to like and don't let others change your opinion on that. Unless you were joking, then still take what I said to heart.

Look at Rouges face and tell me she doesn’t want to disappear off the face of the earth.
This is kind of a random observation, but I noticed in this game that there are 2 full-motion CG renders for Sonic and Elise; a trait that I think is unique to them. The ones that are used in almost every FMV can be seen here for comparison: 13:35. Sonic looks fine, but some of Elise's facial animations look unnatural. In the scene right after (at 15:18), we get to see the other renders for them. Sonic has more complex texturing and geometry, most noticeable on his quills, but overall he still looks about the same. Elise, on the other hand, looks dramatically superior to her other render; almost on par with post-2010 CG Disney characters. But we only see them in the very first and very last scenes of the game-yet another thing showing how different this game could have been if it were finished.

She's a princess? Like, it's still totally realistic for a human being not to cry at all, but someone who has every one of their needs and wants catered to at every whim has a much lower chance of crying than anyone else. And she probably had some kickass therapists to help her through her father's death, and her father's last words were telling her to never ever cry and to be strong so she was probably trying really hard to honor him, and she's the type of idiot who upon being faced with erasing large chunks of history and losing the memory of the apparent love of her life, would take Sonic's dumbass advice of "Just smile." as legitimate comfort. It's Sonic 06, man. As for her eyes being dry, the tears probably have to leave her eyeballs to count as crying.
That's why the script is broken.

Okay so here's what I got, Crystal man kills blue man, absorbs all crystals, everyone gets blind and gets teleported to the same place, seeing a dead blue man corpse there, woman says something random and kisses the corpse, she gets rabies, blue guy is now yellow guy and turns 2 people yellow too, but then doesn't give a shit about everyone else. Bla bla, blows fire away, bla bla, and now
USELESS CREDITS.
the ending has to be the most bittersweet endings of all time. Its extremely happy but extremely sad that somebody who knows nothing about the game will look at the ending and think its only happiness.
I’m slightly ashamed to admit that this game, even beyond the glitches, was just fundamentally flawed in so many ways, from strange cutscene animation and hit-or-miss voice acting to plot holes and a number of questionable writing decisions.
What I also see here, though, is a game that truly wanted and really tried to be so much more than what we ended up with… a game that, if it was just given more time and perhaps a writing tweak or two, could very well have succeeded in being Adventure 3. ChaosX knew that, and his efforts on P06 are marvelous, even if he can’t exactly fix everything.
Maybe someone’ll do a full remake one day, who knows. But for now… all we can do is carry on

OK so hear me out....
I know the kiss shouldn't have happened, like at all, but it did. And even though it shouldn't have happened I have to admit the scene in it's entirety (EVEN THOUGH IT'S WEIRD AND FUCKED UP) is both visibly and audibly beautiful. When she kisses him (YES ITS STILL WRONG AND I'M NOT CONDONING THAT PART) the way the screen fills with white light and then fades back out to him slowly descending to the floor in his super state with the soft orchestral cover of His World in the background is extremely well done. Then the way she just helplessly collapses in front of him with that look of tired relief/desperation on her face was kinda emotionally tugging and honestly could've still worked with them being JUST friends instead of romantically involved in whatever weird way that was had the story been written that way. I'm just sayin as far as the timing with the animation, CGI, and music this scene was amazing it was just ultimately tainted by....ya know...

Some of it was good, but most of it was pretty bad
when sonic freaking DIED, just listen to knuckles and when elise also dies (wow lots of death), sonic screams "ELISE!!" in the most non emotional way ever. But not every line was pure trash, i'll agree there
