Just move to Australia, plenty of maternity leave available it’s actually LAW!
"It's okay. I believe him."
One of the most badass lines ever
Not only is Troy Baker a good voice actor, he’s also a very well good actor. So happy he was part of this show, even if it was for one episode.
when i saw him i was like noo wayyy😹
I like hearing his analysis of his character, about how James is a pragmatist trying to survive and views David as a devil and "better be with the devil then against him." Or how in the opening scene, the director said his character was supposed to pray with everyone else and he said, "No, James doesn't buy any of David's bullshit, he just goes along with it for the sake of everyone else."
Props to Scott Shepherd, who played David. His calm, understated performance made the character even more sinister. And, of course, Bella's performance. Saying it was incredible doesn't do it justice.
Dude, ya'll are gonna be the coolest parents!! Congrats!
Awwwww omg congrats on the pregnancy, Madison!! You and Christian will make amazing parents. So happy and excited for you two 😊💕💖
This episode was written really well but the delivery was perfection. Bella Ramsey deserves every award that I’m 100% certain she will get when that season comes around. She has poured her heart and soul into Ellie, and this latest episode really solidified that for me, personally.
Congratulations by the way! 😊
Joel calling her "baby girl" made me tear up!
btw... congrats, you 2!
MAC: Easiest shooting day for Pedro
20 min later: punching and stabbing and clubbing people, trudging through snow while prop people blast a wind machine in his face 😂😂😂
Congrats on your baby!💙💙🎉
Sending lots of love from Italy 💙💙💙
I recently lost my little boy goofy over a month ago i was breaking down crying while watching this video when you announced your having a kid it lifted my spirits congrats guys
I'm really sorry for your baby and I hope you doing okay 🌼🕊️
My deepest condolences for the loss of your son ❤
Congratulations! I'm so happy for the two of you. This is wonderful news!
My biggest contribution to this list, as a former teacher, and a great lover of books. Is to tell you that you should definitely get a library card if you don't already have one, and you should go and get as many books as you can every single week and read aloud all the time.
As many books as you can, showing them to be as joyful as an experience as they can possibly be a shared wonderful time between you both, doing voices being expressive. It's all wonderful.
I remember when I was teaching little 3-year-olds, and one little girl came in with her little golden book of the Empire strikes Back, she had completely memorized what her father did for each page, tones of voice gestures, every single word, correct. When that little child looked around the circle in dead seriousness and met everybody's eyes and told them" size matters not." Well, every adult and earshot just about lost their minds with love and nerdy delight.
But truly, if you haven't read children's books in a while, you're going to be blown away by how many beautiful ones there are out there. Yes there are the classics, but really and truly some of the finest books out there are some of the newest, there's so much more diversity and love and self-empowerment going on in children's books these days, and I ran into copyright issues when I used to have my channel filled with my story books, and my ADHD/ anxiety tends to get in the way of me overcoming those obstacles, so all my videos are on private right now.
But if I can find a way to share them with you, I have some very nice recommendations for great books to read aloud.
And often, it doesn't matter if they're too advanced. It's the rhythm of your voice. You're enjoyment the telling of a story, the emotions you put into it everything. Okay, I'm I'm using voice to text which means I'm probably rambling, and I can't really do anything right now because my wrist is sore. So I'm laying here and just talking to you, in my joyful excitement at your good news.
Okay, I'm going to stop now, but the offer stands if I can find a way to share my videos with you personally, since I don't know how to work past the whole copyright thing having them public, I'm happy to do so.
Love and light to you two!
I would say more than anything, reading to your children and then getting them to read with you is certainly the way to jumpstart their education. It may even translate into a higher IQ, as well. My mom had read to me when I was young. I grew up to have an affinity for words and literature. I would sometimes read entire books in mere hours. I write, as a hobby. Lyrics, poems, stories... It would seem there a theme. It's good to inspire such interest. It must also be said that their interests in scholastic endeavors should always supported. It prevents feeling limited in their exploration of self, thusly allowing them to excel at what they're truly passionate about. I kind of missed out on the latter part, unfortunately. I'm just smart dumbass working in a factory. 137 IQ to have no true calling in my life except for the loved ones within it. Don't get me wrong; I love my family! I just wish I was doing more on a larger scale because I'm quite certain I could. At least achieve fucking mayoral status. That's little league to my desired capacity towards positive impact upon humanity. Heh. I digress. 😖
congratulations on the baby and everything! Ik both of yall would be lovely parents. can't wait to hear more
Every line of David's in the final confrontation seems designed to top his previous line in creepiness. In particular, that line of "You don't know how good I am!" made me go, "Please tell me he is not bragging about his sexual prowess to a not even 15-year old." And then seconds later, I was like, "Oh yuck, he totally is."
OMG! Congratulations both of you! Life changing experience you are on, first experience is always scary but remember you are always learning.
I really appreciate your feedback on the episodes and your perspectives. You catch a lot of the nuances of the emotional intelligence in the story and it’s refreshing to see a reaction from that place!
first of all CONGRATS FOR HAVING A BABY SOON! also when joel called ellie 'baby girl' it broke mEEE
Joel has finally opened his heart and accepted Ellie as his daughter, and will do anything he can to protect her from now on, so prepare for incredible violence
Congratulations! My wife and I had our first baby, a beautiful baby girl, almost 6 months ago. The first 3 months for us were pure survival mode. You’re learning and youre not going to get everything right, but you’ll learn quick. The last three months have flown by and you won’t believe how far your baby has come. Savor every minute!
You probably already know from previous comments, but James is really the game's Joel (voice and motion capture). But it's cool that they found some roles in the series for the actors who took part in creating the game.
The actor who played David, although creepy, is a brilliant theatre stage actor who performed/narrated the entire The Great Gatsby novel by memory.
Massive congratulations guys welcome to the parents club! Its awesome you guys are gonna be great 😍 I have a 3 and a 1 year old. Being nerdy parents is the best ❤️
OHMYGOD CONGRATULATIONS ON THE BABY SENDING SO MUCH LOVE !!
awwww congratulations!!! i’m so happy for y’all! Madison has the best reactions, her facial expressions are everything. this episode had every single inch of my body tensed up and all i could think about is how joel & ellie did all of that on an empty stomach😅😂
Congrats on the baby. Lucky kid. Absolutely love your reaction videos.
The actress who voiced Marlene in the game also played her on the show.
"NO never throw your weapon! .... oh... okay maybe if its on fire you can throw it" 😂😂
OMG what great news!! Congrats on the baby!!
Congratulations on your baby!❤️ being a parent can be hard but I know you guys can do it! Just have each others back and you’ll do great! Super excited and love you guys and keep up the awesome work 🫵😀

Congratulations on your first baby!! I’m 33 weeks pregnant with my 4th baby. You guys will be the coolest parents. ❤
Aww, congrats guys ! Wonderful news about the little one on the way (MAC Jr. ? MAC-ling ? :).
(and FWIW it seems crazy to this unAmerican that maternity leave isn't guaranteed - where I am up to 26 weeks paid leave is standard with paternity leave also available, albeit only usually 1-2 weeks)
((great reaction too BTW. Seeing both Joel and Ellie in full-on beast mode was a thing to behold))
Madison also got her penicillin shot on her left arm just to support Joel. What a fan!
Congrats to both of you! You're gonna be awesome parents!
Regarding this episode, cannot emphasise enough how much Bella Ramsey deserves all the awards for this episode alone.
According to the Sony 'The Last of Us' Creator to Creator discussion here on YT, , Bella mentions that this scene was shot BEFORE the scene of the final confrontation with David and Ellie killing him.
Meaning that they had none of the emotional build up to work from when acting out the moment Joel finds Ellie. So Bella literally gave an Emmy winning performance, a moment filled with heartbreaking panic, terror, shock and trauma then overwhelming relief that her friend, her Father figure had found her, collapsing into him, first and then shot the reason for all of those emotions AFTER that.
I love how the moment Madison saw the deer, the bell in her head rang crazily about the meat. LOL
Congrats on the baby!! 😭 can’t wait to see reactions with you and your little baby.😭
Congrats on the baby. Love your reactions.
I really want to say how much I enjoy both of your reactions! Keep up the great work!

Congratulations! You two will be great loving parents
Yay! Congratulations! My advice for you is enjoy the baby stage as much as possible because it flies by. It feels like only yesterday that I became a new mom and now my daughter is six years old. She will be turning seven in June. 🥰
Madisonnnnn!!!! Congrats guys!!!!! I am so happy for you guys awwwwww so freakin awesome….also what a crazy episode!
What’s creepy about David is that when he said cordyceps set him free he means he has no authority he could go whatever he wants to kids, eat what he wants, etc. him being a teacher before is so disturbing what a scary detail they added.
1. Congratulations on the pregnancy!
2. *"It's okay, baby girl. I got you."*

Congratulations! You guys are awesome and I know y’all will be awesome parents.
You skipped this in your YT video of this episode, but prior to getting their rifles and going hunting, there was discussion of how much and what kinds of meat they had left, and Venison was mentioned. So technically, it wasn't a giveaway that there was cannibalism involved when they brought venison to be cooked before the deer Ellie shot had arrived. Gavid had asked James "How much we have left? Venison, Elk Rabbit." James said "We keep the whole town on rations. Maybe a week."
(Though this could be a scriptwriting error, Elk is one of the meats commonly classified as venison
David had a plate of meat chunks, everyone else had a bowl of stew/meat soup.
Congratulations!!!! So so happy for you guys ❤❤
Congratulations you guys, sending good vibes and well wishes for your happiness as new parents 🎉
Madison's face @ 21:00 🤣🤣🤣
I know this is a post apocalyptic world where people get sick and turn into monsters so the term "realistic" is a very loose term. But for some reason I really really appreciate how realistic it was with how ellie ran into this group in terms of proximity. The fact that ellie probably took Joel to the closest house she could find after episode 6. And this camp having no horses only went scavenging to somewhere very close by so its not random that they ran into each other. Even how Ellie was tracking her dear and the other guys were hunting and stumbled upon the deer is very realistic.
Wow congrats guys I hope ur baby is healthy and happy
aww congratulations! I'm about to have my first baby in 8 weeks. hope you have a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery
Congratz to the new spawn!!
Congratulations! So happy for you both!
My main bit of advice would be definitely to do your own research. There are so many things that other parents told me when I had my first that I just kind of blindly believed. But it wasn’t until I had my second that I researched and realised a lot of things they were saying were outdated (like weaning) So definitely take advice, but do your own research before making any decisions. And trust in your own feelings. It took me four months of constantly fighting to get the doctors to take my daughters milk allergy seriously.
But most of all, enjoy it, because it does go so quick 😊
Congratulations!
I'm sure you'll get tons of good advice. Perhaps one less common one I wish to share with you is that you get this book: "Baby Massage: The Calming Power of Touch" by Alan Heath and Nicki Bainbridge. It's a beautiful way to bond with your baby and for your baby to bond with you both. There are many similar books out there on this subject, but this one won't overwhelm you, and it's straightforward with clear illustrations. Take care.
congratulations you two! so happy for ya!
Here for the first pregnancy tips:
-Put a pillow between your knees when you sleep on your side. Helped me sleep so much!
-A bit of lemon in your morning water glass will help with the morning sickness
-Walk your dog as long as you can. It'll keep you moving:)
I'll send you guys more tips on Instagram:)
P.S. most of the baby products stuff like baby wipes heater are just traps to keep you buying more sh*t

7:08 boy i am laughing so hard seeing her reaction to david ellie conversation.... she has zero clue as to what was coming 😂
OMG CONGRATULATIONS OMG OMG I’m so excited for you, you’re going to be amazing parents. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Papa Joel got that dawg in him
25:07 she isn't just traumatized.... it's something that a person can never forget even if they turned 60 year old... it's a mental scar... i am sorry i have commented multiple times but this episode is... my favorite for wrong reasons...
25:19 You know, I think there's cannibalism because I think that's totally what would also happen. Someone people would indeed resort to doing that. When there's no food, some people choose to die, but others would definitely choose to live, no matter what. I was watching another reaction video and the guy mentioned an airplane crash that happened where people ate the deceased so they wouldn't starve. This is a real thing, and it happened in some mountain in Chile. The survivors rationed the little food they had, but when they ran out of it and would definitely die, they had to unbury the dead and eat them. I think they spent a bit over two months there before a rescue team was able to find them.
Congratulations you two!!!! You're going to be amazing parents!
Great reaction guys!!! Glad there's only one more episode, because I don't think Madison's hair could take it any more 👴! Also I just realized how much Madison looks like Avril Lavigne 😲
She sounds a lot like Emma Stone
Congrats!!! So happy for you two!!
Congrats new mom and pop.... that baby is saying "I can't wait to see my new minions"... and I bring me my damn bottle NOW GODDAMMITT"
congrats on the baby guys I bet you gonna be the greatest parents ever 💜💜🌸
I came to see their reaction to “ baby girl”. Anyways ha.
Congratulations to the expecting parents
Consistently some of the best reactions, love y'all!! 💜💜
Congrats on being first-time parents. My top 3 tips for you is:
1) You have to make sure you bottle feed the baby AT LEAST once a day. It is important that the baby is able to bottle feed so that other people are able to help feed the baby when mama isn't available either physically or mentally. Breast feeding sounds easy, but it's actually harder than you think. There's a lot of work when your baby decides not to nurse when you need them to due to physical pain. You have to pump it out and if they decide they want it after you've pumped it, then the only option is for them to take the bottle.
2) The first couple months is going to be rough in terms of sleep. You have to feed the baby, burp the baby, change the diapers every 2 to 3 hours throughout the 24-hour day. That means you basically have AT MOST a 2 hour window to sleep before you have to do it all over again. Make sure you guys share the work load (again bottle feeding is essential). The first 100 days of a baby's life they are developing their world view. You have to be compassionate and offer comfort to them whenever they are crying. This will give them a positive outlook on life and set them up to be a positive person. So the best way to be patient and compassionate is to not be overworked and be overtired.
3) Very important to interact with your baby during the first 3 years of their life. This is the most critical time for them as their brains are growing exponentially during this time. Even if you don't think or believe they understand you, it's still important to keep talking and playing with them. This will set them up to succeed and not fall behind trying to catch up learning basic language and social skills when they are older.
Heyyyyy congrats! 🎉 wishing you an easy and healthy pregnancy!
To be fair, David did say they had a week of rabbit/deer left so it could have made sense that they were still eating venison in that scene. However, I think that David was just calling it rabbit or deer to justify what he was doing.
Congratulations you two!! How exciting ❤
Oh man congrats on becoming parents you two
Great reacting as always
Congratulations to you both for your News about being a Mum and Dad
