This was our EBRA bottle , we allready have 3 new Barrels in switzerland , we love it. Dettling is a unicorn Distillery with a great Potential , Thanks Seth. Now we know where the missing bottle is.
I bought a bottle of this, or at least similar in Chattanooga. It was 54 months old. Probably one of the best bottles I’ve ever had from a small distillery.
I live in the FL Panhandle and have been looking all over for this stuff and can only find the small batch. Would love to get my hands on some of their higher proof offerings
It sucks that I can't buy this here in Alabama. I've bought so much of their whiskey including three bottles of the 72 month offering. Two bottles are still unopened.
A law should be passed that bans American white oak barrel aging for products that cannot be sold in America. Only fresh cut Sycamore, Austrian Pine, Japanese Maple, and used Pine pallet wood can be used for exclusive export. No charing, or toasting. On the other hand, the kid in me wants private companies do what ever the Hell they want.
Fred, Craft distillery = small production, capabilities. Pass the litmus test first in the US market. Let us taste. Let us be the judge. If it’s as good as you say then there will be no problem selling it here in the US. We love good Bourbon Whiskey here. Good proof, good look, Nice bottle, has everything going for it. Sell it here first. We need more choice for great bourbons here. Besides, many of us will support our local craft distillers. We get it.
My only concern is for the middle class consumer. Nothing stops a craft distillery I went to bat for from getting good and then selling out in the future to the likes of Sazerac or the Pritzkers. -a pissed of bourbon drinker A craft in my backyard is trying to sell a barrel pick they "discovered" for 6x!!! their basic barrel strength. It was trash in a custom wood box compared to their previous 4 releases. Total snake oil.
All the Dettling cask strength I've seen has the same label no matter the age. The age statement on the younger bottles looked like it was put on with a sharpie that was out of ink... Buyer beware!!! I didn't do my homework I didn't have my reading glasses, so shame on me.. I live in Alabama I thought I'd support a local distillery. Not again the 27 month statement on my $115. Bottle can barely be read, & it's absolutely the nastiest shit I've hever tasted, absolute drain poor.

My husband and I live in Robertsdale...this distillery is in our backyard almost. We are definitely planning to visit this weekend!!
I’m from AL so thanks for putting me onto this brand!

Their white wheat is awesome. I got a couple of bottles in Alabama
My uncle is the owner of Dettling bourbon, I’m not the legal age to have it yet but when I grow up you already know.

Just bought this in Kentucky excited to get home and try
Thanks🥃👍
I got two bottles of the white wheat in TN.
Just got 1 yesterday in clarksville Tennessee
Nice I also got mine in Clarksville at Bill’s.
Got mine at mulligans on wima rudolf....bills os great though.....got all my old elk there
I’m getting a black coffee note. The only benefit to living in Alabama and being a bourbon fan is I can get this pretty much regularly.
Thanks Fred, for the honest review. 🙏
I actually hate it when American businesses have products not available state side but available overseas. America first in all aspects.

OH BTW. I hope your Purcellvile trip was good!
I just need one bottle please! 😀
I think if it made in Alabama it should be sold in Alabama

Support small local distilleries that send their whiskey overseas so you can't have it. ✔
