The entire John Wick franchise is just a training program that Neo undergoes to learn all of the things that are uploaded into his head.
Got it backwards. The Matrix is just John Wick's morning mental exercises.
One of my favorite scenes was the gun dealer in Rome. He just was a whole character by himself. Just a bunch of fun & class without being foppish either. I honestly don't know how he pulled it off, but he did it perfectly.
Sommelier is an actual prestigious position in fine dining & hospitality - their role is to know everything about wine to an incredible degree, and pair it perfectly (working with the head chef) with the establishment's food menu.
That the Continental's version /also / specialises in weaponry is gloriously delightful.
That's the great Peter Serafinowicz - a very talented British comedy actor and writer. A real treat to see him turn up in something like this as he's still pretty underrated IMO.
When John Wick bumps into Cassian after he kills Gianna, I love how they wove in those subtle subtexts in their dialogue.
Cassian: "Good night?" = "Did you kill your target?"
John: "Afraid so..." = "Yea... and you're not gonna like who it was."
Clearly, Cassian knows John and it's apparent to him that an assassin of John's caliber would be here for only one person.
I actually worked as an extra in John Wick 2 & 3 here in New York... Keanu is over 6' in height, I am 6'2" tall. I was part of this Central Park Scene in Chapter 2 and the Metro North Scene in Grand Central Station in Chapter 3 (which was a HOOT for the choreography of the scene with over 350 of us working that night)! Enjoy the Peekaboo Scene in there in Chapter 3!✌😎
That’s awesome 😎🤓
Dam you was in John wick? Wow a celebrity bro I’m happy for you
awesome
The tailor in Rome was actually the Wardrobe Head for the film. It amazes me how hard it must have been to film the mirror shot's without seeing the camera.
I heard they had to CGI remove them.
i bet greenscreen and after effects
The sommelier is one of the most underrated characters in movie history.
Her tattoo says: "Just Love"
It's her real tat, not just some movie tat.
Thanks
“Tell them, tell them all, whoever comes, whoever it is, I’ll kill them……..I’ll kill them all”. Such a badass iconic quote.
The Rome gear-up montage is one of my all time favourites. Sets up the action sequence so well with it's music and mood.

Question for my lps
I honestly believe that the ENTIRE PURPOSE of the second film is to get a "pencil" sequence. I have to say... I literally jumped out of my chair with excitement when it happened. It was GLORIOUS.
No.2 pencil in Number 2 movie.
Damn...great reaction, guys.
And thank you, Mr. Movies. All I can hear now is flatulence of the soul. 😂
Mr. Movies' reaction to the guy's crotch getting split open in the subway might be THE most facial expression of the year.
And Mrs. Movies' reaction to Santino getting shot by John was the same I had.
Imo, this has the best cliffhanger ending since The Dark Knight. 🤷🏻♂️
Fun Fact: Yes, most firearms suppressors aren’t that quiet in real life. But, there were some remarkably quiet firearms made. During WWII, James Bond writer Ian Fleming was approached by how unrealistically quiet the guns were in his work, and he defended his writings by talking about the British Sten MKII(S) that were made by SOE during WWII. Fleming said that you could fire an entire magazine of one of those guns in an adjacent room and still wouldn’t be able to tell that a machine gun was firing. Ian from ForgottenWeapons fired a Sten MKII(S) as well and it is an exceptionally quiet firearm.
That wasn't John Wick shooting her in the tub. It was John Constantine, trying to spare her from his fate.
Denzel,Keanu Reeves and Liam Neeson made the right choice going back to action movies in their later ages
Brian Mills/Equalizer/Jason Bourne/John Wick Team up movie?
@@lazzman8230 dude that would be fucking awesome
Still a few good actors left in Hollywood staying away from the woke agenda. 🥂
All of us who grew up with those actors and thier careers are around middle aged kow, so we are all like "fuck yeah, my old ass can do that too! We can't but it's still metal!!"
@@ZERXERZANZIGER That has no bearing on absolutely anything. As long as the films are entertaining who cares for their political leanings
7 million doesn't seem like enough honestly 🤣
JUST LOVE is tattoed on her hands btw.! Great reaction, as usual! ;)
We all know about the flatulence of the soul lmao
Love John Leguizamo
Wick probably also shot her before she dies because killing herself is a mortal sin. He was being kind to her to at least give her a chance of avoiding the damnation they were just talking about, along with making sure he fulfilled the marker..... It really sounded like "flatulence of the soul" to me too.
If she didn't REALLY regret doing it before she died, it still is a mortal sin. The bullet would not change anything... It adds one more sin to Wick tho 😆
Believe you are correct & that is the reason Jon Wick asked her. "Do you fear damnation when you die?" It's better to be murdered than take your own life. In addition to John Wick needing the bullet in her head to prove he did it, the marker has been cleared. & If she hasn't made peace w/Jesus before death, that's between her & Jesus.

"Pythagoras believed the soul (pneuma) was breath, and because a fart was a sort of breath, as he was struggling with the mechanics of trigonometry, he was also concerned that if a person pushed hard enough they might “fart out his or her soul.”"
Flatulence of the soul baby
The Chris Gaines comment was unexpected, but very appreciated. 😂
I love and agree with "The Flatulence of the Soul". Also, JW doesn't really run away, strategically regroups. (And no hesitation to break Continental Rules knowing the repercussions is very Wick) Excellent you two. Can't wait for 3
Blame the sound editors and the voice actor for the recording. It does very much sound like "the flatulence of the soul". Though, there are times like Army of Darkness's "it's the one in the cart we're after!" where something with sounds or music causes a common mishearing amonst most people. Many an evil dead fan were wondering how ancient deadites knew what a car was, until the movie was released with subtitling.
Well done Mr and Mrs,Loved all your comments at the end and looking forward to seeing the next one with you. ❤
Chris Gaines lol.. wow.. that's a blast from the past! I just LOVE Garth Brooks!!
(8:33) Mrs Movies: *"He only has three big g__s, though. Surprising, actually"* --- Mr Movies: *"You can only sh__t one at a time."*
Thank you! *Thank you!* *THANK YOU!* Finally, someone tells it like it is.
That collection of 24 AR's under your bed? Wasted money.
In the end they'll pry only one from your cold, d__d, hands.
The bulletproof suits are actually real things. They’re about $20,000 a suit.
A high school buddy of mine is a mechanic, who still has a ‘70 Chevelle that he’s restored at least twice already. He told me when this came out, seeing a ‘70 SS and a vintage Mustang get mangled, he was ready to leave the theater after 20 minutes.
My personal theory is that there aren't normally that many assassins in New York (although probably more than the average city, per capita, due to the presence of the UN and Wall Street), but not that much time has passed since the first movie, and a lot of them went to New York from all over when the original bounty went out on John Wick, set at $2 million originally, and then $4 million later. John Wick killed everybody and the bounty got called off. But all those assassins from all over the world went to New York when the first call went out, and decided they'd hang around for a bit, see the sights, maybe pick up a little local work for a while, rather than go back to wherever they came from right away. So, when a 7 million dollar bounty got called, they were already there in the city and the hunt was back on pretty quickly.
Rip to Lance Riddick. I live in Baltimore and met him when they were filming The Wire. He was really great to everyone. Thanks for sharing.
That was the same spot Perkins got... banned from the Continental. Bethesda Fountain in Central Park. The water wall thing he was at earlier with Cassian was the Lincoln Center, half mile west of Bethesda. Nice places to walk around.
Rubys hands say, just love.
My favourite scene is the entrance to the room of mirrors when the recorded voice says "welcome to the flatulence of the soul" with massive flames in the back
Really cool to see you guys watch the John Wick movies. Great reactions, take care!
What I liked in episode II of the saga is that we learn more about the "world of John Wick". The rules of this environment, the links between people etc...
TBH, I think that (and the fact they diverted from a somehow realistic approach, an excellent but still human assassin, to a superhero kind of approach) is the worst part of the series. All those rules don't make any sense at all. They are all fine and dandy each on it's own to drives the story, but putting them together logically, it's just stupid. Esp. when taking into account what comes in Part 3.
@@mrtveye6682 For my part, I try not to throw the baby out with the bathwater. It is true that the unrealistic approach taken in II and III is boring. It is true that in the first he was a gifted and effective killer but who was helped more than once by his sniper friend. And so we could say to ourselves that he is very lucky in his activity and that was among other things what made him special. In II and III, it looks like a video game. I wish someone helped him in the shadows like Marcus did in the first one. I didn't like number 3 at all, which is completely delusional. I find that there are far too many fights and it gets boring. And why does he have to face so many killers? It would have been more interesting if he faced some tough killers like one of the killers from the first one. The one he confronted at the nightclub and killed just before he forced Vigo to tell him where his son was. The only thing that interests me in this saga is certain rules such as blood pacts, the organization to which John belonged, etc. Otherwise it's true that after the first one it becomes nonsense. And in the other two John is amazingly stupid. He went to kill the Italian at the continental and then he fled? He must have been aware that it was suicide. I really wish we had more character development. For example the links between John and the Italian he was forced to kill in Rome or how the Italian helped John to get out of this world of criminals. There was great potential in this saga...
@@hous2tim964 Well said. It's very plot driven without much logic. Your example with the hit on the mafia-lady is spot on. He sneaked in without being noticed, but than he walked out right through the party. Why would he do that? It's just stupid and "not him", and the only reason is, because that way they could manage to sneak in another fight scene. And even for that there would have been more logic ways. Her bodyguard could just walk in to pick her up for the party - and that would have been just a very simple solution.
Don't get me wrong, I still think part II and III are very entertaining for the most part. Even part 3 had IMO some great moments, for example the fight scene in Casablanca was pretty unique and well done. And I will definitely watch part 4. But as you said, a lot of missed potential. If they had put only half of the effort they put into the action scenes into good script-writing, the series could have been way better.
Now contemplating the flatulence of the soul.
John's car is a Boss 429, done under contract with Kar Kraft for only 2 model years, 1969 & 70. The '70 SS Chevelle we must assume is an LS6 454. After all, this is John Wick.
Love these movies. A heightened action fantasy world that keeps being developed with great action, stylish visuals and at the centre of it all is Keanu being quietly charismatic and utterly compelling. Bring on Chapter 4 and its near 3hr run time.
“JUST LOVE” is Ruby Rose’s knuckle tattoos.
Thank you editor for adding the audio for us after the "flatulence of the soul" debate, as it kept me from searching. Reminded me of listening to Peter Kay.
John wick- Best
John wick 2- straight hell fire
John wick 3- Masterpiece
John wick 4- Cult classic Actioner
Do Point Break! Directed by Katherine Bigelow, the director of Near Dark, Strange Days, The Hurt Locker, and Zero Dark Thirty. Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze are great together in it. Also has Gary Busy!
My very first car, right out of high school, bought with my money BTW, was a 67 SS396 375Hp Chevelle. I switched to Fords after that car. Two Mustang GT's one Ford Cobra (98) and my current 2016 Flat Plane Crank, Shelby Cobra.
That's about the cars. This series of films is just amazing. Can't wait for y'all to review the 3rd. Four comes out March 24 and Five is being made.
Kevlar weave, yeah that's the ticket!!
Anyway, love watching y'alls reactions / reviews.
As we say here Texas; Y'all be safe.
I love her reaction "He's going to be pissed when he has to break that open again in 35 minutes."
Ok, we're gonna need some "Flatulence of the soul" merch now 😂🤣
The tattoo says JUST LOVE, it's Ruby Rose's tattoo irl, not a very 'mafia assassin' message... that's why they didn't show it hahaha
The shootout in the catacombs was sublime, with the AR and Berelli shotgun.
Mr. Movies, look up the Welrod. It is a silenced pistol used in WW2 and is actually one of the few guns that is Hollywood quiet. Anyways, glad you enjoyed the movie.
With how much she loves cars I'm surprised no one recommended yet FORD V FERRARI. She'll love it
Agreed! It’s a phenomenal movie and the movie that opened my eyes to how good of an actor Christian Bale is.
Mrs Movie trying to keep her yoga regiment top secret 😂
Ruby Rose's tattoo on the fingers is "JUST LOVE"
That DID sound like flatulence of the soul. Obviously Gaslighting. 😄
There is one scene in John Wick 3, when you go, "no, no, no, don't show it, don't show it. Aaaaugh! They showed it!". It's awesome.
I certainly know exactly the section you are thinking about, i was thinking 'Don't, don't, don't' Damn it, you did
I get off to that scene
"Flatulence of the Soul"🤣🤣🤣
I would still suggest to find some Donnie Yen movies like Flash Point and SPL Sha Po Lang(called Killzone in the U.S) to react to since Keanu will be fighting / alongside him in the upcoming movie John Wick Chapter 4. Those movies I mentioned have some of the best hard hitting fight scenes in any Hong Kong movies and Killzone especially has a great story.
It definitely said flatulence the first time lol
Her other hand says "LOVE"
The hand tattoos are real. Ruby Rose has Just Love on her fingers.
The hall of mirrors sequence is reminiscent of the final fight in Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon. Loved it.
"Yee haw, mouth full of chaw." as grandpa used to say before a battle.
dog outside taking a dump
wondering wtf happen to the house🤣
Love your stuff. Can't believe I forgot to subscribe for so long.
BTW, Ruby Rose's finger tattoos are "Just Love". She has over fifty tattoos altogether.
I will say, I don't think all the people who stopped at the end are assassins. I think it was just to show the control he has, they probably work a broad number of things within the world (somebody still has to do the housekeeping, manage supply stuff, admin, etc for The Continental)
I'm gonna open a Mexican restaurant and name it Flatulence of the Soul. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
This has to be the single best reaction to this movie that I've seen so far. Great stuff Mr. & Mrs. Movies. Keep up the good work.
@ 35:29 I'm thinking if we have brain farts we just might have soul farts🤔🤔🤔🤷♂️
12:28 "you may well find something reaches out... and drags you back into its depths."
37:52 "just li--- just life? Just live?" "Just like and subscribe!"
Ruby Rose's left hand says 'love'
Ruby Rose's knuckle tattoos say "JUST LOVE". She apparently Just Loves to get fired from projects.
The '69 Mustang is my personal favorite of all the Mustangs, but in the True BOSS 429 form. John's is a Mach 1 that's supposed to be a BOSS 429 in the movie.
But The Firebird/Trans Am would honestly be the faster Muscle car, they could get up to 160 mph in their heyday.
And had the advantage of being more stable at high speeds and when cornering than the Mustang was.
I'm impressed by the headphones/hat combo.
Trust me, you never want to get flatulence of the soul. Let’s just say too much vodka was involved.
There is a running joke that everyone in the John Wick world is an assassin, because they spring up from everywhere and everyone accepts gold coins to do stuff.
her knuckle tattoos say "just love" and they were real (1 of 65 tattoos) she has since had them removed
I can't wait to watch John Wick Chapter 4.
Since the Mrs was wondering "However, Ruby has now had laser treatment to remove the words "Just Love" from her knuckles as they proved difficult to cover up for film and TV roles."
Definitely also hear "flatulence of the soul".
her tattoo actualy is 'SOUL FART'
Reflections of the soul...
"they're not gonna kill him in broad daylight In front of all these witnesses"
Well, about that.....
WOW! The only person besides me that knows who Chris Gaines is! LOL
“Did it go through the…?”
No, John just decided to let out a sound of pain for no reason.
Common had the best battle with John Wick so far in the series
Fewer things more fun than watching John Wick and Common try and kill each other on my commuter train
John Wick series is so great. Maybe this life is a simulation of the matrix. I’d love to know more about John and Winston. Winston seems to have a father figure approach to John. From the trailers I think the fourth might touch on it some.
Great reactions. Ian m Shane is great, but I like him better in the HBO Deadwood.
The tattoos on her knuckles say just love.

And shortly after this, Neo meets Morpheus. Again.
Lol "can he do the job?"..
"Of course he can....he's john fucking wick!" ..

To be fair, all men hear "flatulence" and "fart" in everything. :D
Can't wait for you to watch Chapter 3. Believe it or not, they find ways to step up the action.
Too bad it's the worst of the three.
Two words…Belgian Malinois! My favorite part is watching those two go to work.
And the Chapter 4 is even better
I love you guys. Y’all are adorable.
Not sure if this has been said or not but the actor who plays the doctor is the key maker in The Matrix, lot of tie ins between both franchises
Can't wait for yall to get to part 3. This series is some of the best action movies i've seen in a while.
pretty sure the Gun guy in Rome, who is great by the way is the guy that voiced Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace. Amazing voice.
refractions of the soul. lol
Real cowboys take their hats off indoors!
The doggo is just so damn cute :D
I agree with Mr Movies--I also heard Flatulence of the soul..hahahaha
28:30 Silencers for some low caliber handguns ARE quiet almost like that, and don't sound even close like a shot (in other movies they do them louder for cinematic effect)
Ahhh... Good ole' John Wick and STAIRS.
I agree with Mr.'s Movies on the Mustang, and LOL @ The Buttwiper & Nike, great nicknames XD
Also that is a great question! I want to know where all these hired goons come from. There must be like goon schools or something.
I wish I had goons that would uselessly die for me if I needed it... well I guess better to just not need goons in the first place, by not being evil!
