Riddick is actually Vin Diesel's favorite character to play. In fact once he became a more established actor, he bought the rights to Riddick and owns the franchise. He was also closely involved in the making of both video games which take place in the Riddick universe and has written the lore.

There's actually an animated Riddick short called Chronicles of Riddick Dark Fury that takes place between the first and second movies. Made by Peter Chung the same guy that created Aeon Flux. It's worth the watch if you guys are interested 👍

This franchise had one of the best movie-to-video game adaptions ever in my opinion. Escape From Butcher Bay was great fun.

Riddick never wanted to be a bad guy. His backstory is, he was once a mercenary himself, part of a team. One day he found out his team was corrupt and wouldn't go along with their plans. There was a fight and he ended up killing one of his team. A bounty was placed on his head. Now, every time he kills someone or escapes from another prison, his bounty keeps increasing. They keep sending more mercs after him, and he is now on the top wanted list in the galaxy. The guy just wants to be left alone.

Throughout the movie we the audience get to see how Riddick Sees especially when the people are getting eaten😮 when Caroline is killed and Riddick is screaming "not for me", he is looking up at the sky as she is getting brutally ripped apart but we the audience don't see that, I think that's a nice touch👌

Riddick was a breath of fresh air when I first saw pitch black. Watched a bootleg copy at a mates house and then over the next couple of years, after Vin Diesel got huge props for fast and furious, pitch black finally started to get some buzz. It was the John wick of its time and the fan base quickly made it into a cult classic.

I love how the color grading shifts when the yellow sun sets and the blue one rises.

This movie is awesome. There’s so many little details that makes it stand out. One thing that I didn’t catch the first time I watched it was that Johns accidentally loaded one of his morphine cartridges into his shotgun, which is why he had a misfire. Basically, the morphine killed him in the end. As always, you guys are great! Always love your reactions!

this is a brilliant minimalist movie - I recall how it blew the top of my head off when I stumbled upon it two decades ago

Before Battlestar Galactica became the best TV show ever there was Farscape. Claudia Black, the darkhaired woman along with Ben Browder played one of the best couples I think I've ever seen depicted on TV. They got so comfortable in their characters that in the later seasons the writers stopped writing dialogue for them and instead wrote instructions and they improvised most of their scenes together. No idea if it would get any views but I'm 100% sure you'd both love it. The Jim Henson Company made the aliens, it's mostly well acted (especially Ben and Claudia), well written, proper sci-fi with some seriously insane things happening and lots of world-building, good music and really fun effects.

This is one of those movies that you go into without any over the top expectations, but when it's over it amazes you how it isn't recognized by more people. This movie is terrific and I love everything about it. I remember the first time I saw this I had no clue what it was about, but boy was it FUN. I was hooked. Although I may be in the minority, even though many people do enjoy it, but I think I may like Chronicles of Riddick even more because it fills in a ton, plus it was always on TV so I had it on in the background a good amount of times. It's just one of those movies I can watch whenever.

When she says "yes, I would die for them", Riddick says "how interesting"
