This is a great movie. Tucker just wanted to refurbish his vacation home and he would have gotten away with it too, if it hadn't been for those meddling kids.
On the Tasting History RUclips channel, Max Miller said that while doing historical research for one of his recipes, he fund out that "meddling" used to be an English metaphor for having sex (I can't remember the historical period or the recipe though), and he said learning that gave the famous line from Scooby Doo a whole new meaning for him.
@@waterbeauty85 Ha! Well... now that I think about it they were always wandering off in pairs or small groups, so...
@@darielwoods7859 With that in mind, I really hope Shaggy was a virgin...
@@waterbeauty85 It was a stealthy precision F-bomb. XD "I would have gotten away with it too, if not for you *F**KING* kids!"
@@darielwoods7859 it was no secret that Fred and Daphne were banging.
What surprised me about this movie was how real and let’s face it touching the friendship between Tucker and Dale is. Definitely wasn’t expecting that
I realised I'm old when I decided I would much rather hang out with Tucker and Dale than those college morons lol.
For me, it's the "it's a suicide pact!" that gets me every time. I love seeing people's reactions when they see this movie. Everything about it is just so good!
That is also my favorite little bit.
"Oh my God , that makes so much sense!"
@@adgato75 Given the bizarre circumstances and not being privy to the students' side of the conversation, what ELSE might they conclude??
@@christopherb501 I feel like that's a big leap , especially since they could ask Allison any time if that were the case. If she weren't knocked out lol
@@adgato75 On the death part, not the part about charging in.
@@christopherb501 I'm sorry , I don't understand your point from that phrasing.
"It's true, Chad - you're half-Hillbilly!" is the funniest line in cinema history.
The absolute funniest part is when the guy dives in the wood chipper, blood spatter everywhere, and Tucker says in that squeaky voice "Are you ok?"
"We have had a doozy of a day." Cracks me up every time!
Me it's They hate my face... He says with a freaking Scythe. XD
The doozy of a day scene is hands down my favorite scene in any movie.
"Tucker and I.... brung you here."
I'd like to buy a PBR for whomever wrote that line. Still gets me..
Loved how Mrs. Movie kind of understood it all when the first kid died...it was like, ahhh this is how its going to go. This movie was such a surprise and fun adventure, I still watch it to this day and laugh! Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine were perfect to play Tucker and Dale :)
This movie is so ingenious, all the slasher Cliche's combined with dark comedy was perfectly executed, the nuances of role reversals was incredibly clever.
Yes it is true to the horror ploys. And I love the point of view from the "creepy' ones.
"Yeah, what kind of work would you do with a bachelor's in psychology?"
"About anything you want..."
I was dying, as a fellow adult with a bachelor's in psychology. 😆
Yeahhhhh same.
Qualifies you for TONS of jobs. Starbucks barista, food service, telemarketing, really all kinds of stuff!
Moral of the story: “Don’t judge a book by its cover… because that’s how people die”
It’s been a long time since I laughed to where I couldn’t breath and it was from this movie.
Last movie I watched with my cousin before he passed away, holds a place in my heart, glad you watched it.
This was an absolute gem outta left field!
I didn’t expect _any_ of it!
Alan Tudyk is amazing as usual!
Love this film so much. It actually stressed my teenager out the first time he saw it because he was so outraged that they ruined their dream cabin lol
"Are you ok?"
Love this one, great reaction guys.
"We got ur friend" is probably my favorite. I giggle like a child both times it's used.
This is an amazing movie.
Saw it back at release, and was just expecting some mediocre horror flick, that we've seen a million times before. It took me completely by surprise.
Same here! Back when Netflix had the scrolling alphabet for a search bar instead of a giant square with all the letters. We used to just randomly scroll fast in one direction and randomly click letters. We came up with this and probably watched it four or five times after we luckily discovered it.
Great, underrated, hilarious, cult classic.
I love Dale's heart of gold in this. Such great characters, and brilliant play with perspective.
This movie was such a pleasant surprise and a twist on the cabin in the woods genre I couldn't have expected.
This and Knights of Badassdom are two of my favourite lesser known comedies. They never fail to make me laugh
Trailer Park of Terror is another hilarious one. From around the same time.
Omg yes Knights of Badassdom is awesome.
It is Mark Twain lol. And also “who belts their buckle like that?” was hilarious
Everytime i go to a new person's house I always say: "whoever lived here must've been an archaeologist or something." Because of this movie
No matter how many times I see this flick it always cracks me up. 😁
This is one of the best horror comedies in recent years.
Love this movie, it's hilarious!!! This and What We Do in the Shadows are easily the best horror comedies to come out in a long time.
How do you feel about Happy Death Day?
@@christopherb501 Honestly didn't know it was a comedy, so I'll have to check it out and let you know!
@@po5283 I've heard Freaky (2020) is decent as well.
@@christopherb501 Until this and What We Do, for me I'd have to go back to early 2000's and Bubba Ho-Tep and My Name is Bruce for great horror comedies, but I'll definitely have to check out both Freaky and Happy Death Day for sure.
Shaun of the Dead and Cabin in the Woods as well, but those ones came out quite a while back.
This was the most brilliant horror comedy I've ever seen. I wouldn't even really call it a horror comedy because you're never really scared. It's almost parody.
It's satire and it's much better than the 'scary movie' franchise
Best death was the woodchipper, best character Dale. This is in my top 5 favorite movies, as romantic comedy, horrors it's even better then so I married an axe murderer.
My favorite death hands down has to be the sheriff. He literally went into the afterlife radioing for help. 😂
The woodchipper scene & explanation makes me laugh till I cry everytime I watch it
This is the hardest I've seen you two laugh.🤣 Such a fun reaction!
"Kentucky Fried College Kid" LOL
What an amazing actor is Alan Tudyk.
this is like watching the movie version of the 'Mrs' playing one of those survival horror games like the Quarry 😂😂
This is one of those movies I went into with low expectations and ended up laughing so hard I had to wipe tears away.
This is probably my favorite dark comedy. It's a real gem that flew under the radar for a while too. I'd suggest watching "I Sell The Dead" for similar dark tones and unfortunate series of events.
What we do in the shadows (the film) is amazing as well. The humor in it is more subtle though.
LOL, as soon as I hear Pump up the Jam I immediately heard Philomena Cunk saying, "the year the Brazilian Techno Pop anthem Pump up the jam came out."
The Pancakes was a reference to Cabin Fever.
One of THE BEST Dark Comedies😂
This is the perfect Mrs. Movie. She will understand the refrences while being amused by the comedy.
13:29 the way she glared at you lol
Actually, the Evil Dead cabin burned down a few years after the film was made (probably drunken teenagers). All that remains is the chimney.
This was like sleep away camp meets Ernest goes camping.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This was the movie I took my wife to see on our first date. She said I was probably a serial killer…and then invited me to come inside 😱😂🤪🤷🏾♂️
Oh no… Never take a first date to a movie.. Always do something where you can talk to your date..
Ahaha she understand your black humour!!! Just

As much love as we love tucker & dale. We're also very happy nothing happened to the doggo.
I thought Mr. Movie was going to pass out from laughing so much. Every so often a movie comes out and surprises you, and this one did just that.
i love the polar opposite reaction to the deaths. husband laughing his ass off and the wife is horrified. lmao🤣🤣🤣🤣
When I first heard of this movie, I thought it was gonna be an “inbred cannibal hillbilly ‘Wrong Turn’ ‘The Hills Have Eyes’” type movie. It turned out to be an unexpected gem. Loved it and love you two reviewing and reacting to it. Lol
You really need to check out Alan Tudyk in the Resident Alien syfy series. You'll both love it. It's alot of the same style humor. And the storyline is fantastic. Loved your reactions.
This movie is hilarious and underrated, glad other people are able to see this.
Thank u guys! Seriously 1 of the best parts of my week havin a laugh or gettin scared with ya's! Much love from Australia xo😘 💜🇦🇺
13:28 You got caught by your misses ;) Dw we both had the same reaction when she came out lol
Great movie, on the DVD there is a college kid perspective that's a ĺot of fun.
Ash vs Evil dead and Stan vs Evil are shows with a similar comedy still if your looking for more.
"Todd and the Book of Pure Evil" is also a horror/comedy tv series that is awesome. Should really be better known , it's great.
Yeah, that's a great extra on the DVD, it looks like a regular slasher from their perspective...showing why the others thought Tucker & Dale were killers.
@@adgato75 I'm going to start watching Todd and the Book of Pure Evil for the first time this week.
@@robythemythosman9392 Haha , let me know what you think. It's a trip.
I must've watched this movie five times in the week it came out. Only nostalgia keeps it from taking the top Horror-Comedy spot from Evil Dead 2.
Alan Tudyk is awesome! Resident Alien is a good show too, he plays the titular character. He's underappreciated as a comedic actor, I think.
"OH GOD" covers face
*Laughing like a loon* 😂
Did y'all ever see the TV show Reaper?
It starred Tyler Labine, and Ray Wise (from RoboCop). Similar sense of humor and Labine's character is hilarious.
I don't think I've ever seen her laugh that much before.
THANK YOU for picking up and loving that 'inferiority complex' gag. So may reviewers don't catch how hilarious it is that the one guy thinks it's an ailment that can be seen. It's my favorite gag in this hilarious movie.
Genuinely, one of the FUNNIEST movies I've ever seen.
This is one of my favorite movies. Tucker and Dale are my favorite in the movie.
Best death is the wood chipper.
Thank you So Much for this great reaction.
I Love this film...Not only does it have the wonderful Alan Tudyk, the woodchipper death has to be one of the Best Ever..!!!
Oh sweet jesus I love this movie. Such an underrated movie and nowhere near enough people react to it. I don’t remember any marketing for this at all and only watched it because I was trying to find a horror movie to watch on netflix a few years ago. Not even close to what o had wanted to watch but I still loved it.
Not underrated. Even if you like it. That word doesn’t exist in entertainment… unless you live in some kind of hive mind bubble
@@Gnossiene369 The fuck are you even talking about??
thats how i found it too, just browsing netflix, and recognized the blonde guy from dodgeball, and the girlfrom 30 rock, s i watched it and loved it.
@@donyates7300 I only recognized Tyler Labine. Dude was hilarious in Sons of Tuscan and Reaper. The only other actor I remember recognizing once I started watching the movie was the black dude (don’t think I’ve ever looked to see what his name is). Power Rangers S.P.D. is probably my second favorite Power Rangers series, Power Rangers In Space being the first, and he was the Red Ranger on there. (And yes, it sounds really weird to say what my favorite Power Rangers series is at 33)
14:48 Literally almost pissed myself laughing over him saying that. Hands down the best line in the whole movie... hahahahahaha
Alan Tudyk is such a great actor and dedicated he was hung upside down for so many hours he had migraines and blood shot eyes for days but didn’t complain, asking for Tylenol for a head ack isn’t complaining.
Love this movie! It's always fun to watch reactions to this. The guy jumping into the woodchipper is my fav.
I love this movie so much. It’s a gem in every sense of the word.
at 6:28 when you see the hillbilly throw the saw blade in the flashback was my dealers brother in vancouver. I came over and he gave me a copy.
Not signed by the guy in his movie but signed by his brother, despite it being dumb. I'll always keep on display.
At the first moment we get introduced to the CHAD of the movie 😂😂🤣🤣
For me, the moment the cop pulls up and there's a few moments pause before Tucker begins to lead with "We have had a doozy of a day..."
The fact that 2 mins prior to that, he had already said to Dale what I knew was coming as a unfathomable explanation, just made me howl.
This movie's so damn funny. It kinda mirrors the way society is at odds with one another and just misunderstands each others intentions.
Tucker and Dale vs Evil was one of those movies I never heard of and saw the Blu-ray at Target and was like hell ill give it a shot. It's like one of my top 10 movies.
When this movie came out, I watched it twice in a row, howling with laughter both times. Then I watched it a third time cause there was no translated subtitles, but there was a file with the subtitles in English, so I HAD TO translate it. Suffice to say I watched it all day long. 😅
Looked to me that Mr Movies enjoyed it a lot as well. 😂
This movie is phenominal i love it so much lmao! I laughed so hard the first time i've seen it. Especially the dive into the wood chipper.
Hello You & Me. Yay! Thank you for viewing Tucker & Dale! " Hey! "
"Who belts their buckle like that?"
"That guy"
Such a guy response
I love this movie and I'm so glad you both enjoyed it too! Thanks as always!
you can't forget _the beer_ , that was the first thing in the van, and someone might have to stay behind.
Tale, I mean, Ducker's reaction to, "I'm getting me bachelor's degree in psychology", never fails to crack me up.
Dale, played by actor Tyler Labine, has a tattoo on his upper arm. The tattoo depicts a chainsaw with the words "Chainsaw Love" written underneath it. The tattoo is a humorous element in the film and reflects Dale's love for horror movies and his affinity for chainsaws, which becomes relevant to the plot of the movie.
Did you guys know that in the dvd version there’s a full version of the movie from the “Kids” POV?
Could you imagine being Tucker and Dales Defense attorney or attorney ' s .
Tucker is the best - he's such a sweet guy/straight man....which leads to hilarity.
Alan Tudyk of course, has shown himself to be a comedy genius between this Harley Quinn and Resident Alien.
It's the most unexpected thing ever! At a certain point, I was dying laughing because I could hear the husband's chuckling while, watching the Mrs. Donkey bray laughing, just herk, herk, herk.
Just found y'alls channel and loving it. You guys are hilarious! Keep up the good works. Stay blessed.
Funniest kill is gunshot. "Don't do that"
this isn't the hardest i've heard Mr Laugh, I forget that distinction (maybe Sopranos?) but man is it consistent in this
That tattoo on Dale's arm is actually the actor's (Tyler Labine) real tattoo.
How we have not had a sequel or follow up to this movie is beyond me
I love this movie so much it’s so underrated 😂 I put it on one day as background noise and wound up with a new fave horror comedy to pick up on when I need a good laugh 😂
Another fun movie / reaction. Love it. thank you both!!! I never saw it personally, the movie. Glad I checked this one out !!! Totally funny. I'll have to watch the whole thing in person, soon.
My wife loves cinema. I can take or leave it. She said...
"Wash is in it."
"okay"
LMFAO!
Mr. and Mrs. Movies are laughing and having a good time, I especially like Mrs. movie's reactions where she laughs but also feels bad for the characters that accidentally die LOL.
I'm so glad you guys enjoyed this one, I loved it! Watched it twice the first night LOL
Cottage Country feels like a spiritual successor with some of the same crew behind-the-scenes and Tyler Labine in front.
Those kids must of been cursed by a witch or one of them had a final destination moment 😂
Never thought I'd see Jesse Moss (Final Destination 3,Ginger snaps, etc.) Play a lunatic.
Tucker & Dale 2: Tucker & Dale meet Ash on Elm Street. Ally takes Dale home to meet her parents.
Comedy horror is hard enough to pull off without throwing a rom-com into it. Tucker and Dale is a gem.
I like how the cop basically believed them (even though they were still gonna end up being in a lot of trouble), but then died before he could communicate that
By Grapthar's hammer.... What a reaction
