I'm a diehard BAMA fan. The Auburn coaches SHOULD HAVE STRESS THE POINT OF STAYING INBOUNDS if it looked like they were going to be forced out. THIS GAVE ALABAMA the extra 40 secs. That would have sealed the game for them but that gave Bama just enough time to tie the game. I think I need to find a cardiologist!!!!

Okay...RESPECT to Auburn's quarterback, the man showed more heart than most players in the sport. Nothing to be ashamed of Auburn, don't be too salty, you as a team who lost 5 games gave number 3 and a playoff team ALL they could handle. Now as a Bama fan, I will remember this game for the rest of my life. It was the last Iron Bowl I will ever share with my father....thank you Alabama.

Here's the problem. Auburn hangs their whole season on one game, it's like a natty to them. Their fan base is content with 6/6 season as long as they beat Bama. It's a tragic existence but it's the truth.

I live in Alabama and half of my extended family is Auburn.
And this is 100% true. They would absolutely have seen this as a great season with a win today, because it's all they and their players care about. SEC titles and NCs are just bonus. They were even happy in 2017 watching Alabama and Georgia play for the NC because they would never miss an opportunity to remind us that they beat us they year (like we cared, lol, we won a national title).
The real tragic existence is rooting for a team just because they’re good. More than half of Alabama fans don’t know what it’s like to lose and I guarantee if they had a losing season they’d hop on the next bandwagon

@@darrenkirkley I'm sure there's a lot of those types of fans out there, and most of them are likely located outside the state of Alabama. Because being a part of that fanbase, and sharing that same community with other Bama fans on a daily basis..... it can be a powerful experience, believe it or not. It isn't easy to give up on. It's about more than a college football team's wins and losses. If you ever join it and develop the same intensity for them as it's loyal diehard fans do, it isn't so easy to give up on afterwards. It's more of an overall identity and allegiance to a brand name with a lot of history behind it more than it is cheering for a football team.

This game took years out of my life as a bama fan but if there’s anything we learned
- Bryce is a stud and leader and I believe this was the game the whole team came together
- Defense looked amazing after being questionable on them all year

I like the old format. But the A&M vs LSU record overtime game in 2018 is what brought the change. Players were exhausted and fist fighting each other when the game finally ended.

I think Bryce Young probably won the Heisman with that last TD drive and his play in OT, particularly after Ohio State and Stroud lost to Michigan. Young has big stats on the year but the voters are also looking for big moments where players step under pressure in a big game, and it doesn't get any better than leading a 97 yard TD drive to tie the game in less than a minute with no timeouts.
Michigan's Hassan Hankins, who scored five TDs vs. Ohio State, has to be in the Heisman discussion as well.

I couldn't watch live. But, was amazed at what I saw on this video. Bryce Young was absolute money on the game-tying drive. Actually, both QBs made money throws. The TD pass/catch that tied it at 17 in OT was a thing of beauty.
