@@niss2142 the reason there were tons of penalties on Bama was 1) Their secondary could not cover UT’s receivers so had to play handsie trying to hold and interrupt their routes, 2)The crazy crowd noise levels forced a lot of false starts. Mistakes weren’t made as much as forced. It happens when playing one of if not the best offenses in college football in one of the loudest stadiums around.

I wouldn't say that. Vols have a SR at QB and are probably filled with SRs in most positions. While Heupel was at UCF for the 3 years he had 2 double digit winning seasons before getting out of there because he knew the 4/5 stars were not coming there. The big question is, can he recruit for a SEC doormat like TN to compete against the Dawgs. Looking at the remaining schedule, they could end up losing 2 or 3 games. If that happens everyone will forget this game and Heupel will be looking for a new job.

Michigan and Tennessee were two of the programs me and a friend always talk about that College Football needed back in relevance. It’s just good for the game financially and for us as fans. Michigan, USC, Texas, Tenn, and at least one of the major Florida programs are big teams who have been down for too long
Illinois fan here. Michigan is scary good this year. I don’t think PSU was ever a real top 10 team, but they still shouldn’t have been beat so thoroughly by anyone. Michigan is nasty in the trenches and the defense is criminally under rated. Hoping for a good showing on November 19

I've been saying for years that College Football needs Tennessee to be a powerhouse again. It's great to see Tennessee in the conversation again. Always loved watching them as a kid. I used to loathe when my dad would put Star Trek: Next Generation on instead of UTenn v. Florida in the evening. (Yes, this actually happened). Games like this are why NCAA FB is the greatest product in American Sports. Better than the NFL, MLB, NCAA BB, and NHL. Every week matters. The stakes are high from August - December. This will go down as one of the top games in history. I live in Tennessee. 2hrs south of Knoxville, and it hit my town like a "tone of bricks" when the Vols won! Streetlights, painted sidewalks/curbs, local shops selling Vols memorabilia, all my local Buffalo Wild Wings, Apple Bee's. It was Christmas for about 2 weeks!!!

I don't get it. Just about everyone is calling this game great. WTF, there was over 100 pts scored, both teams have almost 600yds of total offence, Tide committed 17 penalties for over 100 yds. This game by all measures was lousy. This is football not basketball people. TN possessed the ball for less than 25 minute and scored 52 pts. That alone should get Nick Saban fired. I thought I was watching a B12 game.

@@niss2142 the reason there were tons of penalties on Bama was 1) Their secondary could not cover UT’s receivers so had to play handsie trying to hold and interrupt their routes, 2)The crazy crowd noise levels forced a lot of false starts. Mistakes weren’t made as much as forced. It happens when playing one of if not the best offenses in college football in one of the loudest stadiums around.

I wouldn't say that. Vols have a SR at QB and are probably filled with SRs in most positions. While Heupel was at UCF for the 3 years he had 2 double digit winning seasons before getting out of there because he knew the 4/5 stars were not coming there. The big question is, can he recruit for a SEC doormat like TN to compete against the Dawgs. Looking at the remaining schedule, they could end up losing 2 or 3 games. If that happens everyone will forget this game and Heupel will be looking for a new job.

Michigan and Tennessee were two of the programs me and a friend always talk about that College Football needed back in relevance. It’s just good for the game financially and for us as fans. Michigan, USC, Texas, Tenn, and at least one of the major Florida programs are big teams who have been down for too long
Illinois fan here. Michigan is scary good this year. I don’t think PSU was ever a real top 10 team, but they still shouldn’t have been beat so thoroughly by anyone. Michigan is nasty in the trenches and the defense is criminally under rated. Hoping for a good showing on November 19

I've been saying for years that College Football needs Tennessee to be a powerhouse again. It's great to see Tennessee in the conversation again. Always loved watching them as a kid. I used to loathe when my dad would put Star Trek: Next Generation on instead of UTenn v. Florida in the evening. (Yes, this actually happened). Streetlights, painted sidewalks/curbs, local shops selling Vols memorabilia, all my local Buffalo Wild Wings, Apple Bee's. It was Christmas for about 2 weeks!!!

I don't get it. Just about everyone is calling this game great. WTF, there was over 100 pts scored, both teams have almost 600yds of total offence, Tide committed 17 penalties for over 100 yds. This game by all measures was lousy. This is football not basketball people. TN possessed the ball for less than 25 minute and scored 52 pts. That alone should get Nick Saban fired. I thought I was watching a B12 game.
