Don't know what magic the coaches do in the locker room during halftime, but please keep it up! It's a joy to watch how the team adjusts and dominates the second half like a completely different team!
I don’t think they really made adjustments. It was just Ohio being forced to respect the pass allowing us to run. Then they had to respect both and they couldn’t keep up.
When Joel Klatt questioned Harbaugh’s deferment, I remembered “oh yeah, they really don’t focus on Michigan games.” They dominant second half’s, and deferring plays to their strength. Harbaugh’s staff might be the best in football with adjustments. OSU had to have a significant lead at halftime to overcome, because while OSU will get the better recruit, we’re clearly seeing why Harbaugh is so successful in pro and college; he’s an incredible coach.
If you give Harbough time he is a great coach. Michigan made the right decision in not throwing him away after a couple of dodgy seasons at the start. In collage you let him get his recruits and train them to where he wants and you will have a good collage programme. This is coming from a guy in the UK as well, so if I can see it how in the hell do so many people in the US not?? As I still see him getting abuse from all corners.
Yeah I don’t get why he said that. It doesn’t take a genius to understand when you start a rivalry game in the other teams stadium you generally want them to start off with the ball because the crowd is louder at the start of the game. You don’t want your offense to deal with that noise from the start. Especially with the other teams defense ready to destroy somebody.

OSU has an insane amount of talent that’s why. Their offense is insane. Jesse minter called a great game and Michigan is the toughest team in the country. Those boys do not fold. If Michigan could get recruits like Bama, GA, OSU does they’d run the table for years.
idk what it is with Day and his coaches. But it's like they don't see whatever else sees until way after we all do. Vs. Penn State everyone was yelling for them to stop throwing the ball to the sidelines early in the 2nd quarter because it wasn't working. It wasn't until late in the 3rds, and even after the announcers outright said "it's not working" that the coaches changed. In this game, arguably every TD of theirs can be attributed to not having a safety back there. You'd think after the 2nd TD they would have fixed that but hell, even on Michigan's last TD still, no safety.
@@Gustarx That is exactly it... Not only did they torch them with the pass it is what allowed those 2 late long TD runs as well. They did it ass backwards Michigan is without their starting RB and they decide to play man to man and pack the box.
This was like a coming out party for Michigan's passing game. Its like.. Ooo we can throw 😈. Mind you they still ran the ball for over 200yds...great performance!

Only real team you played all game and it was 31-23 before 2 faux runs. I mean good on you all, but UGA will beat the fuck out of scUM. Enjoy the day for sure though. Congrats.
Wellthey clearly won there a few years back but somehow in OT they were given a first down on the 4th down play even though the OSU QB was clearly behind the lineman the entire time and the lineman wasnt even over the first down line!!
Going into the game I was shuttering with fear because Blake Corum was hurt. But the coaching, grit, and heart exhibited by the players was outstanding. I was blown away by the growth everyone has showed. Go Blue!
I am so proud of Michigan, last yr we got our first win against them in what felt like forvever now we’ve won in Columbus for the first time in forever. It’s great to be a Michigan Wolverine 〽️〽️〽️
At the beginning of the game, the announcer was practically drooling all over himself whenever he talked about Ohio State. It was a pleasure to hear him forced to give credit to the Wolverines (and to watch the Buckeye fans stare in shock and disbelief). It was even sweeter that it happened in Columbus!
Gus Johnson is from Michigan…and is well known to be a Michigan fan. He had to remain neutral as an announcer, even going a little overboard with bucknut credit. Calm down.
Mike Sainristil, from WR last year to Corner this year he played magnificent and stopped at least 3 end zone passes including the almost TD to Stover, he is truly my game MVP

What a game! One thing to remember my Michigan faithful, all the pressure falls on Georgia to repeat. Even if they achieve it, Michigan is playing with house money once again because our biggest goal each season was achieved today.
You might be right from their standpoint. They were the team who couldn't win the big game before last year... But from um pov they said it after the game: Unfinished business. Best chance to win the title in 25 years and it's not house money. But we handled the pressure great in Columbus and will in Indy. Then the second season begins
Announcers were blowing OSU so hard in the first quarter, criticizing deferring to the second half, "punched Michigan in the mouth" after the first TD... they changed their tune pretty quickly. GO BLUE!
Michigan earned this win. JJ played an outstanding game, probably his best of his career, and the defense was amazing halting OSU to 3 points in the second half! Go blue! 〽️

@@9GodGo Literally all of the talking heads and pundits said the same thing and look what happened. Also we have the ability for other players to step up and shine. Corum? Edwards? Ball? Johnson? Wilson? Schoonmaker? Teams are gonna have a hard time planning who needs to be covered.
Wow that 2nd half, especially the 4th quarter was so unexpected. Michigan did what they havent done all year - gameplan around throwing the ball. A dominant performance by a team without their Heisman candidate running back, and his backup had a cast on his right hand so he couldnt hold the ball in it lol.
From a Buckeye Congratulations Michigan on a well played and coached game. You entirely dominated the second half. Buckeyes get too much praise from the media. Your quarterback deserves the Heisman over Stroud he is afraid of getting hit.
I disagreee Conor I believe Judy is being fair and honest. A rare thing you see from a buckeye. But I honestly enjoy when buckeyes don’t make excuses. cheers Judy!
JJ won’t get it this year, but if he plays like this all next year, he will. Also good game y’all. Hard to believe Big Blue has now done it back to back.
Takes a lot of class to make a post like that, we know the sting of defeat in this type of game. No matter what anyone says now I don't think many if ANY of us Michigan fans thought it would play out like that. Michigan has been a 2nd half team but they had like 1 rushing yard at half. It felt like Ohio would pull away with another big play or two, but I feel like Michigan's defense just executed their game plan perfectly and the strength of the team - the o-line - got some holes for an explosive RB. Props to you. The Big Ten is better when this rivalry is relevant.
Dawg fan here. Can't help but like and respect what Michigan is doing now under Jim Harbaugh. Always liked the guy and thought he was a terrific hire for Michigan. It's pretty cool how many similarities exist between UGA and Michigan, but the coolest part is watching these two programs use hard nosed, old school football to dominate these modern coaching philosophies. Don't get me wrong - Michigan is not as good as UGA in my mind but I am truly hoping for a rematch in the NCG. If there is one team capable of rising up and putting a loss on the Dawgs it's definitely them.
The last couple weeks I just had a strange feeling that Michigan is going to win the national championship this year and I’m by the way I’m a USC fan. Anyway game analysis, it was definitely a tale of two halves and Michigan simply exploded in the fourth quarter and I have never seen a team collapse like Ohio State did in the fourth
I don't know, they trounced ohio state last year too and got absolutely destroyed by Georgia and posed zero challenge. USC is looking pretty good right now, improving as the season goes on.
This is a fun rivalry until people take it way too far. As a non-cringe OSU fan, I think it's about time Michigan goes on a good run and I hope they win it all. I have a few good friends that are Michigan fans and I'm glad it is an exciting year for them again after going years with no excitement in the post season.
Thank you for making me less guilty of giving Michigan credit. I’ve grown curious about Ann Arbor and it’s culture. Blake Corum and JJ McCarthy are good dudes and I’m glad I’m a fan of the two.
My best friend is a Buckeye and as much as I hate to admit it, I love watching you guys play. Ggs - “The Game” is only this good because of fans like you guys!
Michigan utterly dominated Ohio State, and without their heisman hopeful, Blake Corum. JJ McCarthy just showed the country why Michigan fans were so excited when he came on campus. He gave them a special skill set, the dual threat ability with a cannon for an arm. Corum is the centerpiece of this team, so when he was injured, most people gave up on them for this game. But Michigan showed me something, they’ve evolved into a dominant team that can win in multiple ways.
When you have a TEAM of players, nothing is impossible. Remember when Brady had to come in Drew Bledsoe.... Won his first Super Bowl for the Patriots...
As much as i was impressed with how explosive Michigan's offense looked, their defense was even more impressive. After they allowed 20pts in the first half... they allowed three pts for the rest of the game. They were locked in! 🔒
I love how the announcer mentioned in the beginning of the game that The "world famous" Ohio State Buckeyes ... I've got news for you, no one outside of the USA knows where Ohio is on a map. Not a huge Michigan fan, but at least you can see it on a map without lines drawn. Donovan Edwards nailed it, good job mate!

In this game, you can actually see the adjustments during the 2nd Quarter
Could part of it be superior conditioning?

Harbough is underrated. He's a top 5 coach
@M Simmons Matw why bring race?
Yeah I don’t get why he said that. It doesn’t take a genius to understand when you start a rivalry game in the other teams stadium you generally want them to start off with the ball because the crowd is louder at the start of the game. You don’t want your offense to deal with that noise from the start. Especially with the other teams defense ready to destroy somebody.

My best friend is a Buckeye and as much as I hate to admit it, I love watching you guys play. Ggs - “The Game” is only this good because of fans like you guys!
OSU has been dominating this rivalry for 20 years. its time for them to go down.
In this day and age you have got to have a great dual threat QB to make it in college football and McCarthy had it all on display for this game..
As a buckeye fan. I going to say I'm proud of Michigan.
Very well said
When you have a TEAM of players, nothing is impossible. Remember when Brady had to come in Drew Bledsoe.... Won his first Super Bowl for the Patriots...
I been hipped on McCarthy, just sucked Corum couldn't go
Thank God for B Edwards though
As much as i was impressed with how explosive Michigan's offense looked, their defense was even more impressive. After they allowed 20pts in the first half... they allowed three pts for the rest of the game. They were locked in! 🔒
I just want to apologize to my Wolverines for thinking they couldn't win this game without Corum, but I'm really glad you proved me wrong. GO BLUE!!!
I’m a Georgia fan and I said the same thing
Never seen a crowd more stunned.
TOUCHDOWN, MICHIGAN, THE DON … one of my favorite calls ever
So where is everyone that was saying Michigan hasn’t beat anybody 😂 🤫
I love how the announcer mentioned in the beginning of the game that The "world famous" Ohio State Buckeyes ... I've got news for you, no one outside of the USA knows where Ohio is on a map. Not a huge Michigan fan, but at least you can see it on a map without lines drawn. Donovan Edwards nailed it, good job mate!
Gus Johnson clarified it's to pay homage to the late Jesse Owens who was a Buckeye
I thought that was over the top too
As someone who lived in Taiwan, the school that everyone wants to go to besides an Ivy or Stanford would be Michigan. And if it wasn’t their first choice, then definitely heard of Michigan. Top research university
@@ecliqsly6585 Academically, Michigan wins in every category. It's called one of the top Public Ivies for a reason. Go Blue!!
PSU fan but I’ve never rooted so hard before and yelled at my tv so much to cheer on Big Blue. Go Blue!!!
12:43 one of the best db plays of the year
Not to many teams go to the shoe & straight up bitch slap OSU, but Michigan did today. Go Blue 🙌
No team other than Michigan can 💪💪💪
I think this is the 15th time I've watched this. It gets better each time. Go Blue!
J.J. McCarthy had a hell of a game!!!!
Michigan recruiting will get a big boost from that total beatdown
Come back to this every now and again when I need an uplift😌
Michigan only beat OSU last year cause of home field advantage, what can you haters say now 😂😂. I’m not even a Michigan fan, but give credit where it is due 💯
Don't forget last year half the buckeyes had the "flu" too. Lol. Beat em without our best player today, on their turf and in normal conditions. GO BLUE.
@@TheCollectorCave YESSIR GO BLUE!!!
an amazing day to be a michigan fan!!!
So many big plays but that Sainristil play was phenomenal
