Welcome to my little cottage on wheels!!!! 🤗
My names Josie btw 😊 an English girl.
And I have been building this bus for ... a while now ..
and its finally finished!! I filmed this video after living in my bus for one month... and today I have just realised (by a happy accident) its my two month anniversary of living in here 😍 (I moved in on Star Wars day ... may the 4th be with you 😁) 🤟
Build wise - everything you see - I built from scratch, including most of the soft furnishings.
I was a complete DIY beginner, and I don't pretend that this was an easy task for little old me, but its been so empowering to learn the skills and now after 3 years of hard work I'm so happy with the fruits of my labour.
I recommend it to anyone that wants to give it a go! we can all do hard things ☺️ 🙌
I did pay the pros to help me with a few things however:
- Welding
- Gas
- electrics
- log burner
- diesel heater
- plumbing
(it took me 3 years to have a go at all the woodwork and sewing... I thought perhaps it would take me 10 years if I undertook all of that as well lol 😅) - but I do harbour some regrets on this matter.

After watching this video back, I made myself laugh a few times just because of the outrageously posh English phrases I sometimes say in my voice overs (I wonder if you know the ones I mean? ) - said for effect FYI... not sure I know anyone that talks like that in real life lol 😝

not one but TWO showers and its like half the size of a school bus?? 90% of tours I watch they shower at a gym or smt

I love how your van actually is realistic with the amount of storage you have and your personal belongings etc - it actually feels liveable

I am incredibly jealous!! I am a 70 year old woman and so regret that I didn't take the opportunity to do something like this when I was young. Back in my day a woman travelling solo like this would have been an oddity. Your bus conversion is exceptional and really reflects your personality. I think it speaks to a lot of woman because whether we love modern decor, industrial, cottage, we all like a little whimsy. Good luck on your travels and have a wonderful time. I agree she looks like Ariel ! but I think her personality is more of a Jane from Tarzan - though I guess Anna from frozen is very positive and bubbly so I can see why you said that- just Jane you laugh with more if you get me, and I think Josie is more funny. like have you seen her other videos? she defo funny in her building ones!

(Duno if you know she's a professional dancer... so bloody cool- I just found out now after looking at her instagram) so yeh Ariel seems even more fitting now !
You’re really gifted. Even though it took you 3 years, you thought every little place through. It’s so well organized and beautifully decorated. I can’t even imagine all the skills you need to make that. I wouldn’t live all year long in a van like this but I would definitely spend time when I need to ressource myself. Thank you for this visit. I loved it. 💛💚

@@leahwalker636 You can watch the videos of her doing it. My sister renovated her entire house from scratch, herself, no reason Josie couldn't renovate her own van, and she's already said she had help.
@@leahwalker636 Are you dumb? You can see here in her channel and other socials videos and photos of her doing everything from scratch. Yes, she did build (With some assistance, as she always shows.) and design everything. Even learning to use power tools without prior experience.

This is one of the cutest van home. She did an awesome job making it her personal space.
I absolutely love it. it's like vintage , cottagecore, disney princess cottage vibes. So cosy and lush and literally love all the ideas, how things are hidden etc. The bi fold door are amazing ! Love the mirror on one side makes the bus look bigger but also like a window is there. The bedroom is stunning ! So cosy ! Just really beautiful. I could defo see myself living there if I didn't have cats and 3 large dogs ❤

I'm not gonna lie, this is the cutest van built I've ever seen! It's big, but not massive, it has everything you need and the mirrors are genius to create an open and light atmosphere! Love it!

Oh my gosh 3:00 how funny. Love the van, super cozy, cool theme throughout and well thought out. Lots of power as well! Enjoy it. Tip for solo women vanlifers, only upload once you’ve already left whatever area that is in the video and if at all possible, post 2 weeks out for safety reasons. You are delightful.

Ok, I think most agree this is like the most adorable build ever! But can we talk about the recycled shower water! Like what!!! I have NEVER heard of anything like that in any build and it sounds amazing. To not waste the water and simply filter back as you are bathing is super cool! And the bathroom becomes one big room. The door design although confusing at first is super neat! I love everything about this build, but I must say the old maps for wallpaper in the cab is a double thumbs up!
Right? Sooo soo innovative and yes we need to know about the refiltering and also would it be bad to ask exactly what it cost you to do cause I still want to dream……hahaha
So many unnecessary things for function but so necessary for the coziest looking build ever. I can never look at another build again. I could happily live there.

I love the practical simplicity of this. You *could* come up with some elaborate system where the TV rises from a cupboard via hydraulics, but you could also just save yourself a lot of time and money and tie the TV to a shelf with string. Everything is well thought out and it works, but you're not overcomplicating anything.

I am in love with your Van..It feels so calming and so beautiful and i appreciate the most is that it has a shower and Toilet area altogether different in the Van plus its spacious Van with lots of ventilation and windows... Just a different world with Fairycore aesthetics..❤❤
