    Good video. I’d also add that while Kevin Mann and More plates both advocate trying RU (and one of them advocates the others), they both say to try something FDA approved first and they those other things should mainly not be used as a stand alone treatment, but in conjunction to using Finasteride. That’s what I have gathered as someone who watches them too. I believe they do this for the very hard responders that need some direct androgen blockers on the scalp also, along with Finasteride. Just to add more clarity. But definitely agree. Being conservative is best when it comes to health!

That will preserve your hair loss what stage its currently at .some lucky hyper responders may see a Norwood or two reversal just from two drugs alone .For .ore hair recovery growth stimulants like minoxidil and stemoxidine will get you more hair gains .theirs also other experimental out there targeting the WNT pathway to get more gains as I also use way 316606 as my sending alternating toppical

    Thank you for this very in depth analysis on topicals, I know you quickly disregarded RU-58841 due to it's lack of data. There is however very concerning clinical data on Nilutamide and this compound is chemically extremely similar to Ru-58841. As 1 percent of the participants would develop interstitial pneumonitis. This being said, the effective dosage as well as the half-life of RU is significantly lower than Nulitamide so it would most probably be a lot safer than Nulitamide for that reason alone. I know it is still two different compounds, but what would your expert opinion be on the possibility/probability of Ru-58841 having similar side effects to Nulitamide (interstitial pneumonitis). I just started Ru-558841 myself at a low dosage and experience no side effects, but I would not want to find out either. Not asking for medical advice just for an expert opinion for perspective :)

  • @Dunstlookalike

    How can we be sure these anti-androgens aren't blocking androgen activity in other parts of the body such as the brain? Finasteride definitely is a poor localized agent because even when it's applied topically, the molecular weight ensures that it penetrates past the skin on the scalp.
    I'm a female, but I'm still worried about limiting my androgen leveles systematically due to the cognition benefits of androgens. Finasteride additionally has shown to reduce neurogenesis and influences the level of mutiple neurosteroids including pregnenolone, which is also vital for cognition.

    • @isaacwadepharmd3969
      @isaacwadepharmd3969  3 года назад +2

      Not enough clinical studies to recommend as a pharmacist. The most recent one I could find in men is from 1980. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/7398983/
      Alfatradiol is very similar to regular estradiol in structure. Supposedly it has 100 times less estrogenic activity (it binds to and activates estrogen receptors alpha and beta to a lesser degree which would result in less feminizing effects).
      onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ddr.20244
      My question would be does alfatradiol go systemic after application to scalp? We know that regular estradiol passes through skin very easily, women can apply 0.5-1 mg of an estrogen gel and have good systemic effects. Looks like the normal dose of alfatradiol is 0.25 mg applied to the scalp. I would speculate that a clinically significant amount of alfatradiol would enter into the bloodstream. What effects this would have on a man I really cant say. As for your situation, I would stop using it and talk to a doctor. Alfatradiol could possibly be causing gyno and getting surgery on that if it continues to develop is not worth it in my opinion. Granted, if you are also using fin/dut or some other topical antiandrogen, those could also be contributing factors. Hope this helps, all the best!

    • @TravelWithTea8
      @TravelWithTea8 3 года назад +1

      @@isaacwadepharmd3969 Thank you for your reply :) Ok, maybe I should not use alfatradiol, safety in the long run is more imortant for me, since Im 28. I was also thinking it must go systematic because of tenderness in nipples. I actually feel more comfortable using finasterid and low dosage dutasterid than an eastrogen gel. I more worried that it may cause blod clots or something. I sometimes heard of girls using estrogen pills and get blood clots, dont know if that is much more likely in higher dosages than a topical application though.
