The amount of baskets MJ scored on multiple defenders, sometimes the whole damn defense, going at him at the same time is beyond absurd. I must have counted 6 hoops on two, another 5 on three and there were at least 2 hoops scored on 4 players from this game ALONE.
He was like a spider. Side to side, back and forward, while dribbling a basketball, quick as hell. Then off the ground and in the air in a millisecond. He could look so much like a robot, how quick he could move, it was not human. But then at the same time, he was so smooth and creative, especially in the air, so very human. He was something else.
80s Jordan was not of this world.
I always felt like his limbs reminded me of one. Especially on his college days
Yea 80’s Mike is the Mike nobody can F with.
"He's a one man gang"... He really did put on a show for this L.A crowd, exhibition stuff. Fantastic game, wish someone would upload the whole thing up.
During the 80's it seemed like MJ was literally unstoppable
Three of the five best players ever on the court at the same time here. MJ Magic Kareem
All 3 of them are in my all-time Mt. Rushmore 💯
I have never seen another player come even close to Michael Jordan. He was just head and shoulders above everyone in an era that was legendary
You know raw when you’re the away team and the home team is cheering for you
I was there. WAY up in section 14 of the Forum. This was the Lakers "Showtime" era, the most exciting period in NBA history--not like the sit around and hoist up threes crap you see today.
dont lie you were in the mens rooms
athletically he was on another planet this version of him looks the most gifted of all time
And he still is the most gifted ever
I was blessed to have grew up watching MJ!!
Me too. As time went on, my appreciation for MJ grew more and more. Can't believe how good we had it.
Same here, just old enough to remember that iconic '84 draft too.
@@FoodForThought356 Yes sir! I still think that's the best draft in history!
I was blessed to have grown up in Chicago and to see MJs whole career here. 🏀🐐👈
@@lucyaklar6345 Man I know it was like you was in heaven in that time lol
Is there a class above ICON? That word does not do MJ justice...
Dam magic has a hall of fame starting 5 going against MJ by himself like WTF 😂
Scott and Green are not HOFers and Kareem was 100-years-old by this point, but I get what you're saying.

At 3:30 what are the commentators talking about? That was a clear hack across the arms
My Favorite Team 💜💛 vs. My Favorite Player ♥️🖤
Jordan dunking over Jabbar!
Notice how much they were holding MJ and hand checking him. Can't do that nowadays. Also, the 3 second defense in the key. MJ would average 40+ with todays rules.
1:33
2:22
Every time I think I like a particular Jordan and year he shows me more…
84% FT!? Damn, Mike!
Simply no match for this men, nothing like mike in any era just like that, hes the GOAT of GOATs..🔥🔥🔥
That baseline move on B Scott for the dunk 🏆
He's a one man gang"""""
3:15 lol I'm what world is that NOT a foul.... The commentators tripping...MJ got raked across the forearm
I guess Im kinda off topic but does anybody know of a good site to watch newly released series online ?
@Elisha Arturo i watch on FlixZone. Just google for it =)
@Elias Ellis yea, have been watching on FlixZone for years myself :)
@Elias Ellis thank you, signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) I appreciate it !!
@Elisha Arturo happy to help xD
Young jordan is so damn scary, wish he had better teammates back in 1988, he would have beaten Pistons in the playoffs.
Talent, heart, skill, will, there will never be another M.J.!!!
This is the reason why I do believe Michael can beat everyone from any era. He has played against Kareem, Bird, Magic, Barkley, Drexler, The Bad Boys, Moses, Dr. J, Malone, Stockton, Ewing, Olajuwon, David Robinson, Timmy, Shaq, Penny, Alonzo, Reggie, Payton, Garnett, Iverson, Kobe, Ray Allen, Vince Carter, T-Mac, everyone!
In terms of personal stats and performance, MJ was able to beat them all. And if he could beat Kareem, Hakeem, Shaq, or Ewing, there's no reason that he can't beat Wilt and Bill Russell.
That's why he is the GOAT.
"He did get him a little bit across the arm"
literally all arm.
This is the goat, ladies and gentlemen.
i miss chick hes the greatest
This is the reason I love RUclips. This game was 7 years prior to me being born and I get to watch it 🏀
Again, wonderful Videos of the legend
MJ still had hair 😳
1:39 - Best Jordan tongue commentary i have ever heard haha... 'He could lick enough stamps to mail all the monthly bills'. Thanks for sharing :)
Good vid, would’ve been better if it included Magic Johnson’s highlights as well! After all, the Lakers won and he’s only the greatest point guard in NBA history. It was rare and special (always being one east and one west) that these two went against one another
@ 5:35 Kareem said "I´m just gonna raise my hand so my whole body does not appear inthe poster", lol...
This is Kareem at 40 years old, an NBA old man.
Thx Balthus. Appreciate it.
See this why he’s the goat. I remember watching all his games. I’m telling when the bulls played you stopped what you where doing so you could watch. Go practice his moves the next day at school
Rare upload.
Thanks!
and they say he wasnt as good in the 80s...bro these juggernauts had 4 hall of famers on each team he faced...srry that having a player like pippen who really wasnt any better then horace grant for a couple years help...everyone says because of pippen he advanced how bought lebron face some of these teams from the east that have hall of famers in the first round see where he ends up...two different players two different paths
@The Liquidator He also won the scoring title & DPOY
@@cowboys4ever348 Led the league in steals too (3.2), the team in blocks (1.6), All Star MVP, Slam dunk champ, back-to-back playoff 50's
"Blame the coach for that. That's his 'pre-rogative'."
-- Chick Hearn @ 4:42
Pre-rogative?!! LOL!!
legend
Balthus23, you are awesome.
Black Jesus hadn't even touched his prime and he fouled out a top 10 all-time perimeter defender who was in his prime - the other Michael (Cooper) on the floor.
@BenMasterz23 Keep that intro for all your videos, thats when i know its you. I've been watching your videos for as long as i can remember finding out about youtube, keep 'em coming.
Chick Hearn was the star of the video
Hahahaha, Mike Tyson was in the crowd cheering for his fellow Brooklyn native MJ...
There is a story by Tyson where he was about to ko MJ at a club in Chicago
@EveryDayIsAGoodDay ikr Jordan's family moved back to NC from NY when Jordan was still in diapers
@HoustonisImmortal • Jordan's mother, nearly 9 months pregnant with Michsel, accompanied her husband on a business trip to Brooklyn NY. She went into labor and gave birth to Michael at the old Cumberland Hospital. As soon as she was discharged, they drove back to North Carolina. Michael, at 5 days old was in North Carolina. He knows absolutely nothing about Brooklyn
@Amir883
plus byron scott too,a.c. green, michael cooper...all great underrated players
These commentators are hating on jordan....

Announcer: “he’s a one man gang!”
@BenMasterz23 What is enter the sandman intro?
Is there a slow motion replay of the dunk in the end?
WTH was that at 2:10 😆 🤣 😂 Jordan said F that guy 😆
7 HOFers here:
Magic
Kareem
Worthy
MJ
Pippen
Pat Riley
Chick Hearn
@BenMasterz23 Thats right, my bad. i wasnt paying attention.
@denshaotoko89 Not much you can do with rorry sparrow, dave corzine, brad sellars vs a laker team with Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Kareem Abdul Jabbar. It's pretty easy to play a solid team game with 3 hall of famers.
U cant compare this PERFECT human being with other players man
@KazaamJones I know, right !? mike is getting pimp-slapped across the arms and they are calling him "mr. jordan".... like his 6th free-throw in the 4th quarter was CRAZY . It just goes to show how much crap the vets were talking ("off the record") about mike .
4:07 makes it look so easy
Scottie Pippen's rookie season.
These announcers are fucking ridiculous. Hearn was such a homer.
@uberathlete Man i don't think the Bulls were a piece of shit. You have to realize this was the NBA Champion Lakers on they're home court, a great team. The Bulls were a very young and upcoming squad, you have to also remember this was Piipen and Grant's rookie seasons. The Bulls were an upcoming talanted team, but certainly not yet in the Lakers class.
My team STILL won though 💜💛 like the commentators said... Jordan was a 1 man show 💯💯
hehe im laughing at these cuts like "bradley cooper 5 personal foul.. :D
U know who he blocked? Mr Jordan. Hmm.
If Jordan's career overlapped magics and birds career, he woulda won 2. He wasnt winning shit w how he played one dimensionally against those Lakers and celtics teams.
Seriously? Here I thought it was because those teams had better players, multiple all stars & HOFs
@@cowboys4ever348 YOU THOUGHT RIGHT! He means 1 dimensional as, "all by himself,"
@@tonygrate As if Jordan was going to beat those teams just by passing more. Passing only helps when you have good players around you
What the fuck are these commentators talking about?
3:30, the announcer is like, "only Jordan gets that call" and then the replay shows it was a total hack job. Frickin' no-nothing homer's.
2 rebounds and 3 assists. For someone who had the ball in his hands for such long periods of time that’s both disappointing and a reflection of selfish basketball
Mike Tyson jumped he said at 5:42
Hilarious
Later on when SHAQ was on the Lakers, Chick Hearn called him “Abdul-Jabaar”.
This was not in 1988 but late in the 87’ season.
Yeah but the Lakers won !!!
magic johnson sucks at defense... lol
He totally did! And all the fools wonder why Jordan is the GOAT, he was one of the few 2 way dominate players in history.
The whole pocket analogically agree because prison electronically appreciate amidst a somber examination. mute, somber australia
Analysts refering to Jordan's special treatment. Back in the 80s before the campaign began and analysts called it objectively.
All the superstars got special treatment Bird , Magic, Lebron
yeah watch what the analysts are talking about at 3:27
look at the play closely.
Lool listen to the racist commentary ehen jordan got fouled on -3.03 😂😂
During this time, Magic was all around better than MJ. MJ didn't know quite yet how to make others around him better. He therefore couldn't win/close games yet like the Lakers or Celtics..he got there though in the 90's of course. Magic was already there as a rookie..let alone in college and high school. From rookie to retirement, win or loose, Magic would make it to The Finals
+TiltBrook Everything you said is b.s. Jordan was easily the better all around player at this time, considering he's so vastly superior defensively. Didn't know how to make his teammates better? That's just bullshit. Jordan carried a very young, not that talented team to 50 wins in a superior conference. In 1988 Jordan's best teammates were a young Charles Oakley, who was a good player, never a great player and an incredibly raw Pippen and Grant. Both guys had very little skill on offense at this point. Jordan was definitely making his teammates better, to say that he wasn't is just incorrect. From day 1 Jordan was pushing Pippen very hard in practice, helping make him a more complete player. Magic Johnson was very fortunate to be drafted by the best organization in basketball where he was consistently surrounded by great talent his entire career. Jordan didn't have that same luxury. He was drafted by a struggling Bulls franchise that had very little talent. To say Jordan couldn't close out games at this point is also bullshit, he was consistently winning games in the 4th quarter. And to your comment "Magic was already there as a rookie" well having perhaps the greatest center of all time still in his prime on your team may have helped, as well as all the other talented players he was surrounded with. Seriously, does context mean anything at all to people like you?
Nope. MJ didn't win titles till he got better talent around him. Yes, Magic was drafted by the Lakers, but they only began winning titles once he came on board. Prior to drafting Magic, the Lakers weren't winning titles with just Kareem and company. You are right that MJ was a better one on one defender, but Magic was a better team defender.
The Lakers needed Magic more than the Bulls needed MJ... once Magic left, the Lakers wouldn't win again till the Kobe/Shaq years. When MJ went off to play baseball, The Bulls still made the East Finals and almost knocked off NY
Bottom line...if he was better than Magic at this point (in the 80's) of his career, then why wasn't he playing against Magic in the Finals at all? It took him 7 YEARS to get to the Finals. Magic was there (and won it) as a rookie. MJ has even stated that Magic was easily the man in the 80's
No. It was Magic that was the reason they got to, and won, The Finals in his rookie year. Let’s remember, the Lakers hadn’t won a championship since 71-72. Then Magic came in, and the rest (of the 80’s) is history. Not denying that the Lakers had talent when Magic was drafted, but they weren’t a championship caliber team until he arrived. And they stayed that way all the way to his retirement
Like I said, I know they had talent, point I'm making is those teams never won, let alone, made it to The Finals without Magic. From rookie to retirement, win or lose, he was always in The Finals
Like this lebron talk is ridiculous...mj did more amazing sht in this game then I've seen lebron do his entire career. Not even top 10 let alone 1
yap that's 80s version of MJ
