- Welcome to Van Camping. In this episode, we live some Winter Beach Life. Donald with @softroadingthewest and I explore a location on the Oregon coast that is new to us and find a cool spot to set up camp for the night. We saw various wildlife including seals, seagulls and various sea ducks. I did try fishing, but the jetty was a bit sketchy, and I couldn't find a location that I felt safe fishing from. The wet and stormy weather didn't deter us from having a campfire and enjoying the sounds of the ocean.

I can't quite put my finger on the reason, but I feel like...I think...yes, this is definitely my favorite ever episode of Van Camping. It just had that extra little something.

Love the beach when not crowded. But always wet even in summer if only at night. Love my wood stove at home and in my tents.

Seeing the coast was a nice change. I live on the coast in BC. The ocean is literally my back yard when I am not out on back country trips. So nice to see an empty beach. Beautiful.
