Hard thoughts but you are missing a companion dog. Tough as it was for me putting it off...twice too...having much better than not..sorry if it upsets but I can feel the need...Take care. Enjoy this channel too!
Sadly, I was just thinking exactly the same thing. Grief is a hard beast. Jason shows such strength of character to keep on keeping on in this remote places x warmest biggest hugs to you and thank you sir! Your content is the stuff of dreams. (Especially for a Aussy )
I've been to that first spot. It was July 4th week of 2019 and I found it as I worked my way back up from the mountains south of Ashland. Looks gorgeous in winter.
Loved the soup to go idea, it’s cooks in the flask while you are walking. Like our thermal pots out here, where we cook everything & turn off the heat & just leave it in the pots until you pull up at night get for dinner & all is cooked ready. Love your videos Jason, so soothing. Stay happy, Elaine from Queensland,Australia.
Yes, you have awakened to a chilly but interesting morning. You always make the best of the great outdoors and you take us along with you to some gorgeous spots. Thank you!
Well done, Jason! Your love for the great outdoors and passion for telling a story through the lens of your equipment was on full display in this video. It’s one of the best I’ve seen this year so far. Thank you for sharing!
Very enjoyable, video is a art and today the honesty is a great reward ,the ad is understandable ,I do not enjoy tv or holly wood indoctrination for the last 25 year's,Thank You for sharing your wonderful Art and Love of this Country..
Very well done video. I enjoy your adventures. Thank you for bringing back the closing song. That is my favorite. When I hear it, I am taken right into the video.
Truly appreciate all the hard work that goes into making a Top notch video production like you put out. Thank YOU! Love your videos. Beautifully relaxing.
Jason. Great video!!! You know where all those gorgeous spots are!!!! Fantastic drone shots too!!! That up the river in that cliffy area was spectacular!!!! Loving the new channel too. Hope your trip to Utah goes smooth for you!! Can't wait to see 'Squach afterwards. Thank you making such beautiful outdoor videos!!!! Stay safe, and happy trails!!! Oh, this time of year sux for fishing, but you might want to look into fly fishing. It seems to me, dry flies seem to work better in the winter. I know from experience. Tho adding a dropper helps too. ;)
Beautiful video! I loved the cooking, of course. The soup to go with leftovers was genius. Such a beautiful location. Trey and I hiked to that gorge once, but it was something else to see the drone view of it.
Man I can’t wait till the thaw calms down. I plan on being on the Kings and San Joaquin as often as possible this summer. Hopefully my lungs can hold up at the higher elevations. 🤞🏼
I just wanted to say thank-you for creating a beautiful piece of art-wood cutting, fire, cooking, etc. Your “theme” song was as peaceful as the sound of the stream, the wind in the trees and the quiet!
I subscribed to this channel mainly because I am a subscriber on Donald's channel, (softroadingthewest). I like the trips you guys have done together, watching the same trip from different perspectives..
Really enjoyed this format. Great editing with lots of camera work variety and drone footage included. Have been following your channel for a long time and am so impressed with your growth as a videographer. Am a fellow Oregonian who loves everything central Oregon has to offer.
Love these videos and I get to camp vicariously through you… one thing I do miss is the pups being with you… I recently lost mine and only time can heal but I hope you have another one soon! Btw I live in Oregon and you’ve passed through my town a few times
I like your videos. That part of Oregon is beautiful.i would love to do the same. Buy a van live off grid. Fish eat and show people where im at and put it on you tube to get paid. Those Ants were massive.i thought you were going to say those were bark Beatles killing that tree. But those carpenter aunts shit were massive. Thanks for the video
Hey there. I’ve never come across you talking about bears. What’s your thoughts and experiences with them? How to avoid, protect yourself (Would be a great topic to discuss in a video). Looking forward to it.
I lived in a small studio south of Santa Cruz for close to 20 years. My only heating source was a wood stove. 2 minutes away from the beach. Always having enough wood to heat my place through the winter.
Thanks for sharing the serenity of nature! Curious as to the brand of boots you're wearing? NH boy here and do enjoy my LL Beans however walking any distance and they lose comfort points.
The end was great life does get tough then smooth and that's life. When you said it gets drerry not sure how to spell drerry.but any way then you said when the sun comes out and shines on the rocks trails and trees I was like yup your right those shots you made does look like a fairy tail. But watch out for bears. I was going to say it would be great for you to show your back pack off and the gear you carry when you hike and fish. I saw a huge camera lens the size of mount Rushmore. Also it looked like a texting devise for emergency.and what sort of protection do you use or have for bears if confronted.thanks

🪕🎼🎼🎼…like a bird on a tree…🪕🎼🎼🎼…I’m just sitting here…. 😂 thanks, Jason for putting this song as your outro. 😁👍
Sharpening your own chains... I like that. I have spent many an hour taking dull chains over to a local shop for sharpening and bringing them back.
Enjoying this

Great camp set up, fire makes a camp I reckon

Man an old military trailer would be ideal to carry firewood in also relatively cheap.
Thanks for taking us on this perfect 'fairy tale trip'!
Absolutely awesome job. Beautiful country, can't wait to get back out west. Peace my friend.

You need to upgrade your fishing reel. One big fish and I think it might fall apart on you. Lol. Great content like always.
That old Coleman white gas lantern... I still have and use one.
Fantastic
Drifta makes a good firewood bag that keeps everything contained.
I lived in a small studio south of Santa Cruz for close to 20 years. My only heating source was a wood stove. 2 minutes away from the beach. Always having enough wood to heat my place through the winter.

Well done! This type of video obviously takes a ton of effort.
Jason, you would have been a good fur trapper back in the 17 and 1800s
