Probably one of the coolest times I went fishing was at Wishon Lake in the Sierras. NO ONE was at the lake yet. Sun was coming up. It was freezing. I was in the water, in my float tube, over a real deep rock crevice, and this bald eagle was at the top of a large tamarack. It swooped down and snatched a trout out of the water about 100 yards from me. Just freaking awesome. Can’t think of a more memorable moment
If Daisy were alive, don't you think she'd say.. Dad? dont go through life without another dog because I passed. There's one out there that needs you as much if not more than I
Very enjoyable episode, looked like a great spot. Anytime I encounter elk, they get away from me WAY faster than I can get a camera on them, so even the filtered views through the trees were nice to see.
Sweetness as always! Any way a person could get on a list to volunteer on the juniper trimming next time?? Thank you for all your videos all these years!
That steak made me hungry! Have you thought about putting up a few trail cameras when you’re camped in one spot for several days? Could yield some nice photos/videos, especially at night time. Be safe!
Great video Jason, peaceful and I enjoy the wildlife focus. Golden eagle would have been a spectacular capture but the bald eagle is just as amazing. That river is tough to fish, I’ve tried a few times and been skunked every time. The fish there spook real easy and I’ll admit I’m not the most graceful wader with gear on me haha. Take care
Great video as always Brother, I'm looking to get those Danner boots as well, cause I hunt in AZ and encounter rattle snakes 🐍 year round, I agree gators are a pain in the behind👍
Excellent photography and videography Jason. I really enjoy the drone footage. The peacefulness of winter in the woods is wonderful. Thanks for what you do.
I bet another perfect 10 filming and fun venture.. I don't know where along the beautiful coastline .. maybe we'll see you. Drive safely and it was very peaceful wonderful flick...
Great video as usual. Beautiful scenery. Out of curiosity, why don't you install a silicone stove jack for the passthrough of the chimney pipe? All you'd need is a couple of double wall pipe sections and the stove jack. Seems like you'd get a lot of draft through the current passthrough. Look at the Winnerwell stuff they make for the canvas tents.
I respectfully disagree. Having a dog, and I love dogs, had them my whole long life. Is no different than having a toddler for 10-15 years. It's liberating to not have to worry about that toddler while planning and living your next adventure. Just my take on it.
Dont you have studded tires where you live? Here in the northern Sweden we have thatcin the winter time.. I cant tell if it's more expansiv over there and over here But here it's a most in the wintertime Best regards/ Elisabeth - Naturliv I Norr
G'day mate. Calling in from the bottom of the world. Not sure if you're a Canuck or Yank, but Sorry I can't pick your accent. I have subscribed to your channel, because I'm interested in the subject. Just a quick Q and A....is it at all necessary to keep talking. I don't live in your country, but I have enough brain cells working, to figure out t what you're doing...just by watching. I'm also subscribed to the Danish vlogger, Bertram, great outdoorsman, who's first language is not English. He doesn't say anything, but I know if he's cutting chaga from a tree, or pine for pine tea, or catching fish, or if he's carving a new spoon, or whatever, simply by using my eyes. By the way, he has 1.19m subscribers. All without talking.! Imagine that.!!! Thanks for sharing, and even though I was on mute, I was able to understand what you were doing. Again thank you for the upload.
Loving your camping videos Jason, BUT.. your constant use of the plural is really annoying. I guess you are trying to be inclusive of the watcher and you are not the only one doing it but you are alone, we can see you are alone and it is just strange to constantly hear we. Sorry to be a downer but it's so grating. Love your work however

Don't think I could ever tire of seeing a bald eagle in nature. See them often while kayaking. And it is always a magical moment.

Nice drone work. Always peaceful in the winter.
Little cold for me.
I bought a Ram van and I have been spending the winter in it in AZ. I want mine to be a "cabin" like yours with a wood stove. My summer project!
Great video Jason, I always look forward to these van camping episodes. Cheers!
Great video, Mahalo for sharing.
Winter charm
You eat good Jason!!

Such a beautiful area. Love your videos. Wondering if that’s the Deschutes River?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love your videos. You keep saying "we". Is there someone with you?
thanks..
You need another dog for company. Thanks for the video!

Would you ever want an extended version of your van, or are they too long for where you go? Just curious, that's all.
Do you have any videos of your van build? I can't seem to grasp where the wood stove is and how it's vented
We have two nesting close to our home
Do you have a link for the generator that you use?
Why are you using inverter? Macbook charges from 12 volts, just get a type-c adapter with decent wattage.
❤ my little Honda gen makes van life easy for sure 2 years now +10 years with out . How do you find your wood stove , was worth it ?

I’m interested about your inclination to speak about yourself in the plural?
