I got a 3.400 sec 0-60 in my 2016 340i xdrive. I’m using a JB4 custom backend flash with a VTT upgraded turbo, upgraded high pressure fuel pump, VRSF downpipe and charge pipe and BMS cold air intake. 0-60 time was obtained using the JB4’s new 0-60 time feature. This was without launch control or building boost. The B58 is a CRAZY engine!
3.4 sec with fbo and upgraded turbo and ONLY 3.4??? Kinda slow for probably 140 hp more. These things stock with awd are supposed to be good for 4.2 sec.
@@jakekorach7591 The difference between stock and stage 1 was bigger than stage 1 and stage 2. But it is still faster on stage 2, and drives better with aftermarket downpipe
Is it safe to run stage 1 BM3 on a complete stock 440i? I only have an exhaust but don’t plan on any upgrades for a while. Was wondering if the tune would be safe
I think its just xDrive and the 18 inch wheels getting me under 4 seconds. My acceleration slowed down a little after switching to heavier 19s. I talked to some other people and they were seeing similar results to me. The xDrive makes a huge difference, I hook instantly
Stage 1 DP & Stage 2 are pretty similar. When I did Dyno runs it came about to be about the same, but driving it does feel different. It’s just the way it pulls harder uptop. With a 0-60 run I wouldn’t be surprised to see a big difference
Ok now I see the times! What was the temp when you did the runs? Also why not flash to stage 2 after you put that high flow DP on? I think you you can.....I hear a lot that the DP ( be it high flow of catless ) is all you need to advance to stage 2. Others says you need DP + gapped plugs and intake. I was about to do DP and asked PTF if I needed Intake and regap plugs and they said many didn’t do that, only DP. With stage 2 and LC you might see 3.7. I bet your quarter is around 12.3 because Audi A8 4.0t with launch hits a 3.8 and does 12.3 Go for it with quarter on that road....just have your radar on....you’d have to go around 115 to make sure your 1/4 is logged though

I just curious as to how many tenths doing LC cuts off? Maybe even a 0-60 without even holding brake and revs also. Would be interesting to see how much. Some say LC on this takes 2 to 3 tenths off 0-60 and subsequent 1/8 and 1/4 times
Yeah maybe an off idle 0-60 / 1/8 mile or as mentioned a non LC rev hold 0-60 / 1/8 mile? It would be interesting just because EVERYONE does LC runs on RUclips! And there is always this almost scientific debate you hear about concerning how much LC really helps with times
This is a 2018. I don't have the car anymore. But the B58 engine is known for being pretty solid. But it is still a BMW, so repairs and maintenance can be expensive
Nah it won't, the biggest improvement is stage 1, stage 1 adds like an extra 50+whp whereas stage 2 only adds an additional 15hp onto stage one, what u need is like a stage 3 with E50 to see a big difference

Slightly more raspy sounding now and maybe 20% louder. I still have my two mid pipe resonators though. I'm gonna cut the first one out and see how it sounds

@@luisolebron7278 Before I got my 340i, I had an F30 335i with the AWE muffler, AWE non resonated mid pipe, VRSF high flow catted DP. The cold starts were very loud, but after that it was fine. Pretty much no drone after it warmed up. And it sounded amazing. Got lots of videos of that setup on my channel
I would have gone for b58 it was a later revised version. I prefer to stay away from new engine ranges for the first few years. Prefer to go for lci versions which I'm sure the b58 will be great for. But since I wanted a 6er, b58 never was an option even in 2018. And the n55 is a later version on my lci. I trust it...

I’m having a hard time believing you are doing sub 4 on stage 1……..my 2018 440i GC xDrive just hit 3.8 on MHD Stage 2 and xHP stage 3 last night. Now granted your car is 200lbs lighter but i wouldn’t say that would be enough to put your stage 1 at sub 4 unless you weigh less than 150 lbs 🤣 take a screenshot of the dragy results I’m curious about your DA. Solid time though
I thought the same. I even tried looking at the footage and timing it myself to see if Dragy was messing with me. The DA is -1453ft and slope is 0.18. Does show up as a valid run on the Dragy performance report. What was the temperature like outside when you did yours? Also how did you do your launch?
@@NWAuto oh it’s your negative DA that is giving you a bit of an advantage like that 😂 temperature last night for me was 45 degrees at 216ft elevation. I stupidly didn’t have my damn precise location so couldn’t tell you my DA unfortunately. I utilized the launch from 2nd gear function from xHP.
@@DKazFPS I'll make sure to post my performance report screenshot next time. The difference between stage 1 to stage 2 is a lot less than stock to stage 1. So I'm not too surprised how close our times were considering all the factors

Normal for AWD.. Saw a bunch of stage 1 340/440 F series run sub 4 at the track.

My stage 2 A3 on custom tune e85 does 3.6 0-60 and 11.7 1/4 mile but I still want a 340i too haha, maybe next year I’ll make the switch.

I mean I ran 3.8 with my stage 2 n55 335i on a valid dragy run with a passenger and full tank of gas. definitely believable.
