This may be useless at this time, my charger with the zf also whined. Unfortunately not the supercharger kind, but I definitely noticed a supercharger esq whine especially after an intake, obviously could be unrelated but thought that was interesting.

E90 lci also used electric steering but with much better feel then f30. They dropped the ball big time unfortunately

Do you get full HP in EVERY mode on the car? I'm trying to assess if my Dinan Stage 1 tune is still active after an ECU swap. My HP goes up to 380 hp but computer cuts in, either cause the rears lose traction or maybe I lost the tune.

I have a F15 X5 35iX with 126k miles that has MPPK, MPE, KN drop in filter and running on 93 octane. The manufacturer rates the N55 on this X5 at 320hp with the MPPK and the sport displays goes to 400hp. On a recent pull in Sport+ at WOT the sport display reached very close to 350hp which is higher than the manufacturers claim.
